  1. I totally agree and confidence is so important. Look at Ryan MacDonald, he can obviously ride a bike and last night when he did make the gate, possibly for the first time ever, he beat the impressive Jordan Palin (and Luke) in a time similar to all the other junior heat winning times but in the other races he was tentative going into the 1st bend. The thing is the management are in a difficult position you can imagine the comments from the tigers haters if Luke was replaced.
  2. Thanks, assumed it be in the testimonials section. Always like to read the updates and comments just to see if I was at the same match as the texter. Just to say for those relying on the updates the big screen did update the scores despite what the updates said. It was clearly announced that Heat 17 was a top scorers race but cookie wouldn't be riding as he wanted the 4 prizes to be won by riders that had supported him rather than him winning one of his prizes. Would thank all riders including the no limits youngsters with Jack Smith looking more comfortable than when last rode for us and Jordan Palin looking a real prospect.
  3. I agree it is no the most helpful way to publicise a meeting, however he did announce that the match is a 4 team tourney with teams from Glasgow, Belle Vue, Workington and Edinburgh and he listed the captains as Max Fricke, Sam Masters Ricky Wells and I assume he is riding and will be a captain. He added Steve Worrall, Dan Bewley , Justin Sedgmen and Richard Lawson. Tonight he's added Josh Pickering, Paul Starke, Palm Toft and Jorgensen that makes 12 riders with 4 to go. Not a bad line up so far although Jorgensen is a surprise as he hasn't ridden for any of the 4 teams before whilst the rest have. Anyway if you are a Tigers comets, aces or monarchs fan id think you would want to support a rider that has entertained you over the years
  4. That's a pity, lots of speedway fans were really hoping you would attend
  5. Glad to admit I was wrong. Excellent result.
  6. Like other Tigers fans am a bit worried about this match. People forget that Aaron was brilliant for the Tigers apart from the season he picked a Polish based engine tuner and remember he's a former track record holder. The only thing coty lacked was reliable good equipment, when he was on it he was superb. The others have all had decent performances and if they pop out the gate who knows. As others have said they've had competitive action and we've had individual meetings or just practise. Everyone seems to have forgotten cookie is coming back from injury and no one knows how he'll do and luke hasn't ridden competively for a while again due to injury. Hate to say it but can see us losing particularly if we have bike and tapes problems
  7. If wolves do win easily I'll be surprised basically they are a Championship team albeit with an excellent premiership rider at No.1

  9. Perhaps a deluded Workington fan heartbroken that they wouldn't be able to see Kyle riding this year conned Joe into vaping knowing that the repercussions - breaking team code of conduct, apparently abusing hotel manager and fire crew, causing hassle for those staying at the hotel, embarrassing Tigers management in front of sponsors/potential sponsors - would result in his dismissal.
  10. Honestly? If I had meant Jenga I would have said 'daft cop and no bad cop '
  11. That's a coincidence I've been watching an old movie 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'. Honestly reminds me of someone on here Either that or two people (good cop , bad cop ) using the same account
  12. I take it the doctor gave you the all clear, I'm pleased, honestly
  13. I think you should go and see a doctor, you're clearly not very well.
  14. Not to mention Somerset whose top 5 look stronger and more expensive than ours
  15. At last I can now understand why rasmus would want to leave Workington
  16. To be fair I really feel sorry for Laura Morgan, she has invested her compensation in good faith but sadly she has done so with the support of a lot of 'richards', fans with the IQ that makes Baldrick look like prime minister material, but then again …….. Anyway lets not beet about the bush I really hope that Workington beet Glasgow at Workington 65-15 and then Worky go bust whith Ramus saying things like I told you so. And why would we believe worky fans even if they are Honest or do important jobs, after all how could we cope without a programme especially when its sold by such nice people
  17. One major problem was the fixture list last year or rather the lack of weekly fixtures. we also raced on Sundsays, Tuesday night and even a Saturday afternoon as well as our preferred Fridays. The crowds for some meetings were good and then it seemed to be weeks before we raced again as a team. I think a lot of momentum was lost and with Cooks injury, racing at short notice and on off nights plus the weather, the crowd did seem to drop of. Hopefully the meetings will be held on a weekly basis and on the same day - presumably Fridays?
  18. Don't have time to check but assume you've posted the same on the Leicester and Somerset pages as the likes of Harris, Nicholls, Schlein, Worrall won't be cheap but then ironically Somerset, Leicester and Glasgow will all have young UK riders in there team. And will the 12.19 used up by Cook and Lawlor cost more than say Wilson-Dean (6.00) and Doolan (6.09) Await post from THJ to gives us the honest facts
  19. it is good to see someone who has only posted 28 times since joining in 2014 adding their educated opinion on Glasgow. Good to know we are worth talking about and that Laura Morgan has such an excellent fan base.
  20. That is absolute rubbish, he was on £20,000 a meeting allowing him to get some decent machinery which resulted in him starting to become competitive in the Grand prix and just failing in a run-off in the GP qualifier
