Anybody interested in this match ? Seems not as there was no post as I posted this. I'm not surprised, no Palm Toft, again, we haven't seen him ride since he joined Rebels as a temp replacement for Hougard !!! Hougard will be fit by the time he is able to appear for us instead of Scunny !!! Ah well, I suppose we knew it was going to be tough in the Premiership but I didn't realise that it would be made tougher by having your team decimated week in week out by the Championship and the continent. It's getting time I thought of other things to do on a Friday night !!! I have enjoyed my return to watching speedway for the last three years but my enthusiasm is being tested now !

That's the best thing to do Gresham ! I have only been back watching Speedway for three years now since 1978 and I have seen a lot of changes on the technical side i.e. laydown engines, straight frames, offset forks, bike covers and kevlars. From the league and team sides,2017 is light years apart from 1978 back in the old British League and National League days !!! I get exasperated with team absences through European commitments, priority for a Championship sides over Premiership sides. I find it all to much to get my 65 year old head around !!! So I have solved the problem and just turn up and watch the Speedway that is dished up ! I was looking forward to seeing Michael Palm Toft for his debut home meeting on Friday but alas it is not to be and Brady Kurtz is and exiting replacement / guest !!! Lets face it there is a big pool of riders and we watch what were given every week a bit like lucky or not so lucky dip !!! Enjoy your Speedway Gresham !!!

STARKE FOR NEWMAN ?????? !!!!!! What is Ford playing at ? While I like Paul, as a rider and bloke, he had hit the bottom rung when GM released him from Rebels, as someone said earlier he's got to hit the ground winning for you guys. I hope he rekindles his previous form and he could well shine for Poole but because he hasn't really proved himself since parting company with Rebels, I think it's a risky move ! Never the less, I wish Starkey and Pirates all the best for the rest of the season ! Feel gutted for Kyle also.

If Tunny can regain his last years form he would be ideal for the Aces especially with the average he'll be on !!!

The trouble with Cookie is if it doesn't go his way he sulks, he isn't interested if the track doesn't suit him. He blames everything but himself, the track conditions, the lighting, the wind !!! It's a shame because I rate him and when he's in the groove watch him fly !!! He's an exiting rider and he needs to set an example to younger riders to deal with the hand he's dealt. COME ON COOKIE ! MAN UP !!! Don't resort to spoilt brat behaviour !!!

Can someone tell Cookie there is a reverse charge call waiting for him on the Somerset Rebels Pit phone please ! Apparently it's a caller offering anger management therapy !!! Oh and if he takes up the offer he will get a personality absolutely free of charge !!!

If Josh and Richie push each other like that score wise, we are in for quite a decent 2/3rds of the season left at the Oaktree !!! Brilliant stuff from Josh and Richie wasn't hanging about !!!

I will put my hand up to being very pessimistic about the Rebels team change saga and I was not overly complimentary to the incoming trio of riders but those views were soon allayed after they had each taken a ride in their first match at the OTA last evening. Come the end of the match it was as though Richard Lawson had been with us all season by the way he rode and gelled with the supporters and celebrated his very creditable 15 points. Cameron Heeps is going to keep Jake on his toes and rode brilliantly, I had not taken much notice of him previously but he has made me sit up and take notice now !!! Lewis Kerr will find his feet and develop but he still turned in a reasonable debut score. I was concerned how the "new" boys would fit in with the existing team and was worried if the camaraderie of the original team would disappear but any worries on that score faded with the evening sun. GO REBELS !!! ONWARD !!! And you, Garry May !!! Oh and by the way Debbie ! BUY THE NEW BOYS SOME TEAM KEVLARS PLEASE !!!
