  1. Hello R&R, sorry about the maths, i ran out of fingers Thanks for the adjustment, and accepting the entry anyway. I have been away for a few days, so i didn't check after i made the post. Actually i am fairly wrapt to have survived this long, Has been interesting, and thanks for running it. See you in the last round. Sayfutdinov will win this series again, and W...aces looks to have this comp sewn up.
  2. Great to see him come back and mean it. BE fantastic if he got wildcard to Aussie GP. Move Dak North to 1 res.
  3. ROUND 3 Lindback 350 more Sayfutdinov 300 more Kolodziej 180 more
  4. Maybe BSI will have to be more flexible or realistic in negotiating staging fees. If major circuits in Poland are grumbling, despite the strongest fan base, then where to next for speedway gp.
  5. They offered him a wild card at the NZ GP, which he refused, on the basis he didn't think he could justify it; not race ready. He has never done a final tour of Australian tracks either. Fans never had the opportunity to thank him. He is now ambassador for the Aussie GP.
  6. Always wondered about this. Still $84 500 prize per event, doesn't appear to be very much for the pinnacle of the sport. I thought it would have been more. At $50 per person, the prize pool is covered by just 1690 paying fans. Maybe there is an overall final place payment as well.
  7. Top 3 Pedersen, but i hope not. Woofinden Holder TOP 8 Unchanged, although AJ or Jepsen Jensen may sneak in at the expense of Janowski or Doyle. WILD CARDS Hampel, Sayfutdinov, Ward, Lindback or Pz. Pawlicki
  8. No argument with that, Very very good thing, great rider. Good to see Jake Allen riding well. Bet he never thought he would be riding with Jason Crump.
  9. In 2002 GP season we had four riders Crump 2nd, Sullivan 3rd, Adams 4th, and Todd Wiltshire who competed in the whole series. Incidently those four riders are our best ever WTC side having won the WTC final in 99, 00, and 02. At the Aussie GP in 2002 Jason Lyons, Steve Johnston, and Mick Poole, were seeded into the elimination heats (without success) giving us seven riders in the field for the Australian GP. I can't recall Jason Lyons competing in a full GP season.
  10. So whats Crumpie doing back on the competitive side of the fence. That would have been great to see. He didn't ride enough in Australia in his later years. Hope he decides to have a spin down here at Gillman.
  11. Would be interesting to compare injury rates at the Polish tracks, with those of British tracks. As Polish tracks are generally longer, wider, and more slick, they may be better suited to the extra power that bikes have today. If there is a significant difference in injury rates between Poland and GB, then you may be right in suggesting the bikes are set up with to much grunt for British tracks.
  12. Some big names on that honour list. What happened to that meeting, dwindling crowds?
  13. Watched that Utube clip. Awesome, and not scared to give it a fist full of throttle. Must be a spot in the National League for him.
  14. Good riding by Holder, Batchelor and Doyle. Thought the racing was hard and tight, even without so much passing. Doyle went in fast under Harris, but not fast enough, Harris should enjoy those 3 points, because he wont be there next year.
  15. I see, fairly standard payment for appearance arrangement, and i read somewhere BSI also pay some for travel etc. I hope they are paid well then.
  16. So BSI don't pay the riders anything? Pity the leagues, BSPA or such, dont get anything from it. I now begin to understand why so many of you believe the SGP series has contributed to the decline in British league speedway. In effect the SGP has reduced the prestige of the various national leagues.
  17. At least the money stays in UK then. FIM should charge BSI and Onesport some sort staging fee and then share part of that money back to various national speedway bodies. Something like that any way. You know a lot about Aussie Rules for an Englishman.
  18. I also notice they have the Horsens track in place well before the event. The weather is a little warmer here than Warsaw, maybe that will help.
  19. AFL is played in March, however it is only a pre season knockout competition, and these fixtures could be moved if needed. When the season proper starts usually in April, the stadium is played on 2 or 3 times a week, all the way through to September. In Melbourne, nothing interferes with the footy. You can see the problem this would pose for track preparation. When the AFL season is over, soccer (Melbourne Victory) play there a lot. For example, the weekend preceding, and the weekend immediately after the SGP on the 24 October, are Melbourne home games. Like all major stadiums it is busy. Late October is the best time available for the stadium management to fit it in. It is also a good time for Australian speedway really, as it leads nicely into the start of our speedway season in November and the end of the very long European speedway season. As for the final round being held in Australia; why not? The advertising says it all "Speedway is coming home." Any way the title may well have already been decided by the time it arrives. Always a risk being last in line. Really i don't think speedway fans here would mind if we were first, fifth or last meeting, so long as we get a SGP round. More of an availability issue i think. BSI as i understand are American owned and clearly channel the profit from SGP into the parent company. I know from the press here that the AFL tennant teams at Etihad Stadium are not happy with the financial arrangements with the stadium management company, who take the far greater share of gate receipts. Given this setting BSI must have some good negotiators to get a deal which they believe will be profitable. Speedway in Australia will not profit directly from the SGP in Melbourne, because like Europe, we are funding BSI to put the travelling show on. But indirectly we may profit from increased interest, media and sponsorship. Whatever the case, i hope we get the attendance to make it work for everyone. Australia is a part of the international speedway scene, with a far greater pedigree than Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Latvia etc... and we deserve our own SGP round even if Europe have the majority of the rounds. All good for the sport.
  20. Wild card for next year. Otherwise through the qualifiers next year for season 2017. Long way off but. Unless you know another way.
  21. Melbourne has the opening F1 GP in late March. Have to see what sort of crowd we get at Etihad speedway GP. I think October is a good timing at the moment. Cardiff SGP was on same weekend as Silverstone F1. I know different fan base, but did it impact on crowd at Cardiff?
  22. Darcy Ward; not god, not world champion, not an angel, just Darcy Ward. Just the name as a topic on this forum has generated almost 6000 responses, (good, bad and ugly), and 350 000+ views. Not even Greg Hancock drew that much attention. That manager at Swindon is smart, although no one has any idea if that will show in gate receipts.
  23. Good to see Ward back. Now I will have to support Swindon.
  24. For Round 2: Kolodzeij 100 more Andersen 100 more Lindback 40 more
