  1. Lol love that, I'll have a word with Kenneth for you if you keep the comedy gold coming! Free Hansen from the evils of Cumbria!!!
  2. Confirmed line ups for Saturday's meeting, promises to be a close one. Comets - Wells, Jensen, Hansen, Campton, Vissing, Roynon, Williamson Tigers - Stead, Berge, Garrity, R/R Bates, Howarth, Sissis, Greaves Weekend preview can be found here http://www.workingtoncomets.co/news/article.asp?id=100641
  3. Final two pairs for Saturday are Hugh Skidmore and Rasmus Jensen plus local Cumbrian duo Craig Cook and Dan Bewley Thank you to Redcar, Belle Vue and Peterborough in their co-operation.
  4. Comets are at full strength for tomorrow. I'll be tweeting from the track Sue if you'd like to follow @CometsUpdates
  5. Claus Vissing and Mason Campton are another pair along with Steve Worrall and Adam Roynon
  6. Ricky Wells and Simon Lambert are the next pair
  7. This Saturday sees our first Cumberland Pairs Championship taking place, 7 Comets and 5 guests will make up the 6 pairs over 15 heats and a final. Kenneth Hansen and Matt Williamson make up the first pair, further teams to be announced during the week.
  8. We have a 14 point gap to make up, it's a tough ask against the league's in form side but it could go very close... Teams Comets - Wells, Jensen, Hansen, Campton, Vissing, Roynon, Williamson Rebels - Grajczonek, Allen, Wright, Starke, Tungate, Wilson-Dean, Wajtknecht
  9. Peterborough's official raceday is now a Sunday.
  10. In a late change to the Comets line up Newcastle's Stevie Worrall replaces number 1 Ricky Wells who is ill. We'd like to thank Stevie and the Newcastle Promotion for helping us out at the last minute.
  11. He's signed his PL contract after the season has started so the EL will take precedence.
  12. Isn't Steve Worrall still classed as an EDR even if he gets in the 1-5? In which case they only have Richie as a doubling up rider so it's fine. Swindon have Josh G, Wright, Tungate and Nielsen as doubling up riders!
  13. Tough away trip for the Comets to the inform team in the league. The Rebels will be without Tungate, who is in Denmark for a GP Qualifier, but have drafted in Comets asset Kyle Howarth who will no doubt be very pumped up against his parent club. The Comets will hope to keep it as close as possible before the 2nd leg on the 14th, of course this is easier said than done! Teams Rebels - Grajczonek, Allen, Wright, Starke, Howarth, Wilson-Dean, Wajknecht Comets - Wells, Jensen, Hansen, Campton, Vissing, Roynon, Williamson
  14. Seems like there was a bit of an error in the maths!
  15. Mason is still on his assessed 5.00 average, he is awaiting to complete his 4 home and 4 away for an official average. His actual average for 2016 official matches is 5.20
  16. Claus Vissing will be Comets number 1 in May on an average of 8.93
  17. Congratulations on your win and I agree it was a pleasure to watch Cookie flying around the fence, the engine seemed to work well! A good night all round!
  18. Compton doesn't fit. Best wishes to Tero, a real nice guy. Rosen seems the obvious solution.
  19. Our home Premier League campaign gets underway with a visit from the Monarchs. Team news to come during the week Workington - Wells, Jensen, Hansen, Campton, Vissing, Roynon, Williamson Edinburgh - Masters, Etheridge, Wolbert, Riss, Fisher, Clegg, Bewley
  20. It's not a quick process, firstly he will need a club with a sponsor licence. At least 4, possibly 5 clubs in the Premier League don't have them currently. That process takes 6-8 weeks. If the club does have a sponsor licence then he will need a contract in place and then apply for a visa (about 2 weeks). Good luck to him wherever he ends up.
  21. As I stated last night, its R/R for Aarnio and Richie in for Kus. Fisher and Howarth were your guests for last week.
  22. Just had a team update R/R for Aarnio, Richie Worrall in for Kus. Makes the Diamonds far stronger, should be a cracker.
