  1. If you read the original link it is 6 man teams featuring the GB and Polish SoN squads. So as others have posted The GB squad is likely to be Woffinden, Lambert, Bewley ( 2 of whom will be used in the Belle Vue meetings) and two U21's , one of whom will make the team at Belle Vue, probably Tom Brennan. The 6th rider will presumably be someone like Adam Ellis.
  2. It's simple, we'll all save money by not coming through to Edinburgh for the KO cup (when's the date?) - sorted.
  3. Who are Glasgow meeting in the playoffs? They are still waiting to find out who their opponents will be! Similarly they have been waiting since the summer to find out their semi final ko Cup opponents thanks to Birmingham cancelling their fixture with Edinburgh at short notice. Finally the GB meeting is being held on a night that is not their normal or alternative race night. Get a life!
  4. GB Speedway Team's Global Challenge is coming to Ashfield as Great Britain take on Poland in an official 6-man team Test Match! Featuring both countries full Speedway of Nations squads! Glasgow Tigers Speedway | Facebook
  5. It’s easy for nick to say that. It's not him trying to find dates to put on the meetings nor him trying to find the money or change shifts so fans can attend and support there team. And surely every track should aspire to what Glasgow produces, unpredictable exciting fair racing.
  6. Don't know which one you're looking at, met office weather forecast suggests dry until heavy rain this evening.
  7. Great result, no ifs about it. When was the last time two reserves from the same team scored paid 21 from their programmed rides with Marcin adding another paid 2 from heat 15. Superb stuff.
  8. If, and I stress if, I thought people were taking the mick I'd be happy that they were all having a laugh rather than behaving like a 'di*k'.
  9. If Glasgow beat Birmingham on Friday and I stress if, they will move above Redcar and into second place. Only Leicester could overtake them and only if they beat the Tigers this Sunday! So time for all tigers fans to really get behind the boys. Hopefully the weather gods don't interfere and the match goes ahead on Friday with a home win.
  10. Would you prefer to have paid at the door and have been given a rain off ticket that could be used for a match that might not take place until after the playoffs or for a match not involving your team? You are getting your money back so stop moaning.
  11. Weather forecast looking good for this evening after some light rain over night
  12. This will be a close one, just hope we win! The match is being streamed and can be bought here Events | Glasgow Tigers Speedway
  13. Great result and performance from the Tigers and a mention for Aaron Summers who was an excellent servant to Glasgow a few years back. Happy retirement.
  14. Yes, for a small sum no guarantees of course I would add she's only been to speedway a few times but has got it sussed.
  15. Cowboy cookie returns has come up with a similar plan - see page 3 and as I have said in response it is very similar to something suggested by my wife a few years ago. Makes you wonder k
  16. Funnily enough my wife suggested something like this a few years ago but she didn't mention a VIP caravan, presumably because of the costs.
  17. You can always purchase it now if you haven't already. OK you know the result but being a Speedway fan I'm sure you would really enjoy it.
  18. I stood and listened to his interview at the end of the meeting. He mentioned that whilst not wanting to make excuses he had had problems with his clutch plates all night with them burning out in his last ride resulting in him touching the tapes. He basically praised what has gone on at Glasgow in recent years in respect of the stadium and track and also publicly thanked Craig Cook who is going to lend him clutch plates for tomorrow at Berwick. Really enjoyed the meeting, as others have said some good hard fast racing and it looks so much better under lights. I hope that any future Sunday meetings are held at 6pm rather than 3pm.
  19. Plymouth have also announced that Lawson will be riding for them next year. Good to know that everything has been sorted for next year like the number of leagues, the teams in these leagues, the number of riders in each team, the number of riders allowed to double up or down per team, the points limit for each team, etc.
  20. Correct, the forecast is looking good Possil Park (Glasgow) weather - Met Office
  21. Well its a warm welcome to the Gladiators on Friday, a team that have made much progress in recent weeks although now hampered by the injury to Richard Lawson. The Plymouth owners and management are to be congratulated for adopting a positive approach and actually promoting the sport. Looking forward to seeing Jason and Bjarne and I'm sure they'll love racing on a fair, smooth, well prepared track unlike some of the tracks they will have encountered away from home this year. With Richard in the team this would have been a close one but Tigers should now have enough strength in depth to win. They will be missing Tom Brennan on GB U-21 duty but have managed to bring in Ben Barker as a guest. Remember the match is being streamed and passes can be purchased here Home | Glasgow Tigers Speedway
  22. In previous years I used to think they did a good job even though some people on here made it clear that they disagreed with that view. However last night they really were awful. They seem to have forgotten what their job is, made mistakes, interrupted each other and appeared to have not undertaken any basic research.
  23. More importantly wouldn't it be against the rules or is it just the championship that had a transfer deadline?
