  1. This is gonna run and run basically Edinburgh fans are being told what the letter really meant, they obviously can't be trusted to read it for themselves - god they might think Glasgow have a point! For those not on facebook give it a go its got even more 'interesting' views. someone suggested that Wolbert cheated the Glasgow public last year and edinburgh has benefitted - does that make him a 'benefits cheat'? as if anyone from Edinburgh would do such a thing! Surly the Daily Mail should investigate?
  2. I agree Victor was totally unpredictable but he has proved he can pass, a stunning move around Ostergaard comes to mind. yet in other races he followed people around. Just wonder if track preparation has something to do with it. Aaron and Richard are experienced and can adjust set-ups but Vic is still learning and perhaps he felt unsure how to adapt???/ Re-Fisher and PK assume this is Stewart up to his tricks again. telling people don't tell anyone but we've got ?????? lined up for next year. We must Have Richard and Aaron back both are in the top 10 of the averages for 2015 and why spend money buying them if they weren't going to be used for more than one year, from there on its down to averages and who'll fit, who'll travel and who isn't riding abroad on a sunday.
  3. My goodness that was close, but congratulations to all 7 riders and the manager. pity about speakers failing in the stand but didn't seem to matter to the crowd they were really up for it. well done in getting them working again, so glad we heard James, Richard and Aaron at the end! proud to be a tiger
  4. Didn't think Rangers had any season ticket holders or was that during the Green era!
  5. Think crowd was affected by the road race in the city causing havoc with traffic, still a lot better than last year. Hope they raised a lot of money for the BEN fund. Saw lots of tenners in the buckets. Now on to Somerset can't wait
  6. If Glasgow were to race on a Friday, if teams wanted they could visit Sheffield Thursday, Edinburgh Friday and Berwick Saturday. The other 3 dayer Glasgow Friday, Workington Saturday and Newcastle Sunday. Sorted!
  7. The weather is fine, a bit chillier than recently so track shouldn't dry out - looking forward to a good meeting and hopefully a tigers win by around 8 points.
  8. Result tonight Plymouth 46 - Glasgow 44. well done lads! Hopefully we should make it through but anything can happen in speedway. who thought Somerset would be able to defend a 8 point lead at Edinburgh tonight especially when their lead had been wiped out by heat 2.
  9. Certainly Craig Cook deserves a lot of credit but after 3 duck eggs and being 2 points down to Somerset, Heat 14's win by Riss looks like the turning point.
  10. PMSL. good to see you've borrowed a rider again rather than r/r. Supporters prefer 7 riders per team. I am sure he'll give you the sort of performance you deserve
  11. It wasn't just on the back straight! The Glasgow stand love him in a twisted sort of way
  12. Aggressive paranoia, methinks! can't help wondering if they have stopped English interpretation in schools. I said 'good to see you have borrowed another rider at no 1'. Normal folk would read this as thank god we're not going with rider replacement or a junior rider but oh no he must be having a go cos everyone else thinks its ridiculous that we've used guests at no 1 for most of the season whether for Allen or Ulrich. if you want to think that that is up to you.
  13. I am sorry our team did turn up, you clearly haven't looked at all the photos on the website. Good to see you've borrowed another rider at no.1
  14. I've had a dream - Alex harkness steps down as chair of BSPA but his final act is to ask all promoters to support speedway on a Friday at Glasgow as it will be good for british speedway!!!!!
  15. Margaret Vardy is definitely NOT Scottish. Just because we are known to like our curries, chips and beer doesn't mean every big woman is Scottish!!!
  16. waited a few days before posting, still disappointed. After hearing Gerry facenna's rallying speech I thought we're gonna do this. Then 60 seconds later it was all over! so well done to Moanrchs. However, disappointed that some think monarchs took there foot of the gas. if that was the case why bring in Branford for Garcia, why did cook burst a gut trying to pass Nick in heat 15 before knocking him of even though they would have won the match if he'd stayed in 3rd. Got to mention the Svein Kaasa ceremony brilliantly done and the crowd were superb with the minutes applause - the crowd must have been the biggest ever - it was difficult to walk round the stadium and the stand was full. finally well done to the dj for playing we are the champions when the monarchs were showing the trophy to there fans, some tracks don't even allow a lap of honour when the away team wins. Looking forward to next Sunday and hopefully we qualify for next stage of play-offs.
  17. Dear o dear o dear. Glasgow did not spend a fortune trying to buy a trophy - we have a nice local company called Belt-Up (how apt) trophies that supply them on a weekly basis - its called sponsorship. However, the owners did spend a fortune on buying and refurbishing the stadium including the land as well as 'purchasing' the speedway team - its called investment. we kindly loan you Anders Thomsen - its called assisting less fortunate clubs. if yo want to see why we want to meet Edinburgh again (don't think we will) look at the photos on the Glasgow web site - its called a crowd, a very big crowd
  18. Sarjeant has reached his level - your having a laugh. its his first full season in the premier league for goodness sake, new tracks, set ups etc We need a strong no1 who do you have in mind - tai woffinden!!!!!. this year the only riders with a higher average than Richard are Simon stead who lasted 6 matches, craig cook, Danny King, Ed Kennet, Josh, masters and Wolbert (I'm sure we'd love him back) . oh and by the way Aaron is currently 12th in the averages. So we keep Richard and Aaron - I totally agree with you there - how would you fit in a guy with a higher average. I wonder were you the guy that booed Steve Lawson at Exeter cos he didn't get double figures despite finishing top of the averages!
  19. No it doesnae. Garcia + Branford (extra ride if needed) will score what Clegg would have scored
  20. Seems everyone's waiting for the result of the 1st leg before predicting a monarchs win. King Jamie has the right idea liked his post on the Edinburgh v Glasgow topic
  21. https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway The PR team seem to know what they are doing; other promoters take note
  22. How much is the programme? if they put the price up I'm not going
  23. Was surprised there isn't a Edinburgh v Glasgow thread and then find its hidden amongst this one. seems totally logical
