  1. Three of my friends whom I have known for over 40 years and have never had a season ticket have now decided to have a season ticket for the first time. Why ? Because there are 30 meetings over the whole season and it is going back to what used to happen in terms of the number of meetings at your home track... Around 25 meetings a season.
  2. The new stadium needs to maximise the number of meetings in the season. With thought , open meetings can create an interest,..... a simple challenge match probably won't.
  3. Result from Krakow yesterday ... a good second at the meeting for Craig 1. Krzysztof Buczkowski - 2, 0, 2, 2, 1 = 7 2. Damian Balinski - 3, 1, R, 1, 1 = 6 3. Patryk Dudek - 1, 3, 2, 3, 2 = 11 WINNER 4. Tobiasz Musielak - 0, 3, 1, 2, F = 6 5. Piotr Swiderski - 1, 2, 1, 0, 1 = 5 6. Marcin Jedrzejewski - 0, 0, 1, 3 = 4 7. Ernest Koza - 2, 1, 2, 0, 0 = 5 8. Daniel Kaczmarek - 3, 0, 1, 2, 3 = 9 THIRD 9. Craig Cook - 0, 1, 3, 3, 3 = 10 SECOND 10. Jakub Jamrog - 3, 2, 0, 1, 2 = 8 11. Marcin Rempala - 1, 2, 3, 0, 3 = 9 12. Krystian Pieszczek - 2, 2, 2, 3, 1 = 10 13. Andriej Karpov - 0, 3, 3, 3, 0 = 9 14. Andzejs Lebdevs - 2, 3, 0, 1, 2 = 8 15. Sebastian Ulamek - 3, 0, 3, 0, 0 = 6 16. Scott Nicholls - 1, 1, 1, 2, 2 = 7 17. Marcin Nowinski - 0 = 0
  4. With many promoters in the PL stating that there economic problems then perhaps it is time to reduce the points limit and have less costly teams It worked this year in the NL..
  5. You cannot expect riders to forgo a meeting because of an important meeting later on in the week. Most riders will say the more I ride the better !!!!
  6. Congrats to Glasgow.....right down to the last heat.... time to reserve your tickets for the final !
  7. Perhaps this is the year where he moves to EL and Polish league only. Sincerely hope he stays at Belle Vue
  8. With a close 1st leg , then this tie now reverts to which team is going to " do the business " today
  9. If you are comparing back 10 or more years then , crowds are definitely down..... but this is true in many sports other than top level sport.. Poland's crowds are nowhere near what they used to be.... but theyare stil considerably better than in Britain. What is important is how do we get the crowds back ?
  10. Whilst there are promoters who are prepared to spend BIG monies to get a winning team then the riders will always squeeze as much as they can out of the promoters. Russell at Swindon in the local paper has said money is no obstacle for the 2016 team... amongst others no doubt
  11. I have no doubt there will be tinkering with the draft rider system again..... Garrity forced in to the top 5 if that is one of the changes will weaken Coventry
  12. - doesn't enjoy riding against Nikki Pedersen Does anyone ????????
  13. If Britain is going to get back to the top then it needs to breed a batch of young talented riders who will go on to be world class. At present , we allow young European riders to get valuable experience in the PL and EL which allows them to develop in to world class riders. It is time to reverse this and give our lads a better chance. I agree Britain has had a thin time of it lately.... but is time to change this.
  14. Good luck to Swindon getting their track ready for 2016. I believe it is to be a much smaller track than the present one ... as long as it has wide bends with banking plus banking on the straights , it should be good for quality racing.
  15. No matter who is riding , there will be a big crowd as it the last ever match at the present track. More importantly , let us hope that they do get the new track ready for next year... it looks like a late start in 2016 for home matches...
  16. Nice to hear a promoter sayimg he is open to suggestions and willing to listen to supporters........ his paying pubic
  17. That is due to your worst season for 29 years probably !!!! Crowds at Wolves were alright last year when I went
  18. Let us hope that this year they make changes for the good of the Sport and not to just benefit a few promoters looking after themselves, Hope springs eternal
  19. Pleased to see Berwick competing in 2016. Good luck in your team build.
  20. The first leg will be the deciding factor re this play off.......Glasgow have a point to prove if they wish to be in the final against Edinburgh. However it could still be Edinburgh v Somerset in the Final
  21. The promotion have stated in the recent past that they are glad to be out of the EL. Cannot see them moving up at all..
  22. Problem is he hasn't been at his best.. A successful team needs a good blend of experience and young riders who are on the way up in the Speedway world and are eager to improve.
