Any clues on this big new rider if it ain't Troy then??? The suspense... Nationality at least? Or would that give it away... I was thinking Linus Sundstrom, because he was well connected to Len in the Rye House days, dunno if he still is? But Kent is a Tuesday track So probably not...
-
Does that mean we're getting in a new rider? And you know who it is? OR are you just saying nope about wanting Lasse? I think a team change is more desperately needed now than ever before, to spark some kind of interest again...
-
I'll be VERY happy with we DON'T end up with Lasse, yes... What's happening with Josh Auty??? Hardly inspiring but at least he's a solid enough rider and may take the pressure off Clegg and Mountain if he becomes the 3rd heatleader... Still dreaming about Rene or Ludvig's return Then I'll be VERY happy

No one's happy on here

I wouldn't say the track was crap, just different. Which DOES catch riders out when they're used to the same thing every week. Redcar adapted quicker and were the stronger team both on paper and shale, well done to them. The track was NOT crap, it's the best I've seen it racing wise for years. But if its gonna be different, the riders need different setups... the lads will have a full week now to figure them out.

Yes I did think that during the meeting. No one was expecting him back for a lot longer than this. But he fell off in his parade lap, broke down on a bike that sounded much like a lawnmower in his first heat after it cutting out on him before the tapes went up too, couldn't keep his front wheel down in his next 2 rides but looked brilliant to get a 5-1 with Ben in his last... More of his 4th ride and he'd be brilliant. I really do like Adam, but we all know how much he hates Brough too. His meeting against (Leicester??) Where he got 10 points from 4 rides... Shows he can do it

Track was very different to usual, it actually looked really good to me, maybe the riders weren't happy as it just caught them out a little bit, they didn't even do a track walk at the start? Is there ANY atmosphere in the pits whatsoever? I wouldn't be surprised if not with the manager merry-go-round and the lack of any real big hitters. Shame as the first few home meetings (Leicester and Scunthorpe in particular) were brilliant and the lads put up such a big fight, where tonight they seemed to struggle more with keeping their front wheels down on a much grippier than usual track. I liked the new track, this track curator is clearly one of the best about, the riders just need to get used to it now... Adam Roynon's hatred for Brough Park clearly isn't disappearing anytime soon either... I know he seemed to have major bike issues with his first bike, but he still seemed to struggle just to keep two wheels on the ground the rest of the meeting. Really hope Max Clegg can come back to the Max of 2019 too, massive shame seeing him struggle like that

Ah finally... a newcastle thread I can be arsed to reply to Will the crowd numbers still be restricted? And can we stand where we want?

Nike Lunna? Was gutted when he dumped the Diamonds on the eve of the season, was so excited to see him ride

Cheers... I'll have a scan around on Facebook. I know all the big names. Timo Lahti, Tero Aarnio, Jesse Mustonen, Teemu Lahti although he retired in 2020 if I'm not mistaken. And there's young riders like Roni Niemela who I know is 16/17? And there's the Vuolas brothers, not sure on their ages? And Timi Salonen is still an under 21 rider for this year too? Niklas Sayrio is aged 22 now as far as I can find out. But this is all the info I can find on any Finnish riders, other than a few names who rode in the Finnish final in 2019, but can't find any other info on them? Max Koivula is a name I've seen a few times but don't know anything about him? Is he an older or younger rider? Same goes for Henri Ahlbom... All info would be greatly appreciated and interesting to know Just when you've got some time thanks

Just wish there was more information out there... It's pretty impossible to find

Being from Finland myself, although living in the uk most my life, I would love to know more about my home nations speedway, particularly its riders. I am aware of the SM-Liiga's existence and know the results of the first round. But I know next to nothing about most the riders who are in that competition this year. Is there anywhere where I can access information on these riders? I mainly just wanna know who's an u-21 rider and who's an u-19 rider for the 2021 season and who the biggest hopes for Finland are in the future. I know there's a few Finns on this forum, who hopefully can shed some light for me. The only real talent that I can think of other than the obvious riders like Antti Vuolas and Timi Salonen is the 17 year old (18 now?) Roni Niemela, who scored 12 points from 6 rides against much older riders in the first round of SM-Liiga... Results below https://www.speedwaynews.pl/aktualnosci/item/73836-niezwykle-wyrownana-inauguracja-sm-liiga-gospodarze-triumfuja-jednym-punktem Thanks

