  1. I would worry that Bach couldn't back Robert up in 13 and 15 like Cookie would. But having said that, both reserves should score very well. With a bit of improvement from TJ and Erik on their travels, Robert getting some of his 2018 form back, and if Bech could average 7, all of which could happen, that team could do ok. Deffo would shake it up a bit..
  2. Josh was a guest for Porsing when Poole came to town in Sept. He didn't score, but considering it was most likely his first time there, he rode ok and wasn't off the pace.
  3. I would imagine that most Panthers fans would be happy with that team. Would always be strong at reserve, even if they swap around during the season ,and with a number1.
  4. Not so sure Dan tbh. NKI was great in 13 and 15 when the track was slicker, but I think at this stage of his career he is a 7.5-8.0 Prem rider. Not saying I wouldn't like him back, but I think Cookie will average as much. I'd have either. I hope he does ride in the UK, but he will be a busy man if he does.
  5. I think Lambo dropped about the same as well. Who is this big surprise, or was it Ty Cook and Erik not declared elsewhere so its them and another I guess.. Huckenbeck ?
  6. Although 2018 was a great season, Robert was flying, home and away. I think it was largely down to Lambo, NKI and Ty.These are very impressive stats from Robert. Robert at home 70rides. 1st, 50 2nd,14 3rd 5 and 4th 1..... Away 75rides. 1st 31, 2nd, 23 3rd 16 4th 4 NKI didn't set the world on fire, but he was very solid away from home, and the Lambo/NKI heat 13 and 15 combo were great. NKI seemed to leave his best rides for later in meetings. Home 41 rides. 1st 15, 2nd, 8 3rd, 11 4th 3 Away 53 rides. 1st 19, 2nd,16 3rd, 12 4th 3 Add to that Ty was flying that year, with a home average of 7.27 and away 5.80. Not doing all the stats, and although all the team got stuck in, and all played a part, I think the above 3 riders added considerably to Lynn's success that year. A slight worry is that Ty and Lewis might swap places over the season, and both could struggle in the 1-5. Depends on the other riders I guess. But who is the surprise signing then ? Lambo and Ty should put a point on their averages, and TJ, Erik and Lewis need to put at least a point on their away average this season.
  7. It was worrying seeing Ty being past down the back straight so many times last season.. I kind of see he looks like a bargain on his average. I think he may well swap with Kerr a few times over the season.
  8. Same engine room Riss, TJ, Kerr home 21.68 Away 13.18
  9. Don't matter if it worked or not. Irrelevant, it's the intent as you know Skidder, if it did happen
  10. I wouldn't have him, even if he came with a Visa reduction average of 6
  11. Not a bad team that. Solid looking team, with a number 1 and good reserves.
  12. Could be £3k plus flights, van etc. Take off the VAT and you would need at least 400 fans paying full price just to make the £3k. They ride away too, and need paying... Good luck with that one .
  13. Team all signed. All will be revealed by the end of Jan. So does anyone know who the big surprise might be? So we are not the cheapest team in the league, but not the dearest, and on a tight budget... If Cookie is back I can't see the big surprise being that big
  14. Agree with that. Add TJ with his 3.78 away average and it's looking like the same old already. We will suffer away in the engine room dept again by the look of it so far. TJ said himself this week it's easy to set the bike up at the AFA, and he knows he has to do better away, but this will be his 4th season and things ain't improving away from home. I know I keep banging on about it, but if I can see it.... Buster can't have no ambition to win anything...again At home 16 HT wins and 12 second places. Away 2 HT wins and 7 second places. He's a nice bloke, but nice don't win you the league sometimes...
  15. The 43.97 does flatter the Stars unfortunately. The top 6 riders averaged only 33 away from home. Lynn's engine room were really poor and, and Buster signs 2 of the worst culprits Home Lewis and TJ 14.11 Away 7.78 .. (TJ 7.71 home and 3.78 away. Lewis 6.40 Home and 4.00 away. Some of that at reserve). Wish them well, but it doesn't scream ambition to me. Oh well on the the next one
  16. I see Ander's Dad knows his stuff having been on the spanners for Zagar and others. He has 6 good Ashtech motors as well, and they don't come cheap. He must have some good backing and equipment. That's a big help this day and age., but of course as we all know, he has to ride the bikes, and he is inexperienced. With his Dad spannering for him, he will be able to keep a close eye on him, and no doubt advising him. It's probably is a season early, but as long as he has a sensible head on his shoulders and a good team around him, who are honest with him and won't let him go on to long like Jack Smith did, if he does find it to hard, I don't think it will do him any harm to give it a go as long as he realises he is very young and if he isn't enjoying it, take a step back from the PL, it's not the end of the world, gain a bit more experience and try again in a season or two. Wish the young man all the best for 2020 season and beyond. Will be keeping an eye out to see how he's doing.
  17. I think PK is a good second string at best, a 7 ish average. Killer has a bad year as far as I can see by reading posts. If offered reasonable money, might give it a go. Do you mean Greg as in Hancock?. I would be surprised with his wifes health and the fact hes 50 and must be a millionaire?. Riding in the wet and cold on indifferent tracks, and traveling.
  18. I doubt that team will pick up many points on the road. TJ and Lewis had the biggest differences in their home and away averages last season. Unless …
  19. Seen that, and Lewis the first declared. Hope i'm wrong..
  20. Buster owns the place. Must make thinks a lot easier and cheaper. Plus the stadium gets used for other things.
  21. "We will try and go one better next season" that's what gets me. That's what was said after topping the league and only loosing in the play off through late injuries to NKI and MPT. We also had the best away record in the league in 2018 as well. What we got was 2nd from bottom and probably the worst away record in the league. After 50 odd years of trying to win the top flight, it was great to see the Stars do so well. I know it's early doors yet and on 5.43 Lewis could well be in the 1-5. Erik, TJ, Lewis, and MPT averaged 18.44 between the 4 of them away from the AFA in 2019, and 29.12 at home. Lets hope Buster's calculator is working as it should. Still looking forward to the next reveal, hoping for some changes that will improve things on the road
  22. Your right about TJ. Nice bloke, and good to watch around the AFA, but needs pastures new. I know you not really interested, but if you take a look at these stats, I think you will be surprised, and see where some of us Stars fans are coming from.. Home 7.71 Away 3.78 1st 16 1st 2 2nd 12 2nd 7 3rd 9 3rd 14 4th 3 4th 11 Home and away is like night and day At the end of last season the team manager said something on the lines of " it's no good having riders that can score a maximum at home and hardly anything away". We shall see.
