  1. 16 points down on aggregate after heat 4 and we win by 4, someone wake me I must be dreaming. Very well done to every Tiger.
  2. Just a reminder, Glasgow v Oxford tomorrow night 7.30pm. Sorry for interrupting the thread.
  3. Anything you say Richard, apart from the bit you say you are a Tigers fan. You might go along to home meetings but in no sense are you a fan.
  4. Are you real? Photos showing happy riders and fans posing for photos should only be taken if you win a title????? You'll be saying next that the Glasgow fans shouldn't stand up, cheer, wave flags and toot airhorns after each race. My god how dare they and the riders actually enjoy themselves. No wonder Leicester is up for sale with fans like you!
  5. They went out to thank their fans that travelled down despite dodgy weather forecast. Its called appreciating the people that help pay their wages and it's about genuine fans appreciating the effort and entertainment the Tigers provide whether home or away.
  6. Oxford were offered this Friday, nothing unusual in that after all it's Glasgow's approved race night. But Oxford declined. So yes obviously Oxford intervened by refusing to come. And yes someone capitulated and agreed to the apparent deadline being moved back. We now know that if we qualify for the final and you offer us a date we can say sorry we can't come as Lee has promised Mrs Ford to sort out her plumbing and the date has been in the diary for weeks
  7. Excuse me Glasgow offered this Friday and Oxford declined. Glasgow have bent over backwards to get these fixtures completed within an apparent deadline. A 'deadline' that doesn't appear in the rules but seems to have been mentioned by Rob Godfrey in passing. They are meant to be money making matches yet Glasgow agreed to race both their home fixtures off night to the potential detriment of their business. Your implication that Glasgow got the rules changed for their benefit is ludicrous. If they had that much clout they would have insisted that Oxford turn up on Friday and if they didn't claim the win.
  8. BSPL web site previews the match and provides team details. REDCAR: Danny King, Danyon Hume, Connor Bailey, Justin Sedgmen, Erik Riss, Jason Edwards, Luke Harrison.GLASGOW: Chris Harris, Tom Brennan, Benjamin Basso, Claus Vissing r/r, Vadim Tarasenko, Lee Complin, Jack Smith. Will it go ahead? What's the weather like in Poole? Redcar to win with Erik scoring a bundle of points.
  9. Just had a horrendous thought, what if the Grand Prix was rained off.
  10. See last post on previous page for link to photos/videos. I wish we hadn't cancelled it so we could have watched Nichols being interviewed by BSN standing in the rain as his designer shirt shrinks around him. I wonder if he would then be annoyed it hadn't been cancelled.
  11. Glasgow Tigers Speedway Discussion Group | Facebook I've just sat and read this thread. When will people realise it doesn't matter what the weather is/was like in Cumbernauld, Glasgow City Centre, Manchester, Poole, south side of Glasgow; the meeting was to be raced at Ashfield. The link should show videos/photo of rain at Ashfield posted from the track. See first post and then scroll down for videos.
  12. The simplest thing to do is for Glasgow to go to Redcar and lose. That way everyone will be happy. The season fizzles out and clubs and riders lose out financially. But maybe, just maybe this will be the catalyst to do away with play offs.
  13. Surely they are 'protected' in that they have priority over other leagues. So Edwards would have to ride for Sheffield and Redcar would be allowed a guest.
  14. Can I ask what was the thinking giving Archie heat 15 last night?
  15. Well done to the Tigers for finishing with an away win. With 2 ex tigers in the team it was never in doubt - once a tiger always a tiger! Also best wishes to Charles Wright.
  16. Both teams missing riders and for very good reasons, as has been explained patiently by many folk earlier. From a Glasgow point of view it provides an opportunity for some of our team to get vital laps around the excellent Redcar track prior to the play-offs. Can't wait!
  17. Well said about Vladimir. He is good but some people are falling for Poole fans hype. They are very good at saying how good the opposition is and then praising Poole riders for winning so easily! Vadim will take a few rides to master Ashfield and who knows what will happen away from home.
  18. You clearly didn't watch the match or all the activity in the pits
  19. Three current Glasgow riders help destroy ex Glasgow managers dream. Nae luck Stuart.
  20. A crucial match featuring the two best teams in the league and available on BSN, so Poole fans can watch some proper speedway (I reckon 2 minutes max ).
