  1. I think you'll find posters from Berwick scunthorpe and other English teams have also posted there views not just Glasgow fans. I take it the dinner dance will feature chips with everything 🍟
  2. At this rate we will have tried to race on every day of the week this season, one other advantage of owning your own stadium. Does nothing for continuity and makes it difficult to get people to come on a regular basis. Just hope the weather plays ball.
  3. As I said on another post when the date was announced a pity that what was meant to be a showcase money spinner and we have to host it on a Tuesday night. Congratulations to Sheffield and hope all riders that crashed are ok
  4. I think decent intelligent and won't be bullied sums up justere
  5. Time for the fans riders volunteers and management to all rally round and rattle Sheffield's cage. I'll settle for 100% commitment and may the best team win
  6. As another poster mentioned they thought they had fixed the problem and so they hadn't warmed up the other bike
  7. Yes you are reading to much into it. He is a belle vue rider riding in the nl championship representing the belle vue Colts. Edinburgh gave him his first opportunity so of course he mentioned them. Bit surprised he didn't mention steve Lawson but he never mentioned his dad either. I'm sure if danny King wins the championship riders meeting representing Ipswich he will thank Leicester 😯
  8. Unlike Gazc, totally disagree about your snide quip about Lawson. Firstly if he hadn't beaten Cook in the fastest time by an opposition rider in heat 1 and won his next two despite being on Aaron's bike in one of them there wouldn't have been a 'pressure situation'. Secondly he was on Ryan macdonalds bike in his forth for goodness sake. Well done Ryan for helping out. So Mr Young away and think of other excuses for the monarchs bottling it at home last Friday
  9. What planet are you on. Do you get commission for every reply to your posts? We're replacing Tom perry an experienced reserve and jack Smith considered good enough to ride for belle vue with Alfie bowtell a keen inexperienced rider and Ryan a nice kid who can't gate for toffee
  10. Sadly the teams in the championship are being manipulated again by the 'top' division. Teams left with the choice of moving up, if asked, or staying and having only a few teams to race against. The next thing will be no loan fees to be paid to championship teams whose asset rides for a Premier team
  11. Whilst the current forecast is for light rain I'd not be too worried. The track can take a lot of rain providing it's not been soaked daily beforehand. The forecast for today is mainly sunshine with max temperatures of 16C so the base should be OK even if the forecast for Sunday is accurate
  12. Don't want to use up bandwidth by repeating your 'away from home' careful analysis but in case its evaded you Richard Lawson 11 at Sheffield, Richie Worrall 4, just saying
  13. Just wonder why his relationship has been on a knife edge for a while now? Any way not bad scoring tonight 14 from 5 and helps knock Swindon out of the Cup. Now if he does that on Tuesday ................
  14. Indeed, you do wonder. Some fans keep mentioning something that happened at Berwick as being the time things started to go pear shaped. If so what did the management and riders do to sort it out. The facennas seem to be decent people but if we don't win the cup and I can't see how we will, there could be a big clear out and I don't just mean riders
  15. Feel for the owners. Racing the second leg on a Tuesday night was never going to be a money spinner as I said in a earlier post. After this result I worry about the likely crowd. Can save there money for the KO cup 🤕🤒
  16. Richard 11 v Josh 11 James 10 v Jan 11 So only two Glasgow riders managed to match there opposite numbers and one was a guest! Thanks James Also it was always going to be difficult for Alfie so thanks for accepting the booking
  17. Someone tell the Glasgow heatleaders the play offs don't count for next years average
  18. Sadly can't see any Glasgow fan attending. What with the 3 recent matches, the riders championship on Sunday and play off second leg money will be tight. Throw in the dodgy weather.... Edit to be fair the weather forecast doesn't look too bad
  19. You have to hope that Richard and Aaron score what they did in the meeting in May 2017 otherwise it won't matter where they put r/r. Richie is the potential problem, scoring wise, at Sheffield. So I would have Richard, r/r, Dan, Richie, Aaron, James and Alfie. My point about r/r at 2 was that Dan could potentially maximise his r/r ride by getting it in heat 8. With r/r at 5 , Dan won't get an 'easy' r/r ride being out against at least one heat leader in every potential race (heats 4, 6, 9, and 13) and as I've said before our reserves will be riding together in at least 3 heats, two of which will be against heat leaders. Just think the way were lined up puts tremendous pressure on Dan, who is still young and inexperienced as well as coming back from injury, and James who has had probably only one good meeting this year. Anyway hopefully I'm wrong and Stuart is right
  20. For this match I'd put r/r at 2. Would give Dan a chance in heat 8 being up against Sheffields no. 2 and 2 reserves. Also means one of our reserves, the only other option for r/r, would be against a Sheffield reserve in heat 11. Also means a reserve out in heat 1 can get a feel for the track prior to heat 2
