Lakeside v Glasgow Friday 14th
SharpenRake replied to TonyE's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Could lakeside be the first team to have 3 home meetings in the same day. At this rate tonight's match will finish tomorrow and then they have two in the evening -

Look, all Glasgow fans want lakeside to qualify at Edinburgh expense but calling Claus a lunatic isn't helping your cause. -

Must win? For sentimental reasons yes but a draw tonight and 2 wins at rye would get you in the play-offs -

Good to see Richard a Glasgow asset scoring well against us, almost but not quite like Rory Schlein when he guested for us earlier in the season -

He even borrowed Jordan Stewarts bike against the moanarchs and clearly it was an ex-cookie bike as he swept by the opposition with ease -

Can't see the Tigers spoiling the Hammers emotional departure from Lakeside. An away point wouldn't be out of the question though. Also good luck to the hammers at there remaining league matches at Rye House -

Cookie can't win (well actually he can). on other threads he is slagged of for not being good enough for the Grand prix and he should forget having any further ambitions of being a Grand prix rider. Hes even slagged of for not being a real number one in the premiership. But now even though the rules allow it and there's little difference between the top tier and the Championship and with the vast majority of other riders doubling up/down we get a sarcastic comment worthy of an Edinburgh fan or The Scotsman -
Last night was proper speedway. Good atmosphere, under lights and fair dos to willie dishington who had the match done and dusted just after 9 despite the interval. Also the result was almost perfect just a shame that Jack had bike troubles. Just hope they all ride to there full potential on Thursday and Friday. It would be a shame if we did not get at least one more home match although I'd prefer two so the riders and fans can say there proper fairwells. A league trophy would be nice as well

Peterborough Panthers 2018

You must have been talking to the wrong people. Worrall cost us last year with his shenanigans and this year his constant 'I love Stuart and want him back or I'm not playing crap' which was ironic as Stuart wanted rid but the Facennas thought they should retain at least one rider. And just so your clear Stewart walked he wasn't got rid -
Have to agree that 2 minutes should mean up at start and ready to race. Last night at Glasgow with all 4 riders sitting back from the tapes and the clock ticking down to zero, the ref turned of the clock and riders from both sides but mainly Ipswich kept on gardening and in young kemps' case he was even off the bike, much to the annoyance of the crowd. Riders also tended to ignore the start marshall who tried to get them up to the tapes, again young kemp being a culprit. Some seemed to think I'm not going up to the tapes until the rest do! Why the ref didn't phone the team managers and sort it out who knows, maybe he did and still they ignored him? Having said that it was a great meeting.

I think it's brilliant what you are doing. Fans have being saying that the bikes are too fast and at armadale thats not the case. Must be great to invent a new sport slowway. I'm sure the crowds will flock in to see it

When I got home I Noticed you or a doppelganger were following the updates last night. Just wondered if you were at the match cos if not you missed a cracker. I think it's fair to say a lot of people were expecting Craig Cook as a tacky sub, but there you go.

As others have said, it was probably tongue in cheek. Why would you measure an engine of a rider whose two heat wins were in 2 of the 3 slowest times of the night. Don't get me wrong he's obviously a great young talent but as Jack showed in heat 14 so is he. As for the match loved it great racing and talking points. sad some Ipswich fans on here are moaning that there riders got overtaken and yet also moan when there is no overtaking at Ipswich. Talking of moaning its you know who next week
