Another team change! Rob G. you must stop all the black cats crossing your path!! I am sure that whatever team changes come to Scuni that the team will not stay at the bottom of the league for long.. Come on onwards and upwards.

Reading the comments on the teams away performance I agree with some of them but not all. If team changes are to be made and I think it is required WHO is to say that any new rider will do any better than the ones that now ride for Sconthorpe? If Andreas joins the line up and a move around of the others lets see what resolves as I think " things will only get better" as the song goes.

Just read Scunthorpes article in the Speedway Star. It quotes from Taylor with references to the injuries he has had, the metal work in him and that He thinks he is not the rider he was. I personally wish him all the very best for the future in whatever it brings.

So the EDR didn't make it into the top 3 tracks in the Premier League this year. Its a shame but if it keeps the other promoters from not crying in their beer I suppose its a small price to pay. Come on Rob we want it back next year along with been the League Champions.

Just seen the 6 riders, with no surprises ,with another 3 point rider to be named BUT can someone tell me is there leeway on the 42.5 points for a team as the total for Scunthorpe will be 42.52 just over the 42.5 OR was the team total points changed at the promoters bash and I have missed it.

Rumours, rumours and more rumours All we can do is just wait and see. I have just been on the SGB site and seen the new "Key Appointments Photo" Rob G. doesn't look very happy, is it because he couldn't have his photo taken in his favourite set of overalls ?

No surprises with signing Holub, but a good one all the same, lets hope that some others are what we expect them to be. ( Josh ,Ryan,Carl and Alex )

I have just read on the SGB site that Rob says and I quote "The problem is obvious the traffic on a Friday evening is just getting worse and worse ". He also says that " with just 7 meetings left had the crowds not improved in the way they did it would have been the end of the Scorpions. The race night was on a Friday and the crowds increased. With an increased crowd Rob has decided to change race days, did he ask the regular supporters if they preferred Friday or Sunday ? As I said in my in my last post I hope that the crowd increases, without the 15, and the EDW is open to Speedway for a few more years.

As for Sunday racing, I know of 15 adults that have been going to the EWR since the first year of racing and in NO way can get to a Sunday Night meeting. Just 15 fans now looking to go somewhere on a weekday night. I hope that for the rest of the fans that the gates are good and that the EWR is open for years to come.

Super news, will racing be on a Sunday evening ? does anyone know.

Rob tried to bring on young riders in the N L last year but it was very unpopular with some of the Promoters mind you the ones that objected the most were very quick to sign the riders who showed promise at the end of the season!! Like you I would like to see the draft system.

Great news for Newcastle Speedway, lets hope that Scunthorpe fans have the same good news.

Welcome to the club. Berwick ,Scunthorpe and now Newcastle fans are left up in the air about 2016, lets all hope that all 3 run next year.

All I wish for is; 1--A good crowd for the last home meeting of this year; 2-- A large home win and that ALL riders have a safe night; 3--Rob doesn't get burned setting off the sparklers !!

Congratulations to Ulrich on his win. Did anyone have trouble with the attitude of the "you will not bring any food or drink into the stadium " bag searches ? Why I ask is the lady behind me in the queue was told Very abruptly to put her food and drink back in her car or she would not get in even though she said she was on a special diabetic diet and the food she had to have was not on sale in the stadium. On complaining to the " head " of the security he said that it would have been ok for her to take in her food. Talk about left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing !! We all know that the speedway rents the stadium and that this the owners rules but do they have to be so dogmatic with it or are they just hard up and see this as a way to make money at the expense of others.

A very big pat on the back for Rob and his team to get a 2 very good race events on today, for those who didn't go they missed a great meeting.

Lets hope that the weather is kind to us, a 3 point win to the Scorpions, a good MDL Championship but most important ALL riders go home safe and in the same condition that they arrive at the EDW.
