2016 was 3 years ago... A lot can change in 3 years
-
My bad, Update website had him at 12!! Still beat Max once though in heat 7... Does he get magical powers when it's an individual meeting like? Josh MacDonald seemed to do ok too... Worth looking at
-
The 12 point maximum he has SO FAR got tonight (Admittedly against kinda weak riders, but the type of riders he'd be up against at a number 2 position) would suggest otherwise Edit: Beating the likes of Clegg, Newman, Phillips, Wallinger NATHAN GREAVES around Redcar... I know one good meeting doesn't make a rider, but he seems to do pretty good every time he's in these types of meetings
-
Don't normally agree with you but...
-
So basically... How the f*ck has Jacob Bukhave not got a uk team yet? And would he be on a 4.00 or a 5.20 average?
-
Kus is a good rider on a bargain average... Bjerre is a good rider going through a rough patch... Just dropped by Peterborough, can he even afford the uk now? I'm a big fan, but he is clearly injured and rides on a lawnmower... And sometimes I think he's just relieved to get round Brough park, never mind win there... It's a real shame

DON'T SAY 42!!! TSUNAMI WILL HAVE A FIT!!

Just going to copy and paste my ideas from the other thread here so they don't get too lost on the Newcastle Vs Leicester thread... Still think these are our best and most likely only options 1. Steve Worrall 8.04 2. Dimitri Berge 5.03 3. Matej Kus 5.63 4. Matthew Wethers 5.96 5. Thomas Jorgensen 7.92 6. Max Clegg 4.00 7. Danny Phillips 2.00 Total: 37.95 1. Steve Worrall 8.04 2. Matthew Wethers 5.96 3. Kyle Newman 5.71 (Edit: Kus then?) 4. Mark Riss/Tobias Busch 4.84/4.97 5. Thomas Jorgensen 7.92 6. Max Clegg 4.00 7. Danny Phillips 2.00 Total: 37.84/37.97 1. Steve Worrall 8.04 2. Max Clegg 4.00 3. Tero Aarnio (Poland?) 6.83 4. Matthew Wethers 5.96 5. Thomas Jorgensen 7.92 6. Danyon Hume 3.79 (Or one of the 4.00 Aussies) 7. Danny Phillips 2.00 Total: 37.91 Edit: Just seen we are too late again to sign Kyle Newman... Oh well We'll just sit and watch everyone else be ambitious instead

Newcastle V Leicester 19/5/19

Yup... And I'm STICKING with my choice Mind you I would like to see Mark Riss and he fits there too, so either or... -
Always been a big fan, and I feel really sorry for him, but he just can't ride Brough I still like the suggestions I made on the other thread

We'll wait, we always do... Wait until it's too late

Newcastle V Leicester 19/5/19

Personally... I wouldn't consider Danny in MY team... But I think Phillips senior might lose a bit of interest and funding if his son is suddenly dropped? Maybe that's part of the deal... I'll keep your club afloat... If you let my son ride... If the other 6 riders can all fire (And I think in the teams I suggested they would) carrying Danny may not be the end of the world if it means Martin will keep our club alive... However he does need a kick up the arse!! Plus... Sounds like he does A LOT of work off track, which is a big help and is appreciated greatly, something that could go unnoticed... -

