Exactly. I can't believe iainb has basically criticised Chris for trying to win. -

Who 'wrote' the rules? Oxford didn't meet Redcar so let's use a different rule from the one used to determine the other semi. -

So he'll be missing a few meetings then. Or will he make a remarkable recovery. -

Both Edinburgh and Plymouth should be fined for putting out weak pairs. Worrall should be banned from riding as a guest for teams in the play-offs e.g. Edinburgh. -
Just a thought, are you davie's twin?

25.08.2023 Scunny v Glasgow League

Not sure how, when you seemed to realise that we would be struggling, that you then deem it an awful performance. We all knew that r/r wouldn't work and that Jamie Halder, thank you for taking the booking, wouldn't compensate for Ace. We also knew that we would be struggling for the bonus point particularly as the home leg was abandoned after Heat 11. Claus tried his guts out and deserved more points for his efforts and yet your comments suggest he didn't turn up! -

Don't think you can fault Claus's efforts. -
Just bringing this back to a Glasgow thread and something even funnier than all the posts above! The Scunthorpe v Tigers updates page has a post from a brand new 'member' called 'tiggers77' who posted "Tigers shocking away from home again. Excuses will come about R/R and (G) tonight but that only papers over the cracks, not been good enough away from home all season. We’ll never win anything unless some big changes are made." Thought it was worth sharing just to reassure decent Poole fans that they are not the only team who have fans that 'are not the full shilling'.

When you read the full article it does say it's hoped he will be able to ride for the Tigers and possibly from this Friday at Scunthorpe. -
Assets, you're having a laugh

Perhaps TigersPlus could start a GoFundMe fund raiser for Lee.

As I said before "give us peace!" It's like listening to a very old jukebox that's only got one record and it's even cracked. -

I thought Barker was excellent and as you say the stream was well worth the price. Well done to the Tigers and managing to cover for Marcin. -
No it wasn't. It was started as a 'rumour' at Armadale by an Edinburgh fan. Heard by a Workington fan who repeated it on here. Then the buying the league brigade chipped in - anything to have a go at Glasgow - and now it's proved to be a load of manure, like most things coming from the east- they've moved onto conspiracy theories about Marcin, despite a detailed post by his mechanic explaining the facts.

Reads just like a press release......... from the 1980s. But hey it seems to work for people in the Poole area -
Berwick Vs Glasgow 19/8/23
SharpenRake replied to Fozzie4388's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The only people that were dropping Lee were keyboard warriors. Cami Brown said on BSN recently that they would prefer to keep the 7 that started the season or words to that effect. Bomber has also come out in the Star and said he doesn't like teams chopping and changing. So let's stop all the nonsense and concentrate on supporting the team. -
I have to say that despite the score I enjoyed that last night. The crowd were up for it once again cheering the racing, donuts and wheelies. And the reaction to Bombers 15m handicap win was brilliant. Just a pity we can't build on this momentum and we have to wait a few weeks for our next home match.

Glasgow's second last home league fixture of the season and then it is the play-offs. Important for them to continue their winning ways. Glasgow will presumably line-up the same as last Friday. Berwick sadly have been unlucky with injuries over the season, but a win here and on Saturday night would bring them back into play-off contention. The Berwick web site advises that Jacob Hook comes back into the team and will ride at reserve with Steve Boxall moving into the team partnering Rory Schlein. Hans Andersen will also be making a welcome return. The weather forecast looks good for Friday so should be a good night's racing.
