I trust the whole ranger celtic thing is just banter? No matter think its great that the club are giving funds/rent to another club that is in need of money. Getting back to Glasg0w 2016. read various ideas, permutations for potential team, lots tongue in cheek (hopefully) and others showing immense insight? So a serious question if people have been given the info why are they posting it on facebook/here? presumably the owners have not announced these 'signings' for a reason? If so they must be annoyed that someone has leaked the 'signings'. or have the leaks been leaked to get fans reaction - I want james back - or have they been leaked to see who leaks info? Whatever, please please NO Fisher! Am away for a sit down and a leak!

Would imagine most Edinburgh fans would be sad if Justin doesn't come back, after all you did rescue his career.
-
James wouldn't fit and I don't see them not signing him

Sorry Fisher has too many issues for me. Visa problems for him and family; doesn't look for his partner; sadly on the way down. Can we not stick by a few riders, get consistency, build team spirit, riders who are good with the fans/kids/sponsors - so agree with Richard and Aaron. Also think James showed total commitment and he now knows what it takes to ride in both EL and PL so he should be able to understand better what it takes with the travelling, sorting out engines, etc. if we did go for a top heavy team I would get Nick back if possible. No doubt more rumours will emerge after Sunday's practice! Thank god its fantasy; it would finish in the bottom half of the league if not worse - three 3pt men AND cookie dropping his average!

lets get this back to who is likely to be riding for the tigers in 2016 and who we'd like to see taking into account it looks like Sundays again - in other words no Anders Thomsen, Craig Cook, Max Fricke, etc! Wouldn't it be nice if you could retain your 7 riders for the following year, chopping and changing can't help with team spirit , sponsors, etc. But believe its still 42.5 for team building which means we have to lose a rider or two from our current seven - there average come to 46.9. Richard, Aaron and James are musts - all getting better, all passionate about the tigers, good with the fans, don't need to fly them in and out of the country and good from a marketing/sponsors point of view. With the NL fast track rider at no.7 that would mean 4 riders 25.49 leaving 17.01 to accommodate 3 other riders. The 4th rider is crucial as he will be the 3rd heat leader - would Nick come back. Despite some critics on here his real average, fromSpeedway Star is 8.31, with his official average from BSPA 7.91. So yes I'd have him back - just need the track to be prepared more consistent at home. That brings you up to 33.4, so 9.1 for 2 riders. Suggestions?

This is gonna run and run basically Edinburgh fans are being told what the letter really meant, they obviously can't be trusted to read it for themselves - god they might think Glasgow have a point! For those not on facebook give it a go its got even more 'interesting' views. someone suggested that Wolbert cheated the Glasgow public last year and edinburgh has benefitted - does that make him a 'benefits cheat'? as if anyone from Edinburgh would do such a thing! Surly the Daily Mail should investigate?

I agree Victor was totally unpredictable but he has proved he can pass, a stunning move around Ostergaard comes to mind. yet in other races he followed people around. Just wonder if track preparation has something to do with it. Aaron and Richard are experienced and can adjust set-ups but Vic is still learning and perhaps he felt unsure how to adapt???/ Re-Fisher and PK assume this is Stewart up to his tricks again. telling people don't tell anyone but we've got ?????? lined up for next year. We must Have Richard and Aaron back both are in the top 10 of the averages for 2015 and why spend money buying them if they weren't going to be used for more than one year, from there on its down to averages and who'll fit, who'll travel and who isn't riding abroad on a sunday.

My goodness that was close, but congratulations to all 7 riders and the manager. pity about speakers failing in the stand but didn't seem to matter to the crowd they were really up for it. well done in getting them working again, so glad we heard James, Richard and Aaron at the end! proud to be a tiger

Glasgow V Plymouth Play Off Qf
SharpenRake replied to Gazc's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Think crowd was affected by the road race in the city causing havoc with traffic, still a lot better than last year. Hope they raised a lot of money for the BEN fund. Saw lots of tenners in the buckets. Now on to Somerset can't wait -
If Glasgow were to race on a Friday, if teams wanted they could visit Sheffield Thursday, Edinburgh Friday and Berwick Saturday. The other 3 dayer Glasgow Friday, Workington Saturday and Newcastle Sunday. Sorted!

Glasgow V Plymouth Play Off Qf

The weather is fine, a bit chillier than recently so track shouldn't dry out - looking forward to a good meeting and hopefully a tigers win by around 8 points. -
Glasgow V Plymouth Play Off Qf

Result tonight Plymouth 46 - Glasgow 44. well done lads! Hopefully we should make it through but anything can happen in speedway. who thought Somerset would be able to defend a 8 point lead at Edinburgh tonight especially when their lead had been wiped out by heat 2. -
Premier League Fours?
SharpenRake replied to Jonas Sturebrand's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Certainly Craig Cook deserves a lot of credit but after 3 duck eggs and being 2 points down to Somerset, Heat 14's win by Riss looks like the turning point. -
Rebels V Monarchs 29/9/2015

It wasn't just on the back straight! The Glasgow stand love him in a twisted sort of way -
Aggressive paranoia, methinks! can't help wondering if they have stopped English interpretation in schools. I said 'good to see you have borrowed another rider at no 1'. Normal folk would read this as thank god we're not going with rider replacement or a junior rider but oh no he must be having a go cos everyone else thinks its ridiculous that we've used guests at no 1 for most of the season whether for Allen or Ulrich. if you want to think that that is up to you.

Margaret Vardy is definitely NOT Scottish. Just because we are known to like our curries, chips and beer doesn't mean every big woman is Scottish!!! -
waited a few days before posting, still disappointed. After hearing Gerry facenna's rallying speech I thought we're gonna do this. Then 60 seconds later it was all over! so well done to Moanrchs. However, disappointed that some think monarchs took there foot of the gas. if that was the case why bring in Branford for Garcia, why did cook burst a gut trying to pass Nick in heat 15 before knocking him of even though they would have won the match if he'd stayed in 3rd. Got to mention the Svein Kaasa ceremony brilliantly done and the crowd were superb with the minutes applause - the crowd must have been the biggest ever - it was difficult to walk round the stadium and the stand was full. finally well done to the dj for playing we are the champions when the monarchs were showing the trophy to there fans, some tracks don't even allow a lap of honour when the away team wins. Looking forward to next Sunday and hopefully we qualify for next stage of play-offs.
