  1. Bit cloudy. Forecast is cloudy and 50F so should keep moisture in track and produce good racing
  2. I think all Tigers fans should be wary and listen to Stuart Dickson. Nothing has been won. Cook, Masters, Sedgmean and even Wolbert are capable of winning lots of races at Ashfield. Track preparation will be crucial, if it gets dusty it could become gate and go and then its a lottery. But with a big vocal home support - get out the airhorns and flags - Tigers should win.
  3. That's my point about the 'real rule' - who does know/? By the way there is a rule that says the rear wheel must be in contact with the track at the start so its not legal to spin your wheel
  4. Just read that Steve Worral is ill and his place will be taken by Richie Worral. Now expect the gap to be greater than previously predicted.
  5. Forum experts go on about Cook getting away with rolling (he used to and still does occasionally) and sargeant (he doesn't - he anticipates) and wondered why if they were cheating refs didn't do more. I got hold of the rules and cant find anything about rolling or anticipating starts aas being an offence. What is the rule and I don't mean Pearson and tatums rule I mean the real rule?
  6. I'm not a betting man but somewhere in the region of 53-41 for the Monarchs
  7. Good win for Glasgow with paid wins for every rider. Any Plymouth fans confirm the crowd, quality of racing?
  8. Just to say I love these positive posts. I am one of those people who think speedway was better in the past but having looked at some old videos the only difference is that there are bigger crowds and a good atmosphere The racing wasn't much diferent than it is now but we didn't have social media in those days, just a pint in the pub afterwards
  9. Lots of if and buts about the Diamonds so should be an easy win for rebels.
  10. Spot on about Cook. But we should get through unless Aussies change their team I would have North or Masters for Batchelor who is either ill, suffering from injuries or ....
  11. Surely Glasgow would only get rider replacement as on a 7 point average he will no longer be reserve? or is it different for doubling down/ip riders???
  12. He is not a Glasgow asset that is why Coventry takes precedence and he misses meetings
  13. Paulco's right. On a positive note, Glasgow have had only 3 league meetings so far. they are 7th in the league. The top 6 qualify for the play-offs so no need to panic, yet.
  14. Just wondering, did the new owners know they were in the stadium? For example, did these riders approach them and say you won't know us but we are ex-Tigers riders, feel free to get your presenter to interview us if there is a delay? If they did, totally agree with you, if they didn't then what can the owners do?
  15. How is Simon Neilsen after his fall today? it was reported he'd hurt his wrist. Will Diamonds be able to use a guest on Monday night, any ideas?
  16. A good win for the Tigers and as Stewart Dickson keeps saying we are not yet firing on all cylinders. The real problem is lack of track time at Ashfield what with 3 Sunday rain offs in a row. Also the meetings we have had at least 3 have been affected by rain/drizzle including today. I left straight after the meeting as it started to rain again, does anyone know how Kyle Bickley got on?
  17. Its good that Tigers and Monarchs promotions appear to be working for the greater good. From what I've read they seem to have spent the last few years acting like 'fans' rather than promoters
  18. Don't see the Diamonds being troubled in this one although no doubt Tigers fans will come down in their droves expecting a win and a wee drink or two
