  1. My reply was just to this meeting, and the bet.
  2. I'm with you on that one as well . I keep telling myself, it's early days yet
  3. They will need to do better than last seasons BB 6 from 5, and Vadim 4 (4). But you never know.
  4. Would be a great start if we could get something tonight. I do think you prediction is about right though. Enjoy your evening
  5. It has been said that Buster bought them to save the Prem, and the TV deal. Rathbone was going to continue in the Champ if no buyer came forward i believe. There are a some Panthers fans that are starting to give MT a bit of stick on here lately, and rightly so imho.. I think some still don't, hoping he might come good one day, and don't want to pee him off. As you mentioned Johnson" buggering of " , i wonder what the Panthers fans would of thought of him, if his actions would of caused Chapman to shut up shop mid season. Maybe a cynic might think he did it thinking that it would put Buster in trouble, and help his mate MT get the club cheap/free, who knows?
  6. No fool would promise what he did to the fans before engaging his brain first either , I’m afraid.
  7. It's a tough one... Anything can happen this early in the season. I wonder how the track is, after all the rain? Edit.. Just seen the track on another tread, looks ok. Lets hope the weather plays ball
  8. KING’S Lynn supporters will be able to get their first taste of 2024 track action when press and practice takes place on Tuesday March 19.The Stars are building up to the new Sports Insure Premiership season and fans can watch the practice session at the Adrian Flux Arena from 6pm.Earlier in the day riders, management and sponsors will be fulfilling various media commitments along with team activities. The stadium will be open to the public from 6pm with admission free, and collection buckets will be present for Ben Fund donations. The on-track session is expected to last around two hours and will be followed by a Meet The Riders event in the bar.Season ticket holders will be able to collect their tickets on the night. If you are unable to attend, these will also be available for collection at our opening home meeting on Thursday March 28, or by arrangement.
  9. Agree. People knew about the PB situation before the season started, thats why we got the new stadium talk/ waffle from you know who.. As the PB fans know, Lynn finished bottom the year PB won the title. Buster brought riders in after CJ left him in the poo, and those riders helped PB to win a good few meetings nearer the end of last season, which dumped He's beloved Lynn bottom yet again. I would like to think that real speedway fans would realise that Lynn might well of suffered after Buster took over at PB.. And that it's just Buster that they are pissed off with, and not the fans.. With regard's the riders, I suspect that several teams were talking to their/ Busters riders before the season had finished. No surprise that Buster was too, as you say.. He bought them over No one knows if Buster has taken that "brown envelope" that some have wrongly spoke of. We will find out in the end, no doubt..And he will get deserved flack from all angles, if he has. I hope that TM eventually puts his money were his mouth is, and helps the Panthers build a new track elsewhere. But i'm not holding my breath..
  10. Sometimes an over enthusiastic presenter looks a bit silly at Lynn. Trying to get the crowd going at Lynn don't always work imho.
  11. I'm the same Daniel. I've been getting it since NP did half a lap.. MT did indeed promise the world, and got the fans buzzing. i believe "i'm a winner" and "the new Man city of speedway" was mentioned. Oh dear!! . Then we had his right hand man at the time CJ having a go at the fans for only just paying to get in, or something similar. Then he bailed out and left Buster in the brown stuff. Oh and in a statement he said they were looking at land, and that they had " some waiting".. We have had Mick Bratley on this forum standing up for Buster twice. Once stating that if Buster didn't remove the fence and lights, they would get someone in and bill Buster. Some still moaned, and Mick said" Believe me, Buster ain't the bad guy here".. So for me, until someone can prove Buster has took a brown envelope, my opinion will not change. I know he's far from perfect, and no doubt it will come out in the end. I have no doubt the consortium are doing their best. And wish them the very best. MT was listed as a part of that btw. Don't know if that's still the case. My likes are not working. But i agree with the brown envelope thing. To premature and wrong to even suggest such things... It will come out in the end i'm sure. I've been very quiet on this for a while now, but reading this has started my engine again
  12. Thanks Baggy. I was hoping it was just a rumour Wow, they're giving the seats away, what kind people they are, with such a big hearts
  13. Can't like it, so RIP to Brian. Agree, we had some top riders around that time, and came very close.
  14. A great servant to British speedway over the years. All the best to Hans.
  15. I made it 1.6 with the 2 latest additions increased averages But would of been over 4 if they hadn't " re assessed" their averages, which would of looked silly. Mean while i think Magics went down.
  16. Might end up doing a 180 and wont be able to finish, could be more to the point.
  17. To be fair, wont every rider if they ride long enough. I admit in Greg's case it might of been 55 though I expect NKI to keep, or get close to his 6.64 average next season myself. Would i have him again in 2025, that would be no....What we can't do is drop a non performing rider, or replace an injured rider for someone no better, when we have points to spare, if we really are going for a play off place.
  18. I doubt if both MPT and Paddy W will both average more than NKI myself. He is getting on a bit now though.
  19. Nothing. Just fed up with the Brummies' thread being the only one commented on.. Who will end up at No.6 by the end of the season, MPT or Paddy W?
  20. All i can say is i was told AL had signed for all the meetings under Alex, but as we know shortly afterwards Alex departed. I suspect Buster re negotiated the deal, as he said himself that money was a problem after he took over from Alex.
