  1. Feel sorry for the moanarchs. The weather forecast is ok for the first time this year at Armadale and they have a meaningless fixture and no prospect of any visiting fans. if it had been a play-off match I'm sure some tigers fans who can't get to Somerset would have come through.
  2. This weeks quiz 1. Can Glasgow get revenge for there two defeats by Somerset in the league? 2. What do Somerset do around heat 8 when they suddenly start to hammer the opposition? 3. Will Zach be back and if not who guests? 4. Can Glasgow use t/r (Somerset won't need to) or does common sense operate in the cup? 5. Are any Rebels fans coming up for the 2nd leg? 6. Who will get into the final?
  3. Remember the league cup. Does anyone know the other semi finalists? Well for Tigers fans this is the start of a run of important fixtures and lets hope there recent form continues. The first leg should have been last week but it was turned into a league fixture and the tigers won by a thumping 51-39 which would have made Sunday's match a bit of a formality.BUT this is speedway and things can change very quickly. I expect and hope for a tigers win but everyone says it, on paper worky are a good team so we need to hit them hard from heat 1. Tigers will line up: 1. Richard 2. Nike 3. Richie. 4. Rene. 5. Aaron 6. Coty 7. Danny TM Stewart D WORKINGTON 'Thomas Armstrong' COMETS 1 Ricky Wells © 2 Mason Campton 3 Kenneth Hansen 4 Rasmus Jensen 5 Claus Vissing 6 Adam Roynon 7 Matt Williamson TM - Tony Jackson. SCB Referee - Jim McGregor.
  4. Edinburgh fans don't know what fair weather means. It's rained virtually every Friday this year. But I'm sure they'll make you welcome when you travel up to support the panthers
  5. You actually think that both teams will be at full strenght at the end of October and that people will actually turn up to a damp dismal Armadale to watch
  6. I thought Glasgow were doing you a favour just in case you needed to win on Friday to qualify.
  7. The lads got a long successful career ahead of him if all goes well so if he's not 100 % he should follow doctors advice and comeback strong next year
  8. Spot the Tigers fan https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway/photos/a.722111727804017.1073741829.695900720425118/1446766112005238/?type=3&theater There might be 26 at the semi final
  9. Jenga hope you enjoyed it 😊 not bad for just 25 fans 😉
  10. With all the results tonight it puts up in the air whos gonna finish 2nd-6th in the PL provided they keep the date for deciding the play-off teams - 19 september ?. So Worky need to win and if so they'll probably make the play-offs, Glasgow need a point to have any chance of finishing second tho Newcastle might run a double header to get there 3 home matches in within the timescale and if so they look favourites for second. The play offs might be unfair but they have kept alive a whole lot of fixtures that would otherwise have been dead in the water (apologies to moanarchs I'm no having a dig about your unfortunate rain offs)
  11. Surely all teams will have to come to Armadale it's just that the matches will have to be played 'after' the play offs. Thought teams got fined if any matches don't get played?
  12. Gaps!!!! The stands virtually full by 2.30pm and the only gaps I've seen are in the sponsors seats right in the centre and that cos they've decided to watch from the hospitality units. With tonights match off and no league match on sunday I reckon at least 100 tigers fans at Workington and for the LC semi it will be even more.
  13. I am sure that despite young Bewley not being fit Edinburgh will try incredibly hard to get this match on despite the weather forecast
  14. No one has started a thread which is a bit of a surprise. For an end of season fixture its actually got a lot riding on it as the result could help decide the final play-off positions. Both teams hopefully at full strength with Edinburgh apparently using Fisher at no.2. Gonna be close with young bewley being the difference, I'm afraid Edinburgh 1 Sam Masters © 2 Ryan Fisher 3 Erik Riss 4 Mark Riss 5 Kevin Wolbert 6 Max Clegg 7 Dan Bewley Glasgow 1. Richard 2. Nike 3 Aaron 4 Rene 5 Richie 6 Coty 7 Danny
  15. so could Glasgow; in the semis of the KO Cup and League Cup
  16. Still can't quite believe yesterday's meeting. The Sheffield riders looked smooth enough, no hitting holes or locking up. So lets be clear this wasn't a doctored trick track. The rain on Saturday seems to have provided a really fast surface which you would have thought would have helped Sheffield but Glasgow were so fast. Everyone did there job. Both reserves got a win and 3 thirds. And the crowd loved it - cheering and waving flags. God, I'm happy 😁
  17. Weather forecast looks good so after some rain yesterday the track should have been well watered. Should be a cracker with a win for the tigers 😏
  18. I bet a good few fans last night thought, as I forecast , can we no stop the redcar match and get on with Plymouth. it would have been interesting to see what the score would have been over 15 heats - a wee bit closer than Redcar!
  19. Hope all goes well with no injuries or delays. Important for Edinburgh to get 2 wins to keep them high up the table and a better draw in the play offs. If they are running out of time will ref allow 1st match to be declared once Redcar can't win?
  20. Spot on assessment. Think Glasgow's reserves will outscore Sheffields so should be a home win. Our heat leader trio had an off night in the EL tonight, hopefully they and there bikes all ok for sunday
  21. Whilst looking for the mouse with its clogs on trying to climb the stair , I noticed the heading for this whole thread is wrong. Its not like paulco to get things wrong
  22. I've tried hard but can't find any mention of scumbags but your right we won't be supporting you in this years cup competitions mainly cos you've been knocked out both times by the tigers 😊
