  1. Whilst we welcome Nick to the team, we have our top two riders injured. I'm pretty sure Cookie will ride, but will find the going tough, with Lynn being so grippy, if as he says he couldn't hold on in the SON over the last few days. Hope Robert isn't to bad. I haven't heard anything. Could make this a tricky meeting for the Stars, who need all the points they can get. With only Poole not riding, finding a guest, if we need one is limited.
  2. Not a good sign for Thursday. With Lynn being so grippy. Hope Lambo's not to bad either
  3. As far as I know, the set up involves, ignition timing, jetting, sprocket sizes, bike length( pulling the rear wheel back or sliding it forward) often a combination of these. I don't know how he can be working on these all night, as you don't know if your going the right way until you try it on track. Maybe theres more to it than that?
  4. I don't think Noggin will be far out. Just to be different, i'll go 50-40
  5. You were honoured. I bumped into him today, in Screw Fix.. Couldn't get a word out of him
  6. To be fair, it's one of those things that can happen in speedway. Riders get injured. Kurtz has a 2019 average of 8.00 from 8 meetings. 5 away for an average of 7.33 3 at home for an average of 9.23
  7. Lets be honest. If Poole went to Cradley( no disrespect), you would say your up against it.... I know" Top of the league Baby"
  8. You had Brady missing at Ippo, and won.. You had Newman, who scored 0. Barker can't do worse... You had Doolan, who did his job, scoring 5 from 5 rides. But you have Covatti back tonight. Better than Doolan at Poole. You don't look any weaker than you did at Ippo to me. My bet is Poole win -4 tonight... Now watch it bomb out
  9. They got 10 points from 4 rides at Ippo for Brady, and I expect around the same tonight. I'll go 50-40 to the Pirates... Wider if Barker has to pull out of the meeting for some reason, and Poole have to use IRR.
  10. His champ ave is 6.73. Converts to around 4.50 if his Champ average is divided by 1.5, which I think is correct.
  11. Buster is the ** if you want to break track records, but it's not the best for close racing. Some riders love it, but there's more who struggle with it. It can't be the shale, because it was Skidder or FB I think that said it was the best meeting they had seen in years when Poole was in town. And from what I have read, there have been a few of them this season. A bit of dirt is a good thing, but if it's got a lot of clay content and soaked, it becomes super grippy, and it makes most riders cautious because there not used to it and the way the bike reacts.... Peterborough proves this. They have had a few great meetings, with the same shale as they have had crap ones. A bit less top surface, and a bit less water …. Maybe?
  12. I didn't think any speedway supporter would want that.
  13. Sounds like he is going to be well prepared
  14. I does indeed.. We haven't heard SS thoughts yet, but Wells is a good signing for you. Leaving you looking very strong at reserve. RR should cover for Kurtz, no problem ( his RR rides at Ippo yielded 10 from 4) and I expect the same at home tomorrow. As long as your riders keep fit, with Brady back you would have a great chance of retaining the title for me.
  15. Doyle can go Friday. Bomber cant. NBJ rides Monday, can't ride Thursday, but down to ride Weds..
  16. Top notch in white chocolate. A must try.
  17. I've always thought nuts should always be kept in their shell. Otherwise it could lead to some nutter crackers coming out..
  18. Don't know where that came from. Wells will have a club next week, but where?