Great meeting!! I don't even mind losing to see racing like that... Josh Bates and Thomas Jorgensen have a set of balls on them... Steve very unlucky, breaking down twice, costing us the meeting imo, through no fault of his own of course, hope there's not too much damage there for him Matthew Wethers rider of the season so far imo, goes very unnoticed as far as I can tell, but he really is the engine behind the team, consistently scoring points... And likes a donuts or two after finishing heat 15 ahead of Richie Worrall and Scott Nicholls (Two of Britain's biggest riders) Re-passing Richie as if he was an amateur... Personally, I still feel a few changes need to be made... Can't see Danny being dropped, and I wouldn't mind us carrying him... BUT only one rider can be afforded to be carried in a team... Simon is another who we are carrying (no offence) he's just struggling for form and I don't think riding Brough every week is helping him re-find it... Think Lasse is struggling too, but will turn it around, he's clearly struggling mechanically and has had injury problems over the past few weeks, which can't help, wonder if a break for a couple weeks might help?... Max again, looking like a very good young reserve, soon to be number 2 presumably? I have a couple of proposals, based on what I have mentioned above in the last paragraph... Just as a supporter having a bit of interest and fun... 1. Steve Worrall 8.04 2. Dimitri Berge 5.03 3. Matej Kus 5.63 4. Matthew Wethers 5.96 5. Thomas Jorgensen 7.92 6. Max Clegg 4.00 7. Danny Phillips 2.00 Total: 37.95 1. Steve Worrall 8.04 2. Matthew Wethers 5.96 3. Kyle Newman 5.71 4. Mark Riss/Tobias Busch 4.84/4.97 5. Thomas Jorgensen 7.92 6. Max Clegg 4.00 7. Danny Phillips 2.00 Total: 37.84/37.97 1. Steve Worrall 8.04 2. Max Clegg 4.00 3. Tero Aarnio (Poland?) 6.83 4. Matthew Wethers 5.96 5. Thomas Jorgensen 7.92 6. Danyon Hume 3.79 7. Danny Phillips 2.00 Total: 37.91 All three options would give us a lot more strength in depth, have riders who are more consistent, and the first two, keep Max at reserve? And perhaps more importantly, allow us to carry Danny Phillips and no one else? I know Tero rides in Poland, but maybe an agreement or a work around could be met? Dream on!! -
Birmingham Brummies 2019
Dandelion replied to Brummies_Ste's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Haven't been following Birmingham or Paco too much... But he looks a lot better than the Paco who rode for Sheffield a few years ago I think he sounded disappointed with stonemans signing tbh... He's not a bad talent though -

No... I was quoting JJ and adding my own comments, it was not directed at him... It was directed at the previous post JJ was quoting... Not intended for JJ at all -

Doubting the man before he has even ridden a heat yet... Sad -
Scunthorpe v Newcastle League 10.5.19
Dandelion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well we must have been in different weather fronts When I say near, I mean 30 miles north lol... And I think the amount of water the track must have taken during the week, it would have just turned to mush anyway, no matter what the weather did -

Dandelion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Was near Scunthorpe last night, coincidentally, wasn't planning on going to the meeting, but it p!ssed down all afternoon and evening, would have made it hard to see for the riders, never mind how bad the track was -
Scunthorpe v Newcastle League 10.5.19
Dandelion replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Don't know about down there, but it's rained A LOT today up here and it's practically flooded... With little bits of rain forecast every day between now and the weekend also, could this be off? Any insider information on how the track took the rain today? Expecting a Scunthorpe win also, even if we have two former Scunthorpe number 1s in the team... Scunthorpe look better at reserve, hopefully Simon can take to EWR good? I assume he likes it, with it being a big track... Matty has been solid all year so far, hope that continues... And Lasse, can he go a meeting without breaking down? On a serious note, how's his injury? Is he ok to ride this one? -
Makes sense... Thanks for making that clear... Is the Slovenian league professional? lol... That matic ivacic impressed me in SON
-
This might sound stupid... But what counts as professional experience? Is it certain leagues count as professional and some don't?
-
Yes thank you, I realise this now, I thought Danes came in on a 4.00, just because of the likes of Grondal the other year, obviously the rule has changed... Shock
-
Excuse me... I thought Thomsen was on a 4.00 average... The rules for Danes must have changed since the days of Grondal and such has it? Does that mean Grondal would be a 4.00er (His last average) or 5.20? A young Dane (Or Aussie) would be worth the risk in the team imo... They'd soon go to reserve and you never know... Not many people had heard of Kenni or Rene in 2009, To bring either Newman or Thomsen in would require dropping one of the top 4 or replace Clegg with a 2.00er... Both of which would be stupid imo Nothing probably Probably were hoping no one would turn up... What kind of questions were asked?
-
Not a straight swap... But maybe something like Newman and kus in and bjerre and Simon out? I personally wouldn't like that... I like lasse... Maybe Tobias Thomsen? We seem to have a knack of getting the best out of Danes... He'd be at number 2 too... He seemed ok for Birmingham like
-
I think Jedd would do better than that once he's given an opportunity to settle and at reserve...
