  1. Well 2 days later and people are still talking about the match. Well done promoters and riders. PS it was 54-30 to the tigers, incase you've joined this thread late
  2. Just in case people don't know the score today it was 54-30 to the Tigers
  3. From the favourable reports about the racing perhaps this is the way forward for British speedway. At the start of the season get 35 riders under contract and then clubs can select 7 to ride for them prior to each meeting. Team managers can then select using a horses for courses policy - a bit like Sheffield last night. Can't see how it would fail 😜
  4. Pogo1's point is that Mitchell Davey rode for Monarchs in place of Bewley but can't ride for Tigers in place of Ayres and you point out that Ayres average is higher than Bewley, so why can't he ride???? Seriously??? Hopefully it'll come back and bite you on the bum
  5. Why would you go and buy the green sheets when you can get them for free from the BSPA web site
  6. Presumably the same reason why Mitchell Davey could guest for Dan Bewley Presumably the same reason why Mitchell Davey could guest for Dan Bewley
  7. Scoosh for the monarchs. Berge hates armadale and don't expect young Greaves to score many so you are up against a 4 man team
  8. Can Glasgow continue there good form, they did win earlier at Redcar but the Bears are stronger. Also Danny Ayres is out with concussion so who can replace him? perhaps monarchs fans can advise. Would Mitchell Davey (nice lad) be eligible or maybe we could try Dan Bewley. I'm sure stuart will have somethin up his sleeve and will double check with the BSPA, the management committee, Cyclone and the referee. Think after the euphoria of last night we'll go down by 8 points but hopefully I'm wrong.
  9. Well no one seems to have started a thread, so .................... Can Glasgow continue there good form, they did win earlier at Redcar but the Bears are stronger. 10. Well that was a surprise. With bandits reaching the 4s final beating monarchs in the process I thought there top four were on form. Throw in there recent home results, beating monarchs easily and I'd have settled for a point so 4 was brilliant. Typical we get nike back and we lose Danny. Get well soon Danny.
  11. I think the main problem could be money! The pairs and Cardiff followed by the 2 day 4's especially the travelling costs must eventually hit even the most loyal fan.
  12. Good to see both teams with there own riders and no r/r - see it can be done. can't help thinking Berwick are now stronger than when they started the season, as are redcar who we meet on Thursday - the luck of the draw! Anyway hope we get a point but not so sure particularly after bandits performance in the 4s on Saturday
  13. with the disappointment of the pairs and now the 4's and even 4's individual the next in line is the KO cup. Will the Tigers riders be under even more pressure especially against our nearest and well nearest. Nike should be back and hopefully will suffer no ill effects after our meetings at Berwick and redcar. Indeed this could be a defining week for the tigers. I'm crossing everything.
  14. Just going by the updates but why an interval if raining or threat of rain? yet again a meeting cut short and perhaps without an interval a few more heats???
  15. Sorry but we all know what the BSPA site says that's why we are discussing it albeit on the wrong thread. Glasgow facebook says bach; Pogo1 says bach, fans of every other team believe for once the bspa and I and other Glasgow fans want reassured that its bach. repeating what we already know gets us no where
  16. I admit my days of standing out in the pouring rain to watch a speedway match have long gone
  17. Thank you. I wind up people just like everyone else but when it comes to making decisions about going to meetings I think mischief making is out of order. the sport needs all the fans it can get. the 4s could generate much needed funds for clubs as its a shared event. we should all be trying to make sure it works and that it attracts as big a crowd as possible. It will only do that if its promoted properly and fans are given the right info. I just hope you are right Pogo1
  18. it was announced on Sunday that Bach would be riding in the 4s
  19. His dad got the same comments so hes developing into a tigers legend . I look forward to eddie kennett giving the tigers a start when we visit Rye House, don't want people to accuse him of being a gating tart
  20. I think this was the type of meeting we all thought would be typical when the season started - top 4 scoring well and bottom 3 picking up the pieces. This was the first time it has happened and we still won comfortably in an entertaining match. It shows how well the bottom 3 have been riding and exceeding expectations so far. As has been said above the problem is with Nikes injury now he is at reserve so the quicker he gets back the better. That will take pressure of danny although as others have said he is one of the best no.7 in the country so one relatively poor match at home against a strength in depth team and when he had bike problems is not a problem. Well done Rene looked really quick but think Richard should have got MoM trophy I think some fans just take him for granted.
