Someone needs to have a training session on speaking to the public. They have to keep folk in the safe areas but should be told to be polite and courteous. It's embarresing at times when you hear them yelling you can't stand there - move. Having said that the example from Dick is just as bad, so what do you expect. People have paid good money and that is crap customer service.

Glasgow V Edinburgh Cl Sat 12th Aug 2017@7pm

No, I understand the money and agree, but I'd look at all the contingencies and see if there was anything I could do to ensure what happened tonight didn't happen again. -

Somerset 2 seasons ago. I'm still going to go, so that's not my gripe. My point is that for any sporting event, that kind of delay is pretty catastrophic. It's a dreadful advert for the sport when there are other alternatives available. I can guarantee if it was my first night at speedway I'd be reluctant to go back. -

Something has to be done. There must be some low cost contingency plan, because that was an HOUR AND A HALF delay for one injured rider. Smith is OK apparently so delighted with that which is the main thing, but any newcomers would be put off. EDITED To add I actually agree with Scotsman above, a terrible advert for Speedway. -
If your not allowed to be fit the day after your unfit, you'll never get fit.

Cook is a star, and I hope he qualifies for the gp series. This pits business is probably handbags.

Poole Vs Rye House Thurs 10/8/17
damosuzuki replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Have to agree that I think we (Glasgow) and three or four championship sides would beat Poole atm. On paper they don't look much and on Shale they seem to be even worse. Also have to say that Rye House lineup looks like an Elite league team, will be a shame if they don't make the playoffs. Three GP winners and 3 guys who can be 9 pointers on their night. -

Why is next week free? ????? We have had numerous blanks, including one for testimonial elsewhere this season. Even by speedway standards its effing shambolic. I'll be at Al our meetings but this has been a very badly scheduled season, and Glasgow itself one of the worst. Edited its the fours. We don't have time for five separate trophies in the championship. -
Swindon V Poole Thurs 27/07/
damosuzuki replied to Sidney the robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
And yet Poole are still in the top 4, to me thats a playoff side and can only improve. Wouldn't write them off tbh. Very exciting leagues this year. How raging must kings Lynn be though at holders carry on. -
Poole Pirates Vs Somerset Rebels 26/07/17

Delighted Richie Worral Shut up the doubters. To be fair it has been a summer of extreme weather. Still think Poole will make the playoffs, but you never know. Without an out and out #1 it's going to be tight. -

Must have been at least 3500 there last night, maybe more. I'm sure they'd have made money. -

Had enjoyed the meeting so much I had completely forgotten about the exploding bike . I'd imagine the AstroTurf took a bit of heat. -

Tractors at glasgow. Starman should stick to what he's good at. Subtracting £2.90 from a fiver. -

Won't rain, meeting will be on. Spoke to my mate in the met office and he says they're just trying to drum up interest with a few controversial forecasts at a quiet time of year. -
See the poor sods are Torquay are actually discussing GI's plans for 'a new stadium' by 2020. People are still listening to this carrot
-
Why ON EARTH anyone trusted this man is beyond me. Surely the council can do something. Poole surely have to terminate their relationship with GI as well. I believe in Karma, and this character (and his cohorts) hopefully gets his share. Despicable.

Berwick V Glasgow Cl Sat July 15th At 7pm
damosuzuki replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Great meeting, unfortunate about H15, but it was an ice rink in places the last few heats. Probably should / could have sorted it out but an enjoyable night none the leass. Roll on Glesga this afternoon. -
Holder seems a decent enough bloke but has surely burnt his bridges in the UK now* * Apart from when he signs for Poole before the cutoff on a crap average.
