Newman's points should be removed. He should be blamed - there is no way he could have had his eyes open during that race and was a danger to everyone. Can't believe some people are treating this so lightly. Riding at 70mph into a cloud of shale with no eye protection is insane. But yes, the ref / start marshall in particular were disgraceful. It could have been a terrible advert for Speedway, ridiculous. That said, Poole were incredibly lucky early on and did very well to keep it to a draw. So hats off to them but they will get it tougher on Wednesday.

A respectable result for glasgow after the debacle on Friday, and what a great day out. Top class from all involved, big crowd, magic atmosphere, no bad accidents. Any newcomers would have loved it.

Terrible, but I'm not THAT surprised. We looked like a mid table side in the earlier part of the season. Then we rode our luck with some great guest performances when we lost Kozza, Morris on a number of occasions and Berge. We had a run through the summer where the results flattered imho. And what has happened to Richard Lawson? Great rider on his day but after Cook rightly beat him twice in the Peugot international thing it's like his head has gone down. Maybe it's equipment or something. Anyway. For everyone involved I hope there is a good crowd on Saturday, and you never know we might even get a result against the cup winners.

Unfortunately can't make tonight as I've a prior engagement, but here's hoping it's a good advert for speedway and we pump you. Don't know what Kauko will be like, Palovaara should be important and hopefully Sarjeant can put Monday behind him. Aaron and Morris are riding well and a big performance from Lawson is needed. I believe the Facenna's own the stadium now and this was part of the buyout deal. Ashfield FC are a junior team though - I don't think the comparison is worthwhile (but I've no idea how much they charge tbh). Will try to get along this year though. I really do believe this is very much a community minded facility and the football is part of that.

Can't see it being 1200 minimum, but it's probably somewhere in between. I love what the Facennas have done, but I'm a bit worried if we need 1200 Week in week out just to break even! Well, I was there and it was poor. The worst meeting I've seen this season. And I remember Blantyre (vaguely). BUT Speedway is hard on itself. I've paid 20 odd quid to watch my football team humped 1-7 in minus two temperatures on a Sunday night to suit TV. Absolutely bloody miserable. With added fan scuffling and abuse to finish it all off. Ashfield is a lovely stadium, craic and the pies were good + no embarrassment or injury pre the big dump meeting.

I'm certain we'll get the crowds tbh. This is massive. For me, Edinburgh are the premier side by a fair margin again, but if we regain a bit of form then it's open. Very exciting fixtures indeed. yaaaaaaaaas.

Lawson hasn't been the same rider since July. I think he needs a bit of rest and also not sure how his bike is performing. Must be something:( He can ride at Sheffield.

Stuart Dickinson, I'm sure, said Neiminen was probably fit for Newcastle but they were going to give him a little more time. Good side we've got out but I'm surprised he's not included. Palovaara will make a difference though.

There doesn't seem to be any news on him anywhere at the moment. His twitter hasn't been updated. From what I heard on Sunday it wasn't a break but that's hearsy. I did here Neiminen would be back for Rye House and also Workington, but I'd like to know tbh.
