Neither do I ! Read my post again and just to emphasise. PTW wrote Cairns will be replacing 'me' . In other words PTW must think he is the Poole no.7 and he knows Cairns will replace him.
I have to say that Paul Starke did disappoint me. However I seem to recall that when he tried big blasts coming out of the 2nd bend he was inadvertently blocked by his team mate, lost momentum and thereafter couldn't make much of an impact in the race. His machinery/chains also let him down. When he did gate he was fine and with Poole being a gate and go track he should do OK against the less experienced reserves in opposition teams.
Not surprised. Connor Bailey used to post videos of him winning races in the U24 Polish league and it looked more like a behind doors practice session- no one was there! Wonder if this contributed to Connor's decision to 'retire', hopefully just temporarily. Young lads could easily get themselves into debt and if they can't pay their bills when they don't get paid what they are owed, what can they do.
James was a very skilful and fast young rider around Ashfield, everyone who visited Ashfield could see that. He beat a lot of good riders in his first season with the club. He probably had only visited most away tracks twice at the most before joining the Tigers, so his away form wasn'ta complete surprise. To me he was a success and I'm really disappointed that he's not in next year's team.
I'm not going to comment on your views of Boughen and Coles. One thing I can say is that Jack Smith gave 100% for Glasgow and suggesting that if Boughen continues to perform the way he has done recently he would end up like Jack is out of order.
Oh I don't know, Anders Rowe did well - got a full Championship contract replacing Steve Worral, an 8.13 rider, scored a lot of bonus points and got his Championship GSA back to an employable level (6.27), Job done.
