  1. All the green sheet averages are on the GB speedway website so you can work out the maths albeit I don't know if they have announced the points limit or the status of the rising star.
  2. Look forward to hearing the 'rules' for next year, points limit, rising stars, etc. Until then it's all just a bit of fun and people creating rumours and winding up other fans. Hope we stay in the championship or the promoters create one league of a championship standard.
  3. Well done to Poole for finishing top of the league and winning the play-offs
  4. Just a mention to the promotion and track staff for their efforts lin managing to get a match on last night. From the minutes applause for Michael Facenna (RIP) through to the red flares on the Tigers parade lap right through to the fireworks and rider interviews they and all 14 riders put on a great show in front of a bumper crowd Thank you
  5. Need all 7 tigers to be at their best and no silly mistakes. Leicester were 6 points down by heat 3 in the play offs semi yet still only lost by 6. I think we are better than Leicester. So it's not impossible but we need to be clever and use our reserves wisely. We also could do with a bit of luck
  6. We weren't whingeing, just trying to influence the referee after his shocker in heat 2.
  7. Not disputing that Craig moved slightly but no rider on gate 4 is looking at the rider on gate 3 and certainly not Steve Worrall who at Ashfield relies on making a good start to win races
  8. Worrall was on gate 4 and Craig on gate 3, so I can't see how Worrall could have been goaded by Craig into jumping the start.
  9. That's close to our old track Shawfield. A lot of taxi drivers still think we race there
  10. The seats are comfortable padded benches and you can sit wherever you want apart from directly in front of the refs box. They tend to sell out quickly as others have said.
  11. I think covers only work if the track is not already sodden, so as it has rained for seven days solid there wouldn't have been much opportunity to do so. The track guys were working on the track this afternoon when the sun eventually came out and so fingers crossed we'll be OK for Tuesday night.
  12. As I mentioned above, not sure you saw it, 'First bus no. 500 from airport to Buchanan bus station in the city centre should be operating OK when you arrive. You should check when the last bus goes back to the airport.' Don't think the bus is a 24 hour service.
  13. Just for the avoidance of doubt quite a few of the posters on here recently are from the east. No complaints, they are totally entitled to comment, I'm mearly making an observation for the benefit of Poole fans particularly those that have never encountered banter, sarcasm and criticism before.
  14. First bus no. 500 from airport to Buchanan bus station in the city centre should be operating OK when you arrive. You should check when the last bus goes back to the airport. Remember your face mask/covering for the bus.
  15. That's OK just don't have any home matches in July and August. Plenty of dates in September and October
  16. if we can't race at Ashfield cos of the weather perhaps we could have tried Workington but then remembered Workington's Toy8tory
  17. The trouble is today was meant to be quite good in the afternoon BUT it poured down causing horrendous driving conditions. Don't know what impact it has had on the track but up until then I was optimistic, assuming the favourable forecasts were accurate. Just going to have to wait and see.
  18. Exactly you got fined for not completing your league fixtures. Both Poole and Glasgow have completed their league fixtures.
