Exactly and this is what Cookie provides at Glasgow - see videos of heat 15 v Eastbourne and v Leicester on the Tigers website. -
It's not Glasgow fault that both Newcastle and Edinburgh decided to change there mind. In Leicester case they played hard ball over Sargeant so Glasgow has done the same. You have to wonder why Leicester didn't basically give Glasgow there money back or was Stuart just hoping Glasgow was going to give him a freebie.
-
Here we go again, a rider only wants to ride for Glasgow because they offered a deal he couldn't refuse. maybe it was the threat of a horse's head or maybe this is what happened. Stuart says to Sarg I'd like you to ride for the Lions what do you think? Sarg says thanks Stuart but I get on really well with people at Glasgow and my scoring seems to be better when I'm with them so Id rather ride for Glasgow if they want me. And do they want you? I don't know. well ask them I can't wait for ever but there's a contract now if you want it. Sarg to Cami is there a place for me at Glasgow cos I'd really like to come back. Cami, well yes. Sarg to Stuart Glasgow want me. Stuart to Cami I hear you've illegally spoken to Sarg about a team place, so if you want him you'll have to buy him. I know which option id go for.

Sorry are you saying Leicester wouldn't let us use Sarj unless we bought him ? Stuart Dickson kept that quiet

Last night we had 2 equally matched teams with the racing from the top drawer, if not higher, and people are going on about what should happen with riders and averages. We should be trying to emulate whats happened at Glasgow trackwise at other tracks. Good exciting racing has resulted in good enthusiastic crowds with riders getting standing ovations and that includes opposition riders as well. Then you watch the dross that appears on BT, the Facennas must be wondering what they are doing wrong.

Dodgy weather forecast for tonight's meeting. Edit just seen its off

Really enjoyed last night it was a cracker. Think we are getting spoiled with some of the racing and despite not firing on all cylinders we are still unbeaten at home. Sarj is a real worry and surprised he got all 4 rides. Young Connor was given all the hard rides at reserve but never gave up and was never far behind. As for the Lions Perks and Mountain looked good and Harris scored more than Worrall would have got. Douglas after his exclusion got better and better whilst nichols tried hard but couldn't handle the speed of cookie and Rasmus, both unbelievable. And well done to the track staff for preparing a fair track despite the heat of the passed few days.

So I was right, you can't get r/r for a rider that hasn't ridden for you. By the way, calling Victor pavlova isn't funny anymore (not sure it was in the first place) and is the sort of thing a lazy 'journalist' would do
-
And r/r didn't hurt Eastbourne at Glasgow either, probably helped them
-
I thought you couldn't get a guest for a rider that hasn't ridden for you

No commentary? Or maybe producing a best off for the end of the season which would be a cracker by the way. Don't really know. Why not ask them next time you are up -

Well the tail wagged and they didn't suffer from having to use r/r for Wood. Entertaining match just a pity it was the first leg of the shield as opposed to a league match as I can't see us progressing. As others have said heat 15 absolutely superb. DON'T KNOW WHY THIS HAS APPEARED TWICE - APOLOGIES -

Agree with paulco we need a20 point lead whether we get it is another matter. Depends if Eddie K is in the mood or not. Lawson and kerr will do well but can't see there tail doing much at Ashfield but they'll run riot at Eastbourne. So yeah really hope for a big lead. -
Thank goodness there's still a few worky fans left otherwise this forum would have died of

Craig Cook confirms he has broken his wrist but plans to ride on starting tomorrow night at Glasgow against Eastbourne.Tigers have 6 meetings in 11 days and Craig also has the British Final next Monday. Theres no good time to break your wrist but this has to be a sickener for Cookie with him desperate to win trophies for his club and also for his ambitions to become British champion and get the wildcard for Cardiff. Hope everything goes well for him tomorrow and he can then take it day by day and see how the wrist behaves.

Glasgow v Redcar KO Cup 5/7/19@19.30
SharpenRake replied to Paulco's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
For the benefit of sensible fans no one is suggesting that over the 2 legs Redcar didn't deserve to win. What most Glasgow fans want to know is what happened to the track and why and why do it prior to a crucial match against a good team. Why not do it before a match with a diddy team like the monarchs. We had enjoyed good racing with the Tigers riders enjoying smooth lines inside and out and then we get ruts, slick, grippy and patchy in just one bend _ riders comments not mine So why o why
