  1. As already said look at the Glasgow website to see overtaking and different lines. Glasgow is a very fast track so some races can be strung out when you have premier riders racing against national league type riders but when riders of similar ability are on track you tend to get close racing. Heard no complaints since the new terracing went in earlier this year and the view from the new 4th bend terracing is brilliant. Capacity not a problem what with Edinburgh fans all going to there dinner dance 🍞🍟💁
  2. Don't think any Glasgow fan wants us to go up but if we do it will be because as you say there might not be many teams left to form a decent championship. Classic case of 'top' division manipulating things for there benefit 😠
  3. Really 🤔 who would have thought it 😱 Have you not read any of the above posts 🙁
  4. Can't help thinking this is proof that our promotional team, despite being awfully nice blokes, have no clout where it matters. Looks as if we are also about to get shafted when it comes to next season. Rumours suggest a 12 team Premiership, racing only on Mondays and Thursdays - probably the existing 8 plus winner of promotion play-off which is likely to be Sheffield plus Lakeside (licence on ice). Have also read that based on geography if nothing else, Ipswich and Peterborough are likely to move up. That leaves Glasgow, Edinburgh (rumours of licence going on ice for a year), Berwick, Newcastle (threat of closure in this weeks Star), Redcar, Scunthorpe (well done for keeping on going despite poor crowds), Leicester, Workington (virtually certain to close) as being contenders for the Championship. So only 8 teams with possibly up to 2 closing or moving down to the NL. The only chance of NL teams moving up would be reducing the points limit/standard of racing and I can't see teams like Eastbourne wanting to travel up to Glasgow and Edinburgh. So whatever happens Glasgow and the other Championship teams will be sacrificed to ensure a few 'superstars' can ride in the UK. Can really see the Facennas chucking it and renting the stadium to anyone daft enough to try and run speedway in a professional manner.
  5. Only a few days until thus really important event and very few recent posts. Is anyone going apart from Sheffield fans?
  6. See the Glasgow Supporters Club have had to cancel their bus, then mini bus, to Newcastle due to lack of interest. If it had been held in may when it should have been raced Newcastle would have had 100s travelling down from Glasgow . As they say a lose lose situation
  7. Well done just a month to late. We were meant to play the winners of diamonds comets on 6 may. Quite frankly Glasgow should have been given a bye. As it is all the other teams have been kept waiting and we are running key matches in poor weather and when all the kids are back at school total farce
  8. Congratulations to Sheffield. They finished top and thankfully won the play offs. With the loss of Josh things could have gone pear shaped which would have been a travesty and it's why I dislike using play offs to determine the league champions. Also well done to Simon Stead

  10. I think you'll find posters from Berwick scunthorpe and other English teams have also posted there views not just Glasgow fans. I take it the dinner dance will feature chips with everything 🍟
  11. At this rate we will have tried to race on every day of the week this season, one other advantage of owning your own stadium. Does nothing for continuity and makes it difficult to get people to come on a regular basis. Just hope the weather plays ball.
  12. As I said on another post when the date was announced a pity that what was meant to be a showcase money spinner and we have to host it on a Tuesday night. Congratulations to Sheffield and hope all riders that crashed are ok
  13. I think decent intelligent and won't be bullied sums up justere
  14. Time for the fans riders volunteers and management to all rally round and rattle Sheffield's cage. I'll settle for 100% commitment and may the best team win
  15. As another poster mentioned they thought they had fixed the problem and so they hadn't warmed up the other bike
  16. Yes you are reading to much into it. He is a belle vue rider riding in the nl championship representing the belle vue Colts. Edinburgh gave him his first opportunity so of course he mentioned them. Bit surprised he didn't mention steve Lawson but he never mentioned his dad either. I'm sure if danny King wins the championship riders meeting representing Ipswich he will thank Leicester 😯
  17. Unlike Gazc, totally disagree about your snide quip about Lawson. Firstly if he hadn't beaten Cook in the fastest time by an opposition rider in heat 1 and won his next two despite being on Aaron's bike in one of them there wouldn't have been a 'pressure situation'. Secondly he was on Ryan macdonalds bike in his forth for goodness sake. Well done Ryan for helping out. So Mr Young away and think of other excuses for the monarchs bottling it at home last Friday
  18. What planet are you on. Do you get commission for every reply to your posts? We're replacing Tom perry an experienced reserve and jack Smith considered good enough to ride for belle vue with Alfie bowtell a keen inexperienced rider and Ryan a nice kid who can't gate for toffee
  19. Sadly the teams in the championship are being manipulated again by the 'top' division. Teams left with the choice of moving up, if asked, or staying and having only a few teams to race against. The next thing will be no loan fees to be paid to championship teams whose asset rides for a Premier team
