Poole v Swindon. Prem. 19/8/19
The Master 88 replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Can Someone please tell me why Poole riders dont have race suits, Just asking, seems strange to me -
Scott Nichols rode Thursday Night Ipswich and Opposing riders cant see the problem, Should be professional enough at that level to have 2 vans 6 plus bikes and enough Kevlars, and why Practice, track is never the same the next day, and Dugard didn't when he won the British GP at Coventry
-
I think Scotty did his 2 one at the old Stadium and one at the New stadium

Sgp Wildcards 2018
The Master 88 replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Surely there is nothing stopping ALL riders doing the GP Challenge, then if they don't make the top eight but make it the challenge way all good, and they would have all winter to get sponsors, Also why if I am correct is the Under 21 world Champ not given a wild card I know Drabik is Polish but I think he has earned it. -

Its a joke Holder, MONEY TALKS -
If you take a average rider riding in 2 leagues, Generally that would be 4-5 bikes plus spares, Each engine CAN cost about 1-2k to be tuned, Plus all the extras, Not many riders use stock Handlebars, grips, chains, sprockets, Clutches, Clutch plates, seats mudguards, covers all have own preference or design, so that's extra, Kevlar's / Nylons 400-800 pounds a set normally 4 sets for 2 leagues, Helmets, minimum 2, 200-800, Gloves at least 5 pairs, Goggles at least 6 pairs, plus spares, Boots 2 pairs, Steel shoe some get old ones replated buts that's down to personal preference again, most other stuff should last year in year out, Body belt, Body armour, roll necks, face masks. Vans don't last and need to be kitted out with bike rack, shelving, wheel holders etc. And don't forget Personal insurance, for you and the race team, Van insurance, 50k a year mileage, multiply drivers that's high, All the bikes need insuring these days from Theft. Yes you build up a stock of spares, but also take into account about 50 quid on Nuts and bolts a year, rubber washers, use once throw away, tool boxes, the list is amazing and very long.

Tyres, Fuel and Oil, Travel expenses are all covered by club or club Sponsors Normally, But all the other Mechanics pay, Gym membership, Additional Buildings ( no top level rider works out of a Garage anymore) plus all the running costs of that, You have also have to realise it costs about 25k plus every Feb to start rebuilding and getting ready for the next year.

I am sorry if the question has been answered or asked before I have looked BUT how can KK ride in Somerset on a Friday and a Grand Prix Saturday in a different Country YET British riders cant / Don't Ride Somerset Friday and Cardiff the next day, what 100 miles apart and a British Championship not just a league match, done seem right to me. -

Dangerous Machines Or Dangerous Tracks.

I have said it before on here, Untuned Sealed motors from the factory it will stop a lot of silly money being spent and silly power coming out of a fragile motor, Yes as people have said progress things get faster, but Now in BSB they are running basically stock motors, WSB is looking to go the same, Moto GP, have put in restrictions year on year, I cant take about 4 wheel racing as I don't have a clue, Safety has got better because of air fences but then we have gone Backwards in a way with Nylon Suits, Kevlars, not good enough for todays racing not much protection, look at the damage to Crumpies arm, etc, The White Knight, on 12 Aug 2017 - 3:47 PM, said: Is there or is there far more media coverage so we know, In the 60s/ 70s /80s I could not tell you who was riding in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Italy Poland etc let alone tell you if anyone got hurt. Are riders doing to many meetings in to many countries getting Fatigue and making mistakes, the whole speedway world is different now to then can you compare. -
Question for people in the know, Will holder be able to get a Visa following a Ban ? also will he be able to get a permit to ride at Cardiff if he is refused a visa (depending on him making top eight)
-
Surely he can only be charged if the person he hit reports him, if he and the person have shook hands made up etc. that's the end of it, But if he slagged the whole of British speedway off on twitter for the whole world to see that's different, I feel Holders punishment is more about his Childish reaction on Social media.

Reality Time For Speedway.
The Master 88 replied to Odds On's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
You will have to ban Engine tuning to make it a sensible sport again, Money wise riders can spent silly money for one meeting hence what they demand, Did John Berry say a long time ago, Sealed engines no tuning will bring down the Costs, make racing closer and fairer. -
Sorry Misunderstood about Visas I thought You had to get a visa To live and work in a country before getting to work in other countries therefore the UK visa would be the main one hence my comment
