  1. Everyone has bad days, and tracks they’re not so good at, I’m sure if it was GP challenge only to get in back in the day, Gollob would of never made it through if he got certain tracks, didn’t mean he shouldn’t have been there
  2. Yep… I knowWe’re discussing who could come in to make it stronger
  3. Pedersen for Thomsen and possibly J Holder for Fricke would be the only changes I would make to what will probably be the line up, but if it is the line up, it’ll be the closest it’s been to the top 15 in the world in a long time
  4. Non GP riders who could be worth a wildcard would be, imo, J Holder, Pedersen (out of gp retirement), G Laguta (but he wouldn’t do it), Kolodziej (but is ageing and so wouldn’t get one, and wouldn’t really be worthy of one) and that, in my opinion, is it, So virtually, Jack Holder, and that is it
  5. Why would you want worse riders though? Just because a rider has finished say 10th in the series, I can virtually guarantee that whoever would come in to replace him would not achieve any higher than him, For example Vaculik, he is, in my opinion, a top 10 rider, and no one that is currently not in the series is better than him, or has shown that they are better than him? Kubera got to a final on his home track, that isn’t even a normal gp track, let’s see how he does in the SoN, and have another look, if he beats the danes and aussies and the others around NSS and Dauga, then maybe ur right, he should be in it, but in my opinion, domestically he’s not had a good season at all really, as it’s his first season in the top 5 in the Ekstraliga, 2/3 years time i’m sure he’ll be ready, but putting riders in at a young age can sometimes be a massive hinderance on their career, they have the u21 world championships, and then they improve, and go into the main championship if and when they’re ready
  6. Pepe staying with Falubaz ain’t he? Bellego’s leaving Byd
  7. Emil Sayfutdinov Grigori Laguta in the early to mid 2010’s
  8. Based on how good they are obviously… Kolodziej and Nicki Pedersen are both subjectively top 20 riders in the world, but Nicki has retired from the Grand Prix’s anyways, so is irrelevant, dont know why you’re mentioning Bjerre, he’s no where near, and isn’t on averages either, Piotr has also had a bad season and isn’t worthy atm. The gp’s were never intended to be the best 15 riders in the world? How? To find out who the world champion is, you need to have the best riders in the series.
  9. What happens to Germany now, if Smolinski can’t ride? Although why would they name him yesterday if he crashed on Saturday
  10. Vaculik a top 10 rider in the world, no reason why he shouldn’t be in the series at all
  11. And that’s not me sticking up for the racing, as I know fine well how bad it is, but never seen the likes of Cookie and Wells moaning about it like we usually do
  12. I don’t think I’ve seen any riders moaning about the track on social media this season though… so it may feel better/easier/different for them?
  13. So he missed the gate… He got 2 points, both times the other rider didn’t finish… He was playing it safe for god sakeWas miles quicker than Bailey, who was riding mid track, 1 simple blast and he’d of been round him, but hugged the curb because he didn’t want to fall off in his last meeting, which was understandable to me, but when he’s taking guest bookings afterwards, it’s not
  14. Missed the gate and hugged the curb all night, played it safe
  15. Hope he puts as much effort in tonight as he did on Saturday…
  16. Surprised by this, presumed last night was his last meeting, a bit anticlimactic really, he didn’t put any effort in last night really, I presumed playing it safe to get out of the sport alive
  17. I just think that if he had Kyle Buckley’s standard of machinery, he’d be better than him in all honesty, but obviously that’s all ‘what if’
  18. Says it on the Plymouth Gladiators official facebook page… I’ll listen to them over you I think ‘Ben getting read for tonight’s meeting, he is keen to get his hand on some of that £10k prize pot #plymouthgladiators #plymouthspeedway’
  19. Did you go on Saturday? And to Redcar? Think you’d have a different opinion if you saw who he was beating and passing in those 2 meetings on different tracks, beat plenty Championship riders, under the same system will be a lower star rating than Bickley, saving you an extra point in the main body. He was streets ahead of Morley, Gilkes and Mulford on Saturday, with better equipment coming from better sponsors he would be even better.
  20. £10k prize pot! Where’s all the Plymouth money coming from
  21. Would love to see Greg Blair given the number 7 next season, if same sort of rules apply, with some decent equipment he would give it a real go
