When I went to Cardiff it was £ 10 to park your car. The five pound is for all day if you wish it !! -
Well done the Aces and in particular Joe Jacobs. I feel sorry for Swindon and hope that their new stadium does happen and some good news is just around the corner . Hopefully the Council back Swindon Speedway to the hilt just like Manchester City Council backed The NSS...

All of the Polish tracks are in the town or city and will be easily arrived at by a local bus. I have travelled a lot in Poland and often used their trains and buses. -

Belle Vue V Leicester 15.07.16.
KIRKYLANE replied to Barrow Boy 2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Michael Palm Toft rode well for Leicester in the reserve position which gives protection from the heat leaders in the programmed rides. He rode well for us at the Greyhound track... apparently his average did not fit re taking him on the next year...... he was popular with the crowd. On the same night Bjarne Pedersen got 13 + 1 for Poole from the reserve berth since his average is conveniently on 4.49 For exactly the same reason , heat leader averages are suppressed in this format due to the fact that they meet the other heat leaders far more often compared to the PL format. Looks like the present EL format will die a death this winter anyway. Leicester rode well and deserved their league point. The track staff did a marvelous job with the track considering it was saturated at 6 PM..A really good match with plenty of passing and some hard fought battles between various riders during the night. -
Mr Bear works for Bradford Council .. probably the planning dept.. IF you saw the car that he drives you would know he can't be an architect !!!!!

Tai was wrong to use that language on TV or at any Speedway meeting which one would hopefully regard as family friendly. Instant apologies by the media I hope Tai makes an apology also. ( he may have done but I am not aware of one )

In the first 5 races at the Pairs there was one pass after half a lap. The track was then graded and watered. In total there were 18 races with passing after half a lap and a total of 56 passes again after half a lap. Somerset is a very good track. Unfortunately due to it's location and Friday night racing I cannot get there very often. There will always be some supporters who have a totally biased incorrect point of view.,,,,, based on bias rather than reality

Things You Miss In Speedway...
KIRKYLANE replied to Gresham's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Regular second halves with races given over to juniors / novices. Watching young talent progress in these races as well as the rider of the night final and qualifying heats to go with it. At Belle Vue when I started there used to be 13 heats for the league match , 10 races in the second half , a 10 minute interval ... all completed by 2100 hrs with a 1900 hrs start. Nowadays you can spend up to 1 hr 45 mins for the one league match with 15 races !!!! -
After tonight's performance , Danny King , the British Champion deserves a place in the team.

Scorpions V Witches 3rd July 2016 Premier League
KIRKYLANE replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
King and Covatti both had disappointing matches to say the least. Ipswich are a real enigma. Year after year their team looks strong and then fails to match any potential. At least Joe Jacobs got a satisfactory 6 paid 7. -
COPIED FROM OFFICIAL WEB SITE Belle Vue speedway are delighted to announce the introduction of post meeting Press Conferences for our fans. After every home meeting, all fans will be invited to join the Press Conference in the Peter Craven suite. These will commence approximately 10 minutes after the close of meeting parade. This is to allow fans from South Stand to make their way around to the Peter Craven suite. The Conference will be attended by Mark Lemon - Team Manager, selected Belle Vue riders and the Promoters of Belle Vue speedway. There will be several interviews and the opportunity for fans to ask questions in a Q & A session. There will also be photo/autograph opportunities with the riders. The Peter Craven suite has a set safety capacity, so please arrive as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Tuesday 5th July 2016 Excellent idea from the management

Scorpions V Witches 3rd July 2016 Premier League
KIRKYLANE replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Scunthorpe rode well and Ipswich were disappointing yet again. King and Covatti certainly did not score anywhere near their potential. -
The weather forecast was poor to say the least and that itself will have decreased the attendance . I went because it is my home track and will attend as long as there is a chance of the meeting being on. However any other tracks that I go to then I am definitely weather conscious.... yesterday's forecast would have made me not attend at any track other than Belle Vue. I was going to Workington today but on checking the forecast this morning I decided that the forecast was too dodgy to go all that way.... only to find that Workington called it off at approx 0830 this morning. The weather is certainly the promoter's biggest nightmare !!!!!

With Jonas Kylmakorpi injured Craig gets his chance in the SGP qualifier as he is first reserve for the event. Good luck Craig ....show everyone your true potential and hopefully join Max Fricke in the Final On a side note I hope Robert Lambert gets through as well as Craig. to boost British qualification in the Final.

Somerset V Peterborough Koc Qf - 28th June
KIRKYLANE replied to bigcatdiary's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I was coming to this meeting but the forecast is far too dodgy, Another meeting lost to the weather forecast but I would rather do that than a long drive to a rain off and a very frustrating drive home. Hope the weather is good for the Pairs so that I get to Somerset for a meeting -
good luck Joe. Paco might be popular but Joe has far more potential plus he is a young Brit.

I checked the bspa web site on the Sunday to find out the start time and everything was ok then. Mildenhall should be fined for what they did. It will not stop me going again at some time in the future.... But once again Speedway shoots itself in the foot. No wonder the media give Speedway little support or recognition.
