  1. A wee tip. If you go on Tigers Facebook page on the day of the meeting you'll find links to a stream.
  2. There's nothing like an incisive, interesting, meaningful post, a pity you fail on all counts.
  3. Yeah I blame all those sat at home watching it on their TV (and other devices) or for free on the updates page. Never mind it gives them more time to type nonsense and pretend to be important, for sure.
  4. The important point is that he is own loan. I rate Connor very very highly and feel he could advance greatly in the sport, his style is superb, he has a good family behind him, lots of sponsors and he certainly appears to be a decent lad. However, in the short-term, Glasgow had the choice to select Connor with a 4.32 average instead of Vissing or Nowak who both started with 5.00 averages. Connor has had some really good meetings BUT his GS average so far this year has only increased to 4.63. Nowak has increased to 5.94 and Vissing to 5.69 and in Vissing's case his real average for 2023 is closer to 7. And as we all know averages rule the sport and if a rider gets injured they become even more important.
  5. This is scary, I agree with you! Yes well done Connor Bailey. The Final race was unbelievable.
  6. You really are a , you're last sentence says nothing other than s--- stir. Why not have courage and say 'you categorically know that's why Connor left'. The simple reason is you don't know; you assume, you surmise, you throw out a soundbite and see if anyone is stupid enough to believe you. Basically, you think everyone is a sad as you. The Edinburgh promotion must be desperate for fans if they allow you into their stadium as you are a total embarassment.
  7. He didn't get rid! Everyone agreed that Connor's career would advance quicker if he moved to another track. He'll be back.
  8. He was referring to heat 9 and quite frankly when Connor's in front at Ashfield few people pass him. I take it the updater spotted the passing in the subsequent heats?
  9. The two posts you quoted were in response to the so called Glasgow fan with chips on both shoulders. He suggested the Facennas might be good businessmen but knew nothing about speedway as they had won nothing. They built excellent teams but were unlucky with injuries which you can't legislate for. Not to mention everything else they have done for speedway.
  10. Could someone change the title of this thread, thought it was Glasgow 2023, or would it be better if the two s ............................ off?
  11. Just to thank the Birmingham promotion re-the stream for the match. I received an unprompted email indicating the stream had been re-loaded; that I would have a free pass for any meeting; and that if this wasn't satisfactory to contact them. I have watched the stream and despite the lack of Nick Morris there was some excellent racing with Alfie Bowtell showing great skill and more importantly determination - unlike some of his more experienced colleagues. Bomber was superb and every Tiger rode well. There was, quite rightly, a lot of criticism by a number of fans about the stream. Just surprised that so few seem to have acknowledged the offer, which I think is a fair one, by the Birmingham owners. But then again perhaps some of those criticising were just jumping on a bandwagon and hadn't actually paid for the stream?
  12. Excellent point that a lot of people tend to forget.
  13. The SCB statement says "Birmingham Rider Nick Morris was one of the four riders randomly selected." Full statement here SCB STATEMENT: NICK MORRIS - Thursday, July 13, 2023 (britishspeedway.co.uk)
  14. With this being a league match, Berwick will do OK, high 30s or even low 40s. Poole riders will be keeping an eye on their averages.
  15. If a team is going to win trophies they will have to lose a rider or riders the following season. And its not a case of riders making it so obvious that they always score 8+4, I was just using that as an example of how averages are currently calculated and how they can be manipulated by teams and for that matter individual riders. Poole had to let one of their heat leaders go at the end of last season. They could have kept their top two riders, based on averages - Worrall and King both 8.05 - and would have still been under the limit. But they chose Richard, despite his average being less than the other two. Why, because they knew he is a far better rider than both of them despite his 7.97 Green sheet average.
  16. And with only Championship meetings counting towards averages it is easier to do so. Also if you score bonus points, you get paid the same but your average can drop. For example, score 12 from 4 in every meeting you have a 12 point average. Score 8+ 4 from 4 in every meeting and you have an 8 point average and yet you haven't been beaten by an opposition rider. Interestingly, Steve Worrall has ridden in 5 Championship meetings this year and 'only' scored 9 from 5; 7 from 4; 9 from 4, 8 from 5 and 6 from 5 yet whilst riding at No.1. Poole still managed to win 4 of these meetings.
  17. Since you specified you don't have any trolls, I assume you agree with the other part of my sentence Unfortunately their success also results in them attracting sad people that can't help spout nonsense
  18. 'Most' Glasgow fans don't bother with speedway forums. There's probably less than 30 on this one and yes some of them would rather watch good exciting racing than win trophies. The majority of Glasgow fans are like most fans they want to see their team win at home. The difference at Glasgow is that they also get good exciting racing as a bonus. Most fans also realise that not every team can win trophies and teams that win trophies don't always attract big crowds. The Ford's model works for Poole and they are very good at it. For example, they signed and kept 2 of the best gaters in the league who are also apparently very good at manipulating their averages. Unfortunately their success also results in them attracting sad people that can't help spout nonsense and who enjoy trolling,
