  1. Tickets for the stand have already sold out. Tickets for terracing still available.
  2. Jan Kvech rode at Glasgow in 2018 in the World U21 Team Championship qualifier and looked impressive scoring 15 points for the Czech Republic from 6 rides including a 6 pointer double in one race. From the UK side that won the meeting, only Connor Mountain is still riding in the UK.
  3. To be fair, when you look at the original GB team, you could say Lambert is replacing Bewley; Connor is replacing Palin and Richie Worrall replacing Howarth; so not much difference from the original team. Obviously we all wanted to see Dan AND Lambert riding but hey ho, you can't fault Dan in this.
  4. I must say I thought tonight's racing was superb with passing in virtually every heat.
  5. Beware of scammers that keep appearing on Facebook pages.
  6. Last night was just superb. After Cookies crash I thought here we go, the Lions are going to fluke this. But the fight and determination from the remaining 6 riders was just brilliant to watch. Just a pity Benjamin wasn't 100% fit . Hope Cookie is OK and takes his time to recover properly and comes back stronger than ever.
  7. Can't help thinking all the above posts are in bad taste. Newcastle fans have lost their club!
  8. Can't believe I'm saying this but for once I agree with you! Just have to wonder if the Glasgow promotion were mislead about the GB team? I know that Poole are racing Berwick on the Saturday so I can understand why certain riders weren't selected BUT Jordan Palin, seriously? If it were 7 man teams then perhaps, and I mean perhaps, Palin could have been the No.7 but in a 6 man team absolutely no way. Explains why Ruml is in the RoW team, that and the fact that Sam Ermolenko is the manager! Whilst it will be good to see Rasser again, I wonder if an Australian team with Doyle and Fricke supported by any four from Masters, Pickering, Kurtz, Batchelor, Douglas, Morris and Thomson would have proved more attractive?
  9. Ignore him, he's a wind up merchant from Workington.
  10. Indeed. Look on the bright side tigers fans we did better than Stuart Dixon's lions
  11. You could always appeal to Masters and Pickering's sense of loyalty and if that doesn't work tell them they are sacked if they ride in Poland.
  12. Has anyone worked out when the match could be held? If it gets moved again will other countries fixtures take precedence so could still end up with guests? Does anyone know if there is a deadline to complete KO Cup matches - there was talk of that after the farce caused by delays last year and previous years for that matter.
  13. When Glasgow returned to league speedway in 1964, they rode on a Wednesday night. Thanks to Poole we had to arrange their meeting for another night as Poole raced on Wednesdays and picked a Friday. The crowd was a lot better so they switched to Fridays.
  14. Top 4 from each of the 3 qualifying rounds automatically qualified. They then picked 3 permanent wildcards and reserves. Benjamin was picked as a permanent wildcard and Tom as a reserve.
  15. Maybe so I was just pointing out that 3 riders had meetings abroad that weekend when someone asked why not have a meeting when all your riders were available.
  16. Who would you have picked? Plus why do some people have difficulty with getting Justin's name right?
  17. 13th May weekend - Tom was reserve in the Team GB European Team Championship final in Poland and Danyon and Connor were selected to represent GB in a 4's meeting in Germany.
  18. As Tyretrax says below someone has been filming and footage of one race was on the official Facebook page earlier this month. So maybe a chance of something happening.
  19. You really need to go to your doctor and get another prescription.
