I’d say Kemp will hold his own with the weaker number 6’s, Edwards, Bailey, Jenkins. Obviously not as good as Kerr and Wojdylo. Not sure who Birminghams will be, but J Thomp will be the weakest/2nd weakest along with Boughen of the number 7’s.
Wiktor Lampart would be a very nice addition to British Speedway, a young Pole on the up. Average just below F Jakobsen in Ekstraliga, and despite being one of the weakest riders in Ekstraliga main bodies, he’s only 22 years old. I’d expect him to average 6 at least if here for the full season.
I think Schlein on a 7.5 is a ‘good average’, had virtually no help this season away from home, and got much better at home after his injury. Was consistently scoring double figures away from home all season. Very happy with him at number 5.
Not convinced about Kerr myself on that average. Had an easy season riding at 3 for most of it and not being relied upon in heat 15 due to Masters and Nicholls has inflated that average.
Schlein was a must for me, good average, showed he still has it.
Thing is it was £15 5-10 years ago, riders pay and everything else has increased fairly dramatically in those years, so unfortunately the admission price moves up with it.
£2 cheaper for them on the gate. Concessions in the main aren’t going to be the ones buying online advanced tickets. I do think it should be slightly cheaper than £18 though.
I was a big advocate for him to be dropped this season before his injury, but half of the reason was due to his idiotic average, the other half being his home form. I wouldn’t be against him returning next year though.