Nico Covatti seems to be doing well in Europe this year and was in the original line up... I'd LOVE to see him back in British speedway, such an entertaining rider, wonder what the chances are? Kent are in need of a serious facelift... Just like my team. Kent Kings Avg. 1 Scott Nicholls © 8.34 2 Ryan Kinsley 3.09 3 Paul Starke 5.93 4 Cameron Heeps 7.23 5 Nico Covatti 7.82 6 Dan Gilkes 2.00 7 Jake Mulford 1* 34.41 4.59 Or tbh if Josh Bates can be tempted, I'd sign him up... I know he's injured a lot and not the most reliable, but R/R for him, where Paul Starke, Cameron Heeps and the two reserves can take a ride, is a better option at number 2 than Paul Hurry Kent Kings Avg. 1 Scott Nicholls © 8.34 2 Josh Bates 6.05 3 Paul Starke 5.93 4 Cameron Heeps 7.23 5 Nico Covatti 7.82 6 Ryan Kinsley 3.09 7 Dan Gilkes 1* 38.46 0.54 I'm aware neither of these teams are really possible, but it's still interesting to see what COULD happen in an ideal world for Kent. I do hope yous can find something to do as Kent is a club I respect greatly.

I'm guessing they believe that Alfie would average more than Luke (not sure tbh). The rising star's average doesn't count towards team building average where the 1-6 does... So if Alfie's average is higher than Luke's then they'll have less to build with later in the season if they decide to make another change and Alfie was in the 1-6 with a higher average than Luke, who would have a smaller average and therefore more points to play with... If that explanation makes any sense Could backfire if Luke scores more than Alfie...

Love Lasse and Kenneth, but Lasse was not interested at all in 2019 when he rode for us, plus he said he'll only come over if he can double up and I seriously doubt any PL team are gonna sign him, he's not at that level (apart from the off day when he can be world champion) I'm still surprised they haven't announced Josh Auty and a 5.67 type signing... Or just a straight Ellis Perks swap if he is back I'd love to see a big name such as Luke Becker though, make the league even more interesting, but I don't see it, he's too good

If he's interested that is...

Scorpions v Monarchs 27.6.21

Awarded by the owner of the club and supreme overlord of the SCB himself you mean? -
1 Ryan Douglas 8.59 2 Zach Wajtknecht 5.27 3 Kyle Howarth 6.99 4 Josh Auty 7.34 5 Nick Morris 8.41 6 Dan Thompson 2.00 7 Joe Thompson 1* Does Zach Wajtknecht still do speedway? Or is he focussing on Longtrack... This could be an interesting team to watch and Josh Auty is the obvious signing... Only other options I can think of is tempting Victor Palovaara, Claus Vissing or Nico Covatti back to the country? Which I'm not sure is possible in the current situation Ellis Perks was back on a bike not long ago, has he got his equipment sorted/ready to go again? Straight swap Ty Proctor for Ellis Perks maybe? Would fit nicely 1 Ryan Douglas 8.59 2 Ellis Perks 6.40 3 Kyle Howarth 6.99 4 Josh Bates 6.05 5 Nick Morris 8.41 6 Dan Thompson 2.00 7 Joe Thompson 1* 38.44 0.56 I know everyone is going to tell me why these changes can't happen, just having a bit of fun speculating...

Was a while ago that though... let's see how well he returns to the sport... hopes it's a success Didn't think he rode anymore like... can I ask was there a reason you never liked him? Was it against him personally or was he just overrated? Genuinely dont know very much about him, what type of person/rider he was

Didn't miss much by the sounds of it -
Does Luke Chessell still rider like? I'm surprised he wasn't our new rising star then!! With the Stoke connections
