  1. I'm assuming 3.00-4.00 = tier 4 2.00-2.99 = tier 3 Below 2.00/New assesed 2.00ers = tier 2 We're obsessed with tiers this year and last Although that would make the likes of Leon Flint tier 4 and unavailable for this league as a 'rising star' Typical, more confusion caused!!
  2. Who would you suggest are the non runners? Let's narrow it down!! Is he making a comeback then? Liked Liam back in the day
  3. Everyone and their dog has it unfortunately Best wishes to Stewart, speedy recovery
  4. James Sarjeant was a popular guest a few seasons back for the Diamonds, maybe he'll want to double down if he don't get a PL spot
  5. What's wrong with a team like this... And that's assuming that the points limit doesn't drop, which it no doubt will 1 Max Clegg 10.14 2 Joe Alcock 3.00 3 Josh Embleton 4.83 4 Jamie Halder 4.63 5 10.40? 6 Archie Freeman 3.00 7 Danny Smith 3.00 Total: 39.00? And if Max doesn't want to ride NL because Wolves snap him up or something, then there's the likes of Alfie Bowtell who will be looking for a team now with Plymouth no doubt in the Championship. Leon Flint was lined up to ride for the Gems last season. And then there's other local riders mentioned such as Jack Flynn Dean Douglas Elliot Kelly Luke Ruddick Connor Coles Shelby Rutherford Kieran Douglas Some ex Stoke riders there too... It's not IMPOSSIBLE to make an NL team, but is it financially viable
  6. Isn't it more about experience for the young lads rather than winning in the nl? Some of the lesser riders should be given a chance
  7. Don't wanna be seen slagging off the new promotion, as they've done an amazing job since they took over. But giving Josh some credibility would be nice considering how much work he's put in both on and off the track. Wonder if a Gems team will be fielded next season? If the NL even exists by then
  8. Well that team you've quoted would come to over 45.5 points in the Championship... Much more than the current limit, and considering King's Lynn look like one of the weaker teams in the Premiership, it's hardly a fair comparison... Any of the Premiership teams would demolish any of the Championship teams, even Eastbourne or Leicester who look to be the strongest. It's a bit unfair to say the leagues are the same standard, because they clearly are not. I do understand what you're saying though, all the big names (Zagar, Fricke, Lambert, Lindgren, Woffinden) have all gone and it's a real shame. But as long as the riders in the race are all of similar standard, it should be an entertaining meeting either way, doesn't matter how big the name of the rider is, that would just cause more financial issues. I like the ideas that the British speedway is doing, but they're not going about it very well... A massive lack of information for fans and so far, no news on a new race format which stops the likes of Jordan Palin being in the same race as Craig Cook or Nicolai Klindt.
  9. Plus it's approximately 1775 years before his birth
  10. Clearly the new owners and particularly manager prefer Joe because they've nurtured him back at Stoke... Can they not have a shared role? If logistics is hard for Josh, he can do most home and Joe away?
  11. Now we just need to find out what makes someone a 1 star, 2 star, 3 star or 4 star... youd think they'd bring all this information out with the press release for the new rule...
  12. Luke ruddick to edinburgh perhaps? Instead of james... had a good 2019 nl season... and surely he counts as a 'rising star'
  13. Eastbourne and Leicester look the teams to beat imo... Assuming Leicester's last signing is a decent one
  14. How about... Assuming it's Nick Morris who Wolverhampton drop, which seems most likely... 1. Brady Kurtz 7.54 2. Steve Worrall (c) 5.53 3. Charles Wright 6.51 4. Nick Morris 5.38 5. Dan Bewley 6.15 6. Jye Etheridge 4.35 7. Jordan Palin FTR (Or someone more experienced? Flint? Bickley?) Total: 35.46 (All Brits have gotten 2.5% reduction, I assume all Brits qualify for one?)
  15. Much rumours coming from Sheffield other than the probable departure of Nicki And definite departure of Todd... Replacements?
  16. PLEASE sign max clegg... if hes eligible... so much deserves it and he came on leaps and bounds in 2019... isn't he a club asset? Or is that edinburgh
  17. Yes I'm assuming the poster I am quoting who mentions Lambert means Simon... rob not racing in uk... another tai
  18. Leaving 9.92 for the 6th rider... Can't see King's Lynn attracting anyone with that average because they'll all be in Poland
  19. Does Dan Bewley qualify as an u-21 number 7 category 4? Sounds confusing... Or will Jordan Palin be thrown in the deep end
  20. Nathan Stoneman is available as the number 7 as Somerset aren't racing, would be very strong judging by what everyone else is rumoured to have down there And if Adam Ellis is not available, you'd have 10.77 to replace him... Can one of their Aussies from the Elite days fit in there? Or maybe a double change, with either Zane, Josh or Stefan losing their place... Poole won't field a team 2.97 under the limit...
  21. 1. Nick morris 2. Danyon hume 3. Kyle howarth 4. Ty Proctor 5. Ryan douglas 6. Dan thompson 7. Joe Thompson 38 point limit with a u21 brit at number 7... would be my prediction based on rumour how the teams will be set up and how much room there is left (for danyon)
  22. Does anyone know the situation with foreign citizens who have previously been employed in the uk for many years, but haven't been the last 4 or 5, the Bjarne Pedersen type situation (I know he's retired, but ya know what I mean) Could go for a big hitter number 1 to bring back the crowds... Can they still be available to work in this country? And how many previous years is enough for them to be available to work? Gutted about Ondrej and Nick, was really looking forward to watching them, especially the latter... Good luck to them in the future
