  1. I'm assuming Edinburgh are making space for someone to replace Willie... Sedgmen when fit can come in at reserve... I know he's popular up there and can only improve if he's at reserve...
  2. Fair enough, but it definitely circulated that he was signing back for Scunthorpe... So did his family move over or what? He's ridden second halves at Newcastle since, and not just immediately after Scunthorpe dropped him, weeks after
  3. What happened to re-signing Jedd List? Thought that had been arranged
  4. Does he still ride? I wouldn't say no to him at number 7...
  5. I am well aware of that, but the constant silence from the club is never very reassuring... I know sometimes there's nothing to say, but the fan interaction isn't the best at Newcastle, no one can deny that... Hell the website hardly updates
  6. Well if we're one rider away, why don't we be a bit ambitious for once and have a gamble... We're clearly carrying too much now, and if we do nothing, the season will be over VERY soon
  7. It's the added limit points that have helped us... Our team as a whole has stayed at a similar level... Max and Matty increasing, Tommy and lasse decreasing... Everyone else the same... Ish Would have liked Connor at reserve... Think he's got a good style and knows our track already... Just was too early for him a few years ago
  8. Yes... We'd be 2.03 points under the limit... Danny is 2.00 and danyon would be 3.69 (last year's average with 2.5% reduction... I think) or alternatively we could swap lasse for a new number 1 8.50 or less... (Just missing out on Erik Riss ☹️ 8.58)
  9. On a positive, with next months average we can do a straight swap, Danny for Danyon
  10. Certainly agree about Connor, he's experienced at our track too Richard Andrews intrigues me too... Just jumped up into the 8 points average wise in the NL, seems like a good team leader, experienced... Only problem seems to be geography!! What about Danny Halsey? Anyone? lol
  11. I think ruff was on about the speedway equivalent of the transfer deadline... I assume
  12. Limit goes up next month, dunno when cut off date is though... Totally agree... The season will be pointless soon, and we had a team with so much promise... Lunna and Palovaara dropping out didn't help us... Because even though we got Steve... The other spot has been a nightmare to fill
  13. I thought Eastbourne looked a good team this year, especially after signing Kyle... Birmingham not so much, but they have strengthened... And have Ashley at reserve!! Mind you, Newcastle at the bottom of the league is still no good... I thought Berwick looked weak this year too...
  14. I really like Lasse, but he's struggling a lot this year, I thought Tommy was the one struggling, but I'm not sure that's really the case, Lasse has good scores, like 8+1 at Eastbourne, then the next meeting he'll have 3 breakdowns and a win... Kinda frustrating... But I don't want him to leave under storm clouds... As the Bjerre's should always be welcomed at Newcastle
  15. Didn't realise Dan would come in on converted average!! I know he ride in Poland, didn't say I'd want him in the team, he's just been mentioned I guess Mason Campton will qualify like... I still like Danyon and think he's worth trying to fit in, good prospect and a hard rider Ben Barker and Joe Lawlor aren't ideal, but they are options for a struggling team with nothing to lose... Lasse and Danny could be replaced with a combination of either Dimitri Berge and Kasper Andersen or Bradley Wilson Dean and Danyon Hume Dimitri is riding very well for Belle Vue this year and I felt bad for Kasper when replaced at Sheffield, could become a very good rider and could be considered as a long term rider for us imo Bradley Wilson Dean and Danyon Hume speak for themselves, much better upgrades to what we have now... All riders we probably couldn't convince to come to Brough though, which for some reason seems to be our biggest problem...
  16. Fair enough, if the deadline passes, our team is what it is... THAT is where it gets different I assume if a rider drops out himself after the deadline the team is then allowed to sign someone? How does that work?
  17. Danyon Hume‏ @DanyonHume_ FollowFollow @DanyonHume_ More Need more meetings 9:52 PM - 4 Jun 2019 He's keen...
  18. Danyon Hume with a 2.5% reduction and Ben Barker on a 6.90 average fit would fit, even with next months rolling average taken into affect... That's with replacing Danny and Tommy... I do like Tommy a lot and Ben has A LOT of outside issues... But he'd still do a better job imo than the inconsistent 2019 Tommy has Steve Worrall © 7.72 Max Clegg 4.52 Lasse Bjerre 6.65 Matthew Wethers 6.50 Ben Barker 6.90 Danyon Hume 3.70 Jacob Bukhave 4.00 39.99 And as has been said, Dan Bewley would be perfect... But you'd have to live on drinking land to believe it What do Kenneth Hansen and Jonas B Andersen do these days?
  19. Well, if all goes the wrong way tonight the Newcastle Diamonds could find themselves firmly at the bottom of the Championship table... Will the promotion do something about that? Or will we just go out with a wimper... With the average limits increasing we need to be looking into riders such as Danyon Hume on a 3.79 average and Danny Phillips also needs to be having a long, hard look into the mirror... Surely a season and a half sticking at it for the Colts would do him so much better... Danyon would be one of the better number 7s in the league imo which would really help us... I feel like Tommy also needs to step up his game again, even just back to the form he showed near the beginning of the season, or he may find himself at risk too... Could we possibly persuade someone like Rene Bach, Nicolai Klindt, Theo Pijper, Ludvig Lindgren or Mason Campton (Leaving more points for elsewhere in the team also) to Brough Park? Or are these riders busy in Poland on Sundays? Edit: Some riders such as Tim Sorensen and Jonas Jeppsen are also impressive coming through the youth ranks in Denmark... Maybe we should carry on our tradition Edit Edit: Anton Karlsson and Mathias Thornblom (Formerly of Berwick) are doing well in Sweden... Both averaging better than the likes of Tero Aarnio, David Bellego and Martin Smolinski
  20. Hope it's not all a big let down... We need a party to liven things up
