  1. I'm sure he is ambitious,he should be..He clearly wanted away, thats fine. But it seems he's is hinting that Buster might of stalled on team building or not let him talk to other teams until it was to late or the interested teams filled the place..I'm sure if he was allowed to talk to other teams he wouldn't of mentioned he might have to use old bikes and that he hopes they don't breakdown when doing a deal..At best he needs a PR person,at worst,he's having a dig and his heart isn't in it.If I was Buster I wouldn't be pleased..A well maintained 2017 motor will be as reliable as a well maintained 2018 motor.. I might be in the minority ,but think Lambo's 2018 season at Lynn might not go to smoothly..I hope i'm wrong. My glass might be half empty. We shall see.
  2. Don't read to good to me.Seems like he wanted out but Buster wouldn't have it.I would of let him go. Can you imagine him saying to a new club while cutting a deal, that he could be on old bikes and hope they don't break down.....
  3. Hans would of been ideal.Great reliable team man.
  4. TBH I didn't notice.Well we can't all be in the top division
  5. Think how Pooles team is going i think if they have Shanes they could of fitted Hans in.Mistake imho
  6. I think Saj will be good for you, with the new starting regs.
  7. He should add to his average if he's happy. Hope Buster has it grippy when the Poole are in town, and have the Lynn boys practicing before the meeting Personally I would of had Shanes and Hans as the other 2,if they fitted. Not a but looking team at the mo.I think Josh will be under scrutiny on his ave.
  8. Good to see the Lions with a strong looking team for 2018..Hope you join Lynn in the play offs
  9. Surely it would of dropped to around 6 by now
  10. I would have thought so.It's not as though Holder can't afford a flight.Would of been nice for the Aussie fans to see him.
  11. They have old averages. And Woryna's old 4.something ave seems a bit of a joke considering how he is riding and who he's beating now. Spanners ave is about 4 years old? and he seems to have improved and they have put his ave down I think ! I'm not getting at Poole if these riders could have signed for any team on those ave's,Im guessing Lebedevs could be had on his old 4.something average too.Bargain of the season?
  12. I might be in the minority, and as exciting as Nicki is to watch, coming back from a bad injury on a 9 point average? I wouldn't have him.Would be ok on a 7 though
  13. I think your right.Several weeks agoLewis made a fundraising page hoping to raise £9k for a new bike etc for the 2018 season. He stated then that he had been offered a team place at Lynn for 2018.The page promptly disappeared though.
  14. Good work.My guess would be in in his office or VIP box/lounge or whatever they call them.
  15. Good luck to whoever signs him. After all he needs to be here for his son.
  16. Happy new year to all Lynn and speedway fans in general.
  17. I've been to a fair few banger meetings at Lynn. The crowd varies a lot.A run of the mill meeting in cold weather may attract 1000-1500.A bigger event like a world final and the place is packed 4,000 or so.Theres a lot of " Finals" and "championship" meetings in bangers that see a good 2-3000 attend in good weather.. As far as I know the race/meeting winners get a trophy and pay to race.A mate of mine used to race bangers. They put a lot of time and effort and some spend a bit of money as well to prepare a banger. My mate would pay about £100-£200 for the car.Spend a whole weekend getting it ready to race inc altering the suspension, welding the car up to make it tough at the front(illegal i think). He used to race a lot of Honda's.So he had a lightened flywheel, changed cams etc,all illegal, just to get a win. The car might last 1 meeting.Meeting last from 4-6 hours. Not been for a few years,if I remember entry was between 10 and 15 quid.Compared to speedway, these a lot of action for your money. Check it out. http://www.stockcar-racing.co.uk/
  18. Probably because the modern engines rev so high, with peak power high up in the rev range. When these modern bikes hit a bit of of extra grip,it kills off the revs a bit and the bike grips hard and takes off. So in general the tracks have less shale than they use to to make these modern bikes easier to control, less grip in general = slower times,up to a point. However as we saw in the Lynn v Poole meeting on "that" night if a rider attacks a grippy track, the race times are faster than on a slick track.. A lot of riders want a smooth consistant ride over a 'tighten their bum cheek ride' on a really grippy track these days.
  19. I'd have Sarj in my team on a 2.6.Would be the best No.7 in the league.Agree I think he will double that with the new rules.
  20. Was once just a speedway stadium only.If my grey matter serves me correct.
  21. The same was said about KK,but not by you. Holder has done Poole proud in the past, but after injuries and Ward and his attitude to British speedway,i don't think you can go by the past that much.
  22. He will be ok i think.Pretty sure he will be proud to where the countries race jacket.
