  1. No idea. We still have to fit in Workington with Fridays league match being cancelled presumably because they didn't want to hold 2 matches in 2 days. And perhaps they were keeping Friday free in case Thursday was rained off. 🌧️🌨️🌩️ the current forecast looks good for tomorrow but it rained for part of today when it should have been dry so fingers crossed ☀️
  2. The Tigers did well to restrict Panthers to a 10 point lead but the main issue will be th track and weather. The track took a lot of rain prior to Saturday's individual on Saturday and even some rain during the meeting. Today it has been lashing down with rain forecast for tomorrow night. Lets pray the forecast is wrong what with Ipswich wanting to run there leg of the final on Thursday. sadly dont see the Tigers getting through mainly due to Chris Harris, great rider and team man, he clealry really wanted to win the chamionship individual on saturday with some breathtaking fence scraping moves and i can see him going through the card unbeaten although hope i'm wrong.
  3. Throw in club assets Aaron,Jack and your favourite Richard and we could run 2 teams with the riders you have mentioned
  4. And I'm sure the track will be prepared exactly the same way as for tonight
  5. Just hope belle vue and wolves don't decide to rerun tonight's rained off match on Sunday otherwise Glasgow will probably be told that Richard lawson will have to ride for Wolverhampton as he was guesting for them tonight 😋
  6. I know l've been a bit sarcastic recently over the state of British speedway but well done to the Tigers and our honorary tiger James. Thanks also to jenga for his comments just what Sarj needed 😁
  7. Don't think any Glasgow fan wants us to go up but if we do it will be because as you say there might not be many teams left to form a decent championship. Classic case of 'top' division manipulating things for there benefit 😠
  8. Really 🤔 who would have thought it 😱 Have you not read any of the above posts 🙁
  9. Can't help thinking this is proof that our promotional team, despite being awfully nice blokes, have no clout where it matters. Looks as if we are also about to get shafted when it comes to next season. Rumours suggest a 12 team Premiership, racing only on Mondays and Thursdays - probably the existing 8 plus winner of promotion play-off which is likely to be Sheffield plus Lakeside (licence on ice). Have also read that based on geography if nothing else, Ipswich and Peterborough are likely to move up. That leaves Glasgow, Edinburgh (rumours of licence going on ice for a year), Berwick, Newcastle (threat of closure in this weeks Star), Redcar, Scunthorpe (well done for keeping on going despite poor crowds), Leicester, Workington (virtually certain to close) as being contenders for the Championship. So only 8 teams with possibly up to 2 closing or moving down to the NL. The only chance of NL teams moving up would be reducing the points limit/standard of racing and I can't see teams like Eastbourne wanting to travel up to Glasgow and Edinburgh. So whatever happens Glasgow and the other Championship teams will be sacrificed to ensure a few 'superstars' can ride in the UK. Can really see the Facennas chucking it and renting the stadium to anyone daft enough to try and run speedway in a professional manner.
  10. See the Glasgow Supporters Club have had to cancel their bus, then mini bus, to Newcastle due to lack of interest. If it had been held in may when it should have been raced Newcastle would have had 100s travelling down from Glasgow . As they say a lose lose situation
  11. Well done just a month to late. We were meant to play the winners of diamonds comets on 6 may. Quite frankly Glasgow should have been given a bye. As it is all the other teams have been kept waiting and we are running key matches in poor weather and when all the kids are back at school total farce
  12. Congratulations to Sheffield. They finished top and thankfully won the play offs. With the loss of Josh things could have gone pear shaped which would have been a travesty and it's why I dislike using play offs to determine the league champions. Also well done to Simon Stead
  13. At this rate we will have tried to race on every day of the week this season, one other advantage of owning your own stadium. Does nothing for continuity and makes it difficult to get people to come on a regular basis. Just hope the weather plays ball.
  14. As I said on another post when the date was announced a pity that what was meant to be a showcase money spinner and we have to host it on a Tuesday night. Congratulations to Sheffield and hope all riders that crashed are ok
  15. I think decent intelligent and won't be bullied sums up justere
  16. Time for the fans riders volunteers and management to all rally round and rattle Sheffield's cage. I'll settle for 100% commitment and may the best team win
