If he rides like he did in heat 14 we have no chance of winning never mind taking the bonus point. Also depends on which Danyon turns up - he could be a match winner for the Bears. Whatever happens it should be a brilliant night of speedway AND its dry!

So Glasgow haven't been strengthened by Anders being signed. Glasgow were not pulling a fast one or taking advantage of ambiguous rules. They replaced a rider rather than going down the route of guests - most fans hate guests. Having replaced the rider why shouldn't he then take his place in a pairs competition representing the side he has signed for? Well done to Anders and Bomber, 3rd place was more than I expected. Also hope that Charles and Scott are both OK after their 'coming together'.

For a more accurate report of what happened: Heat 6 Wood moved before tapes went up, under the rules, automatic restart all four with warning to Wood. Once tapes went up Wood then lifted and cut across/clashed with Jack who crashed entering the bend, under the rules automatic restart, rerun all four or potentially Wood excluded. The ref chose the former. Heat 8 Movement at the start, under the rules, automatic restart. Once tapes went up possibly first bend bunching (not a rule) so unsatisfactory start or Smith excluded. The ref chose the former. In the re-run Smith rightly excluded so no impact on the score.

No one knows how things would have panned out, the main issue is that Ms Horley had an absolute shocker.

On the one hand it's great that Leon is being recognised by the UK governing body by selecting him to represent the UK at the European Pairs Championship. However, to pick a rider who has an important league fixture in the UK and whose Championship average is less than 8pts does seem a bit bizarre. I'm surprised they didn't pick Bomber and Jack Smith as well.

Interesting that Celina, albeit in a 3 person race, wins heat 14 in a time quicker than Craig Cook in heat 12 and Richard Lawson in Heat 13.

Just thought it was worth saying that last night's action was superb - proper speedway with all riders giving it 100% on a brilliant race track. With the medic assessing Chris after his frightening crash they sensibly brought forward the kids race and it was great to see so many youngsters take part. Maybe they could do that more often and I mean bring the kids race foward not Bomber crash! Special mention to Jack Smith promoted to the difficult no.2 position and young reserve James Pearson who would have had paid 10 but for a bike failure. Loved every minute of it.

For any Scunthorpe fan thinking of travelling to Glasgow, the good news is that summer has arrived in the city. This means its overcast, warm and clammy with sunny periods forecast to appear late afternoon. Think it would be a good time to visit as Tigers will be at their weakest, similar to when Scunthorpe hammered us a few years ago. We're having to hope that Jack Smith keeps up his good home form and that young James Pearson will once again impress. The question we're all asking is will Matic be the new Vadim or even Marcin or will he be an another Alexander Conda (remember him). its been that long might need a sat nav to find the track
