  1. His dad got the same comments so hes developing into a tigers legend . I look forward to eddie kennett giving the tigers a start when we visit Rye House, don't want people to accuse him of being a gating tart
  2. Hope you are wrong. If Wells is forced to miss it that would mean Ryan Fisher as well and we could end up with whos got 4 riders that can make it on the day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. I think this was the type of meeting we all thought would be typical when the season started - top 4 scoring well and bottom 3 picking up the pieces. This was the first time it has happened and we still won comfortably in an entertaining match. It shows how well the bottom 3 have been riding and exceeding expectations so far. As has been said above the problem is with Nikes injury now he is at reserve so the quicker he gets back the better. That will take pressure of danny although as others have said he is one of the best no.7 in the country so one relatively poor match at home against a strength in depth team and when he had bike problems is not a problem. Well done Rene looked really quick but think Richard should have got MoM trophy I think some fans just take him for granted.
  4. Weather forecast a lot better for tomorrows 3pm start http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637197 click on Sunday
  5. Our first home match in July and hopefully the weather will play ball. Today's meant to be dry, overnight some showers and tomorrow ends up being dry. Both teams will want it on so perhaps we could delay the start, if necessary. Both teams look equally matched and the rockets have former hero kasper lykke in there side - is it pronounced 'like' ; 'likey' ; 'lukie', 'luka' or just kasper Anyway I'll go for a tigers win with rockets just missing out on a point.
  6. With Glasgow now hosting the first leg; how will things go?
  7. Whats this got to do with tonights match? Gaz and co were looking for photos from Blobby from the track today.
  8. Being an Aussie he should be a good swimmer so should do ok tonite
  9. I no we need guests the way speedway is run just now BUT last night Lassie Bjerre rode for Redcar against monarchs, tonite he rides for Glasgow agains t the moanarchs. Last night Branford rode for redcar against the Monarchs tonite he rides for the moanarchs against Glasgow There has to be a better way the only way we'll get 48 is if masters is stranded on the continent (that would never happen), Fishers bikes blow up (no offence); Kevin eats a burger; the Riss brothers think its too rissky to travel and even then we might just get a draw
  10. Can't see us getting close on Friday; a good time to go shopping , get your hair cut or even pay your 5 yearly visit to the dentist
  11. There should be a good number of us tigers fans there. A sensible bit of cooperation, thinking about the fans see it can be done 👍
  12. Just checking this is the Swindon Coventry thread? Anyway what a difference on sky tonight seeing 2 elite teams riding. can't understand why PL fans say there league is better when you can watch riders in the EL like danny King, Josh G and Rohan Tungate who all impressed tonight. Also good to see some Polish riders, you don't get them in the PL and certainly not riding at reserve. And the team managers, absolute quality comments from both of them.
  13. Look its simple. Speedway is like most sports. If you don't support a particular team or individual it can be boring. Seeing the unexpected for example Garcia beating fisher or beating your fiercest rivals or having a good time with 1000s of others is what most ordinary, new, young fans want and Glasgow delivers. There has also been good racing for the purest.
  14. I've said this on another thread. Last night's el match at lakeside was basically 2 pl teams with a gp rider at no 1. Presumably there was a huge crowd as it was a el fixture and so much better than a pl match 😳
  15. Hope the track dries out and the rain goes away! we suffered badly on Wednesday with the starts being sodden and the track being slick. I know it would cost a fortune to try and cover the whole track but would it not be a good idea to cover the starting area with a roller blind type cover from top of boundary wall down to the inside line? This would allow air in and stop track from sweating and allow the starts to be there normal grippy self. On to the match this will be tight Stead and berge could go through the card and sissis will dominate the reserves races so down to the Richie/rene pairing to come up with heat advantages. Just hope Nikke is back soon.
  16. As a neutral this all makes interesting reading. Seems to me two pl teams each with a grand prix rider took to the track and after a close meeting the away team won. Take away both grand prix riders and it would probably have been even closer. This couldn't be the way forward could it - sadly no as el fans wouldn't stand for it 😢
  17. Not sure this is the place for puerile comments about a politician but one thing you can guarantee, on this forum, is that people will have an opinion even if its not based on reality
  18. Hope cyclone and all the other moanarchs that suggested Rene wouldnae be riding eat some humble pie 🍰
  19. And I'm sure it will be easy to find a date for a re-run with both teams at full strength 😞
  20. You posted at 4.50pm with no indication the match was under any threat and then suddenly its off and then you come up with this. do you work part time writing speeches for politicians or something
  21. That must have been some cloudburst between 4.50pm and 5.18pm
