  1. Would imagine Eastbourne riders will want to move to teams that will qualify for the playoffs so as to maximise their potential income. Though agree its unlikely Lawson would replace Andersen, surely Stuart Dickson wouldn't be so ruthless.
  2. What a crass statement! I would remind you and everyone else that keeps suggesting that Glasgow will sign Richard, to have Craig and Richard in the team the club would have to rebuild to a 38 point limit when the current average is 41+ thus weakening the team!
  3. It's 26C in Glasgow today and the weather forecast is dry for the rest of the week!!! So I think I can say it won't be rained off on Friday night. Hopefully there will be a big turn-out with Tigers fans having been starved of speedway for 3 weeks now. No idea how it will go. Berwick seem to do quite well on their travels until the latter heats so hopefully they'll do the same this week which should mean an entertaining meeting and a Tigers win.
  4. Of course he has also scored less than paid 9 this year and many of his good scores coincide with him being in heat 15. Paid 12 sounds so much better. But of course monarchs got a 5-1 in heat 15 so the score wouldn't have changed unless Richie failed to beat the Kings riders which would have resulted in an unfortunate loss.
  5. Met office weather forecast for possilpark is 90% chance of heavy rain from 4pm onwards. So sympathise with the promotion. Nice to hear from our Edinburgh friends and their comments. Hope Edinburgh doesn't get rained off at heat 9, that would be a shame.
  6. Craig Cook chose the wrong bike for his first two rides - it happens. He changed bikes and scored 8 out of 9 in his last 3 rides. So he didn't do as well as some people hoped, but he certainly wasn't 'well off it'.
  7. With tonights match in Glasgow being postponed I would imagine even more will travel down. Hopefully a big crowd, Rob Grant deserves it, good close racing, all riders stay safe AND Tigers take 3 points!
  8. Based on current green sheet averages, only Bewley, Holder and Masters have a higher average than Craig Cook (not counting Jason Crump who is on an 'assessed' average).
  9. I accept that Wells hasn't been doing well but having been really good the last few days I just wondered what happened tonight and why he got only 3 rides when two other riders that didn't trouble the opposition tonight were given 4 rides.
  10. Can someone who was at the match hazard a guess why Wells only got 3 rides from reserve when winning a race and scoring 4 points and Heeps who got 0pts and Mountain who scored 2pts, one being due to an exclusion, both got 4 rides?
  11. Luke Crang (rising star age 30) is your first change, replacing rising star Joe Lawlor. Who is next?
  12. For those unable to make it along tonight, you can still purchase a streaming pass Home | Glasgow Tigers Speedway For an example of a previous streamed race click here https://fb.watch/73NvNukuxy/
  13. Wonder if we'll go down the guest route once again or try r/r for Ulrich. Take away Craig Cook and I think both teams are fairly evenly matched with most of the Berwick team having had good performances at Ashfield. Interesting to see how they perform on a track where overtaking is the norm rather than just before bend 2. I'll go for a Tigers win but it will be closer than a lot of people think which should then make the 2nd leg very interesting.
  14. Or maybe, as Fromafar mentioned above, track conditions changed markedly due to heavy rain after which all race times became slower.
  15. Don't see the Tigers winning this one. Too many rumours of changes doesn't help particularly if you are the rider (s) being targeted by fans.
  16. That's a pity, I'm sure you would rather have been at the speedway
  17. Buy a ticket for the live stream, that way you don't have to read biased updates from a Glasgow fan
  18. It's really nice to read so many positive posts on here, I can understand why the sport is doing so well in East Anglia.
  19. old bob try this heat from Glasgow v Eastbourne, it's no bad https://fb.watch/v/1KNnJ3HcC/
  20. He had two options, bikes remain in the yard and locked away for the rest of the day or left in the street whilst he waited for his 'friend' to arrive. He chose the street. But go ahead and believe what you like, you'll be saying next that Armadale has a Speedway Track.
  21. Spot on. After a glorious week of warm weather in Glasgow it starts to rain at Ashfield not long before tapes-up and kept on going until it was called off. Other parts of the central belt had little or no rain apparently, just our luck. Feel sorry for those that travelled up from England.
  22. Hope you have a nice break. Just in case, remember to purchase online tickets to ensure entry.
  23. So another 'fan' that thinks live speedway should be free. You can keep up to date with what's going on by visiting the speedway GB official site later on in the evening or the following morning. And you think because something might not work people won't buy it.
  24. At a time when speedway teams need every penny they can get do you not think it is morally wrong to ask for an updater when the match is being streamed for a very reasonable price.
