Ipswich v Sheffield Monday 10th June
stu219 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
To be fair I was at kings lynn supporting Ipswich and we had a couple of total dick heads infront of us who supported Ipswich and were giving Kenyan a hard time and swearing loudly at him. ok he had a bad meeting but no need at all for the abuse. Bet those two guys have never been on a speedway bike -

For sure. 7+1 for a rising star racing at number 2 is a brilliant effort -

Dont be a dick! Gate three at Sheffield is appalling . has been for ages now so why on earth are they incapable of sorting it out? no doubt the black arts will take over when Sheffield have a run off gate three . totally unfair if you ask me as all gates should be the same -
Belle Vue v Ipswich 22nd April

Lol that’s true but he should get £220 for a delay over 3 hours so make sure Jason that you claim it. When we got delayed over night in Salzberg in January we ended up getting £700 between the two of us and got to stay in the poshest hotel we have ever stayed in for the night. wasn’t much of a hardship lol w -

I would be amazed if he did. From what I understand Tungate actually missed the flight where as Jason was on the aircraft when there was an issue. Not sure what Jason could have done? not much excuse for missing a flight? Never missed one yet while heading on holidays lol -

Fact is the flight was delayed. Just had to look on stansted arrivals to see that. Too many people on here who like a conspiracy as opposed to facts -

The flight was delayed 5 hours. Easy to check if you looked at stansted arrivals. No arguing as it’s fact -

Yes true. Maybe he could have rearranged to use the same flight as Jason? oops that wouldn’t have gone well. Come on guys I’m sure you have all had nightmares at airports. I know I have. it was bound to happen at some point and has anyone known Jason to ever miss a meeting in the Uk due to flight delays? he has been extremely lucky considering the amount of flights these guys do in a season -

How is it cutting it fine? If was already in the country he would not have got to Manchester until about 5pm anyway and as he lives in Norwich he would still have had almost the same trip by car. Too many reading far more into this. Once at the airport if your flight then gets delayed then you are screwed. I’m sure if had been told the night before he would have managed to find another flight. -

And if it had been Lidseys flight that had been delayed and not Jason’s? Maybe you should go ask Ryan Air why one plane was delayed and one wasn’t? -

No statement needed. What was Jason supposed to do? His flight has been delayed by 5 hours. In normal circumstances he would have been out of Stansted airport by 1pm and then a 4 hour drive to Manchester getting him there in plenty of time. It was bound to happen at some point with a flight delayed . Jason is the most loyal rider to British Speedway and I would think you struggle to fine any other time that this has happened which is a miracle in itself considering the amount of flight delays that happen. It could have easily been any of the other riders who were flying in today if their flight had been delayed. it seems as if Tungate didn’t even get to the plane which is hardly the same as being at the airport and suddenly your flight is delayed. -
Ipswich Witches 2024 serious team predictions
stu219 replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
It doesn’t matter how you try to spin it Jason has been one of the most loyal GP riders to UK speedway. There is no team in the league who would not want him in their team. Both Jason and Emil have bought plenty of entertainment to the fans at Ipswich . More so than than any other riders in recent years ( although Jason if you are reading this you have yet to do full lap of the stockcar track on 1 wheel)! -

Totally agree. Jason and Emil just have to come back. I have a feeling the points limit will be raised next year. Otherwise there will be way to many riders out of a job. -
Ipswich v Sheffield play off final 1st leg
stu219 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
What was quite amusing though was after heat 15 when Jason and Emil came round the stock car track for their customary lap of honour Lamberts decided to join them. Maybe in his mind he thought all the cheering was for him lol. -

There are ways for voicing an opinion. lambert just came across as a spoilt brat . His outburst was not how any grown up should put their point across. The track was tricky yes but apart from Hume who falls off every meeting what ever the conditions almost every one else managed to cope ok and Pickering was busting a gut for Sheffield and fair play to him. -

Thinking a narrow win overall for Ipswich. Let’s hope for a decent crowd as the weather is set fair -

That’s rubbish! Not sure how many meeting you went to? There is just the one rider in the team who has never looked for a team mate and on many occasions almost stuck his team mates through the fence. Jason and Emil are the two riders who have put bums on seats as shown my the increased attendances at Foxhall this year.

Kings Lynn v Ipswich 4th September
stu219 replied to Arch Stanton's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Why do people have to be so insulting to people. Maybe he would think the same of you if he was to meet you. One thing that should not be done on any social media is to dish out personal insults. It’s not a good look . Whether he is a good team manager is a good debating point but to just call some one an idiot shows the sort of guy maybe you are? -
Absolute joke now though. I wonder how many promoters in the top flight are happy to go along with the shambles. Will any of them dare to come out and offer their views? Over to you promoters
-
What an f ing joke speedway in This country has become. I love watching on a Thursday at Ipswich but even I am now totally pissed of that teams can just change at any point. Take a leaf out of the football rules for Christ sakes and limit when signings can be made. The whole sport has become an absolute joke now and no one in charge seems to give a damn!
-
Should always be very careful what you hint at. Match fixing in any sport is a no no and to hint that it may happen is not the best idea unless you have conclusive proof. Always easy though on social media. Maybe some should think before they type? and if you are wrong it would not go amiss to say that you messed up and got it wrong?
-
Yea but Leicester didn’t just roll over. Shows there was no match fixing as some have hinted at. Leicester wanted to win but Sheffield just to good. and remember it was you that said that there was no way Sheffield would win the meeting?
