  1. I had this discussion on the weekend. The new wembley is going to be football only, it is being built for the sole purpose of football. So all British GPs will still be at Cardiff, which i think is great.
  2. I agree with Bill Leahy, we stayed at Trecco Bay this year. There was 7 of us there and it cost us £20 each. It was good, caravan was nice, right on the beach, it was a good laugh. We got the bus to cardiff, to save parking and all of that. It took an hour or so, but for £3 return you can't really grumble. Only downside was, the caravan park told us the last bus back was at 11ish. We thought that was good, because it gave us plenty of time to get out and get the bus. Only trouble was the bus stopped in Newport. So we had to get a taxi the rest of the way, that only cost £15. We're doing it again this year, but this time there will be 12 of us.
  3. We was sat in the second tier, on the 4th bend, 4 rows up. It was a fantastic view, apart from if it was a close finish, we had trouble trying to see who came first. Great atmosphere around us, but mainly because there were 21 of us in 3 rows, and we had Leigh Lanham, the king brothers and co in the hospitality box behind us. Can't wait for next year.
  4. I hadn't been to a GP for 3 years, so I was very excited about this one. I went with my mum, dad and 3 friends. We left at 4pm on Friday, and drove to Porthcawl, where we had a caravan at Trecco Bay, right on the beach, which was great. After having a huge breakfast saturday morning, we left for Cardiff. Got the local bus which took an hour and a half, which wasn't too bad. Went for a walk around Cardiff for a while, then went to Sams to meet some others we were going with, (there were 21 of us at the caravan park, plus a few Poole fans), had a few drinks there, then moved on to get something to eat. Found Mark Loram standing outside 'Ask' having a drink, wished him luck, to then watch Dean Barker come flying round the corner, jump on to Mark and give him the biggest hug. We are Arena fans, so that made my day, team spirit eh. After dinner, walked to the stadium, got to our seats, 4th bend, 2nd tier, fourth row up. Great seats, but it did make it hard to see who got over the finish line first when it was a close one. We had Leigh Lanham, Jason and Daniel King and their army in the box behind us. It was great to see Leighs reaction when Mark won a heat. Fantastic, again great team spirit from Arena. The day was fantastic, great meeting, great atmosphere, and our guys done us proud. Unfortunately didn't stay for the fireworks, we had to catch the last bus back to Porthcawl. Got back in at 12:30. Left the next day at 1:30 after a walk in the sun on the beach. I would definately recommend anybody to stay where we stayed. Saves the long journey in one day, and is so much cheaper than a hotel, cost us £25 each, and if your lucky enough with the weather, you can spend some time on a nice beach. Great Weekend. One thing we did notice, was that everyone seemed to be laughing at us. They take one look at the Arena shirts and either just smiled or laughed.
