  1. I'll give you a few clues and see if you can work it out. Tonight Rasmus unbeaten by an opponent in a match curtailed by rain, last night at Peterborough on a track frequently described as having had a lot of rain and difficult Rasmus was superb. Against Scunthorpe he couldn't turn the bike.
  2. Can't see what's wrong with me having an opinion. I take it you think the berwick track isn't too narrow?
  3. Equally, I hope that Berwick close down over the winter due to having a track that's too narrow. Nothing against Berwick team, management or fans, of course.
  4. Perhaps it's a cunning plan to get him to reserve and then the true MBA will appear, 7 rides and double figures in the playoffs . OK I've had a few beers but wouldn't it be good if I was right for once
  5. Your spot on about entertainment value and I suppose the trouble is those that don't enjoy what they are seeing just stop going rather than come on here and argue the toss.
  6. So you were there last week and you thought you got your moneys worth. A track that was grippy in places, spongy in others, that rutted up on the bends, that had riders two wheeling in to the bends. All of these things meant the whole of the track couldn't be used safely resulting in a match that bore no resemblance to speedway we've enjoyed this season. Now this may be the norm for other tracks but we are trying to build our crowd by producing an entertaining evening. Just watch the videos on our Facebook page. Having ridden on the track rather than postponing all that happened I believe was the track needed more work than normal and that would require dry weather which we didn't get. The track staff posted photos late on Thursday and hoped for a dry night and Friday. It rained off and on till around 15 minutes after it was called off! Of course its dry and sunny today but surprise surprise rain is forecast for Tuesday evening and guess what is meant to be happening on Tuesday yes another home match. Are we p'd off yes and people sitting in the warmth of there home typing dog poo does not help.
  7. To be fair it was worse than that. As I've said before if last week was the norm and I don't mean the result I 'd stop going
  8. I love the fact that Berwick fans are really well informed and up-to-date with the rules and then again there are others who think they read it somewhere
  9. yep we want to have 7 fit riders for the play-offs. I wonder what bandits fans would have said if half there team had got injured tonight just so Glasgow could get a meeting on.
  10. Sadly we no longer race in the south of Glasgow. Where we stay weve got puddles in our puddles
  11. I know nothing about track preparation. What I do know is that last week the action on the track bore no resemblance to the racing we had enjoyed prior to the 4 week break. And I don't say that cos we lost. There was nothing entertaining about last week and if it became typical of the speedway on offer I wouldn't be back.
  12. Well look on the bright side. If the second meeting is curtailed due to a curfew it makes the bandits chances of winning increase from pretty certain to dead certain.
  13. Where did I say I was referring to you. I was making a general point. Also my specific comment about set ups and Harris beating Cookie was a 'joke' as that is the reason Harris uses when he does badly
  14. He is. He comes across as a glass half full sort of chap even when his glass is empty.
  15. Why do British 'fans' seem to think only UK riders have problems with set ups. I assume you watched Smektala highly thought of young Pole plus others struggle at Ashfield when Cook went through the card unbeaten in the grand prix qualifier. I
  16. Craig's adventure to qualify for the GPs is over. I wonder how much his injury has affected him plus the Eastbourne stushie. However he did win one race beating Vaculik, Fricke and Pavlic. He also beat Iversen, Lambert and Bellego. Some good scalps seeing as Iversen and Fricke both qualified. On the other hand he must have got the set up wrong in his first race as he finished last with Chris Harris even beating him for 3rd. So a good effort from our captain.
  17. The problem Glasgow has is trying to get all home matches completed before the playoffs and also they have to win them! No match this weekend and the forecast for next week is rain. Without Paul Starke we look vulnerable particularly as we now have 4 young lads in the team. Sam Jensens last bend fall could be crucial as the Tigers would have won the match against the lions and we would be 2 points better of and the lions 3 points worse off. The crucial thing is whether ty Proctor is able to come back after his recent injury and whether Worrall is able to make a comeback.
  18. Plus the crowds were building up nicely and the racing was top notch. Will be a month since the last home match at this rate. just hope the lads don't get caught cold when we return next week weather permitting!
  19. Sure I read that he was injured which is rather unfortunate after being dropped by Sheffield
  20. Thanks for correcting your post. Not a lot of people would have done what you have done
  21. GAZ Just ignore him . Every track has one and to be fair some ex tracks have more than one
