  1. Have we moved it to Oxford so more Poole fans can attend or watch the stream?
  2. Well spotted. It's good to know that Poole fans are so well informed and up-to-speed.
  3. It's good to know how well informed and up-to-speed Poole fans are with the names of non Poole riders
  4. Since Poole fans want to see proper speedway at a proper speedway track try this https://www.facebook.com/glasgowtigersspeedway/ scroll down the page
  5. If Tigers win they play the monarchs again in the play-offs, I think.
  6. You've said this before on another thread about Nagel being unable to ride in the uk. And I repeat why would a young up and coming Danish rider want to ride at Armadale. He is a polite young man so I'm sure he would have given a polite response should the monarchs have spproached him. It's a pity your Livingston project fell through. Has anything been built on.the site yet or were the new land owners just hoping you would offer them good money to lease the site? And what happened to the money that was going to be used for that project?
  7. We find that as well especially with there being so many English refs
  8. There's another problem, uncle Jim is no longer a referee
  9. Glad to see that on the British Speedway Web site (Official Referee scorecard) that Freddy was awarded 3rd place when he passed Hook on the line. On updates it shows Hook as being third. With poor Max getting injured - he wasn't excluded as suggested on updates - it was a great performance from the 5 remaining tigers. A shame that guest Jacob Hook failed to score but no2 is a difficult position. Looking forward to tomorrow's meeting at Workington where it will probably be tight like many of our away meetings. Can the Tigers win again?
  10. Well done to the Gladiators and particularly Ben Barker
  11. Looking forward to the visit of the Comets and hopefully they will bring a bunch of loyal noisy fans with them. Workington have a great, fast track so Ashfield shouldn't hold any fears for the Comets riders some of whom have experienced the circuit, as guests, in recent weeks - Zischke (for Glasgow) and Batchelor (for Berwick). Should be a good one.
  12. You probably think that was an incredibly funny comment. It wasn't And well done to the Tigers for another entertaining meeting.
  13. Well done to Glasgow, a great result and performance.
  14. Ben certainly did well on a rough, patchy track. However, wouldn't it be better to prepare a good racing surface and allow your riders to show off their skills? Look at Kemp, Jeppesen and Smith at Glasgow on Friday they were very competitive compared to Saturday night where they appeared to be a bit tentative.
  15. They did ride well. We scored a 4-2 in heat 2, Max got knocked off and they were never tailed off. Riding well doesn't always equate to scoring lots of points. On the other hand sometimes you can look at a score sheet and see a rider scored paid 4 from 3 rides and then when you look.more closely you find they didn't beat an opposition rider. Finally it is easy to criticise so what would your team have been?
  16. Thank you. I unfortunately started all of this by asking, based on the updates, if a reason had been given for selecting the scunthorpe pairing for heat 15. I had hoped for an answer stating that the announcer or team manager had explained, for example, that a rider had aggravated an injury or another had suffered bike problems, etc. All I got back were what I considered to be assumptions or suggestions and you have confirmed that I was correct in thinking this. Hopefully no one did aggravate an injury or suffer expensive machinery problems.
  17. Thanks to those who replied with their assumptions. I just wanted to know if anything was officially announced e.g. bike problems, aggravated an injury, heat exhaustion.
  18. Just catching up on the result looking at the Updates page. Just wondering why Declan Kennedy and Luke Harrison were selected for Scunthorpe in heat 15? No disrespect to both riders but on the night their scores weren't what you would normally expect and other riders scored more.
  19. Stene also rode for the Ashfield Giants (Glasgow's junior team) against a Redcar junior team in the 2nd half
  20. You never know what you will get with Jye. I seem to remember him having good meetings against the Tigers but when they booked him as a guest he wasn't so hot. I'm afraid I think this could be a banana skin for the Tigers. If all the bears ride at their 'Ashfield best' the tigers could be in trouble particulalry as they are without Leon Flint and Dan Thompson.
  21. The original poster suggested that if the track was made 'good' Poole would romp to even bigger wins. So presumably the Poole management save money on track preparation and reduced wages to their own riders as Mr Head suggests they would score even more points and earn even more points money if the track was 'good'.
  22. So are you suggesting that the Poole managment are deliberately trying to save money by scrimping on track preparation and reducing the amount they would have to otherwise pay their riders in respect of points money?
  23. Excuse me but most Glasgow fans are NOT saying drop Hodder & Perry.
  24. Seems we offered another Saturday night with the meeting now arranged for 2 August at 7pm.
