  1. he also helped stopPlymouth from getting an away point -bet Ipswich are happy
  2. So Edinburgh get beat after being unbeatable How long will it be before someone says they did it deliberately to try and stop Glasgow finishing second
  3. Should be a corker of a meeting Shaleshifter with the reserves perhaps being crucial. If Vikter continues his recent ashfield form tigers should win. You'll love the stadium - we can now call it a stadium lets be honest it was a derelict weed strewn dump before! Forecast is getting better light rain shower 10am sunshine at 1pm and cloudy at 4pm but as paulco says it will keep changing up until sunday morning. so since your on a tour anyway get along early and enjoy the food and drink and theres usually a singer or something on before hand.
  4. Don't reallly follow this Are you saying that Cookie is a liar and that he lied so as he doesn't get banned from riding for the Monarchs at Glasgow
  5. Am I smug . this forecasting lark is a doddle though probably got the crowd wrong looked to me to be the biggest we have had apart from the opening match. Also good to hear cookie saying nice things about the track and how much he enjoyed it etc etc and to be fair he was well received by the crowd. also nice to see most people waiting for the trophy ceremony and the spraying of the champagne, what a waste
  6. Well the weather forecast is great, for once . looking forward to a burger and chips and a few tomorrow at the Peugeot stadium. Clearly Craig Cook is the favourite but you can't have everything A pity that some of the original line-up had to pull out cos of injury but these things happen. Glad that riders that have guested for us have been invited. Josh normally does well and Richie Worral had a brilliant meeting a few weeks ago. Forecast big crowd; Michael and Jimmy have problems with the Slovenians name and 1st Craig Cook; 2nd Richard L; 3rd Josh G
  7. Spot on Paulco; 15 heats for a league match with 12-14 riders costs £15 at Glasgow. Its obvious 22 heats with 16 riders must cost more. I look forward to the line-up for the Scottish Open - seem to remember the monarchs charge more for this than for there league matches. At Glasgow in a modernised stadium its normally £15 for 15 heats; £20 for 22 heats would seem reasonable.
  8. This realy was a thrashing. a puncture for Victor when miles in front in heat 2 otherwise he would have had a well deserved maximum. an Ef for our guest Josh who scored paid 9 from his other 3 rides and Aaron having bike problems in the last heat which also helped block Richard who was lining up to pass the impressive Anderson. so basically we were unlucky on the day sadly Redcar have had no luck recently with all there injuries but you can only beat whats in front of you and it was a big pay day for the home team. seemed to be a good crowd again with 100s of kids enjoying free entry and there race against Roary The riders are playing there part posing for photos and giving autographs and celebrating the win with wheelies and kozza style 'dancing'. only downside to these big crowds is you have to get in about an hour before the start to get a seat in the stand
  9. if the Whiches were to win would Glasgow have to play Ipswich or the select in the final
  10. Info taken from Tigers facebook site; do other tracks do this? SUNDAYS MEETING: Here is your schedule: Pre-race: ... 14:35 Roary's here, what vehicle will he use for his entrance this week? Heat 7 grading of track and special presentation Heat 10 grading of track, and £500 smackeroonies it's the biggest 50/50 in speedway buy your tickets on entry. Heat 14 Roary you will move on the first whistle, Kids you will move whenever you fancy! It's our Kids Race. Post Meeting Parade of winning team and Belt Up Trophies Rider of the Night Presentation. 11. Back to the Glasgow v Redcar fixture - I can see Kus up for this,Doolan (guesting) always gives 100% and no doubt Berge will get double figures So should be good match although Tigers to win. Hopefully a big crowd with U16s getting in free
  12. Thanks for the explanation. now understand the context of your previous post
  13. I take it everyone else can make sense of this and I'm the won that's thick?
  14. Well done to the Bears fans that turned up tonight considering all your injuries
  15. James S also rides for Glasgow - just to emphasis your point
  16. Spot on Dorothy. Need everyone to turn up on the night and support the team like they did fro the Sheffield matches
  17. Think you stick to song writing Al - loved your 'Year of the Cat'
  18. I've spent nearly 20 mins thinking about this and no I can't think of anyone
  19. Might have gone along to this tomorrow but as the Redcar team seems to be uncertain, based on the above, will just sit and watch updates
  20. Spot on Baba. Where would Blobby be without a rumour and diverting attention away from the monarchs particulalry the Monarch who likes a good swally. But then again who cares
  21. Thanks to the 4s Glasgow try out a Monday night. Hopefully crowd will turn up as they did for the Tuesday night fixtures against Sheffield and also hope weather is kind. Really worried about this one. Kauko hasn't been here since 2013 and changes have since been made to the track and Hynek is coming back from injury. I've no doubt both will settle in eventually but two newcomers plus a guest for Nick could result in problems especially if jack holder takes a liking to the ashfield shale. if Richard and Aaron keep up their recent form and scoring we shpuld be ok but will also need viktor to ride like he did last week when he passed Ulrich O in a stunning ride. can see Plymouth getting a point but tigers to win, just.
  22. Looks like a good signing to me. He is 35. In 2013 he rode 8 matches for Belle Vue in the EL and averaged 6.29 including BPs and 11 matches for Leicester in the PL and averaged 8.33 including BPs. He currently rides for Griparna in Sweden as well as in Finland.
