  1. He is using the 24 hours either side of an FIM event rule which means he doesn't have to ride.
  2. Thank you for your kind words, it was a pleasure meeting and chatting to you, it's nice to put a face to names sometimes! Well done to the tractor boys on a good win for them
  3. But they do prefer to live in the UK which was my point, which they would not be able to do without a UK visa. If they are living in the UK and using UK employment as a secondary or tertiary form of income the UKVI may decide to rule against them.
  4. He was frank and honest about putting too much pressure on himself to perform to the point of making himself physically ill. Full credit to him for admitting that in front of a crowd of people. He is a winner and I wish him nothing but the best of luck for this weekend. He has been with Peter Johns for over a year now since changing from Ashtech
  5. Going forward cases such as these may have serious implications for those riders needing visas. It is the UK authorities granting these visas to allow riders to live here. I can imagine the UKVI taking a dim view on proceedings. I'm not sure how many riders from outside the UK gain access to European leagues without having a UK visa. Hancock maybe? Could see that number increasing if the UKVI start to refuse visas based on lack of appearances for UK teams.
  6. Bates touched the tapes in heat 3, Bjerre went right through them in re-run.
  7. Riding order is down to Jacko, not Steve. Personally I think Mason should be at 4 now he has found his confidence
  8. That is exactly what I said we would probably be doing. Council planning permissions and rugby use need to worked around to achieve this though but it will be done. No fixtures have been rearranged to suit other clubs without it suiting us too.
  9. The last thing we wanted was another rain off. The track, however, was saturated this morning, I'm sure you will have seen the picture I posted on social media. The rugby pitch also had standing water on it showing that the water table was very high following this weeks weather. There is also more rain forecast this evening that would've disrupted the meeting for sure. We have a responsibility to provide 15 heats of racing where we can, not just 10 heats of slipping and sliding round the white line and follow my leader. We are fully aware of how many meetings we have to fit in so more than likely racing on 'off' nights and double headers will come into the equation.
  10. I put that Thomas was riding on the Unofficial Forum too at around 8:30am this morning along with the meeting preview.
  11. I will post updates when a decision has been made, will have to see what the morning rain does and I will try to give as much notice as possible on our Facebook and Twitter.
  12. His involvement is increasing now his son is riding more and more. Can be found at Derwent Park most Saturday evenings
