  1. Ellis was interviewed on Eurosport and being given the Wildcard and I'm pretty sure he said that was mentioned but the riders didn't agree with that idea
  2. Race off prior to beginning of Cardiff meeting we can then all cheer on our favourite
  3. Just another thought, although we bought tickets online we were originally told we'd get them in Principality app which we duly installed only to be advised 6 months later that we'd now need the Seetickets app. Wondered have you got the Seetickets app or are you trying to use Principality app. Hope I might have been some help if not there might be someone else on here more use than me.
  4. We got ours from Seetickets online with our email address but although we did that and they had our email we also had to also register a separate account with the same email with Seetickets, the tickets then showed in the Seetickets account then we had to download them to the app (sorry if that's not clear I find it difficult to explain) we all seem to be having problems with this stupid app. Try registering a Seetickets account to see if your tickets are there, if not phone stadium on Monday. We're taking printed copy of our confirmation email with us just incase of further problems.
  5. Sorry, can't help with your question but out of interest what phone number did you ring and was it the stadium or Seetickets.
  6. He refused to take a test when riding for Kent Kings and was banned for 2 years.
  7. As Martin Vaculik has broken his shoulder blade if he's not fit for Cardiff anyone know who will replace him.
  8. Article in Wales on line re GP if anyone wants to read if I've done link correctly (no mention of ticket fiasco though) https://www.walesonline.co.uk/special-features/world-championship-speedway-returns-full-24478321
  9. Let's hope your correct and there is still pay on the day available, I think they should still give us the choice to print out tickets from an email then scan it at the turnstile as in the past it would save all these problems, especially for fans who do not possess a mobile/ipad and bought tickets back in January without realising they needed an app, there are some as I have spoken to someone in this position. I have emailed the stadium and asked this along with other questions but have yet to receive a reply. All this technology is getting ridiculous let's hope next year we won't need those ridiculous headset/glasses things so we buy our tickets and just sit in our houses wearing them and watch the GP as if we were in the stadium, mind you would save on petrol and hotel bills!
  10. Here's an idea, why don't we all ask him today? Anyone have his email?
  11. The booking this year is ridiculous and don't forget you need the Seetickets app to download tickets, read some of the above comments (we were originally told Principality app). Anyway I have 2 suggestions as See Tickets has no phone contact number, although you can email them but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply, try ringing the stadium on Monday and see if they can help, the number is 0844 249 1999. The second is a bit daft but it works out cheaper than 5 of the cheapest single tickets, you purchase 2 blocks of family tickets which I think came to £182 excluding app delivery fees etc and it was about £100 cheaper than 5 singles, you then have 8 seats so you can spread yourselves out (daft idea I know but so is this stupid ticket system) but honestly you really shouldn't have to purchase tickets you don't need just to sit together. The powers (or idiots) that be should realise families come in all shapes and sizes nowadays.
  12. Thanks for info I had read that previously but as we've now been advised we need the See Tickets app and not the Principality app I wonder will that still apply? Like others if its the same system next year this year will probably be my last at Cardiff.
  13. Definitely agree and if the Internet goes down I dread to think what will happen. I have a much better solution to entry they could try paper or email tickets, ha ha, perhaps not its not technical enough for this day and age.
  14. After numerous tries managed to get tickets into See tickets wallet/app but took a number of goes to get the app to actually open, so there will be a big queue behind me if the same happens at Cardiff. I am going to contact the Stadium and ask them what arrangements they have in place to give fans access to the stadium should their internet/mobile provider have signal problems on the 13th August and they unable to access their tickets. If I get a reply I'll post the outcome. Although it says they won't accept screen shots for entry I took them anyway as a backup to the confirmation email of my ticket purchase that I shall be taking with me to Cardiff.
  15. Quite agree I had same problem and had to try numerous times before I succeeded, just have to try and get tickets into app now
  16. Thank you, on mobile I'm now getting message saying "can't load page please try later" so I'll wait a while and try again and if no joy I'll try like you on laptop. I reckon there will be an awful lot of problems and angry people at the gates at Cardiff if they all have problems.
  17. I've just had the email and downloaded the See ticket app, how did you find your tickets as all I can get is a message saying "no digital/mobile orders found"
  18. No it's not, Speedway could do with a bit more atmosphere. We had plenty at West Ham in the 60s, atmosphere that is although I don't remember much singing just lots of cheering and booing
  19. Are there any updates on Edward Kennett, the last thing I remember reading was something along the lines of "he would be seeing Doctors/hospital etc and Plymouth would should know more by the end of the week" and I remember reading that, i think on the Plymouth website, weeks and weeks ago.
  20. Please can anyone tell me if tickets are the same price at the gate as they are online, haven't been to Foxhall for over 4 years but if the weather stays OK am thinking of going tonight.
  21. Had a lovely afternoon chatting to people and seeing old riders, loved Reg Luckhursts short but sweet sing song, perhaps we should have all joined in. The model of Custom House Stadium was excellent but it wasn't until I got home and looked closely at the photos I had taken of it ( I was busy trying to pinpoint exactly where I stood) that I realised that the names of those who lost their lives at Lokeren were shown at the starting tapes, lovely touch to a great piece of work. We'll done to the organisers of the event can we have a few more similar events please especially when the sun is shining.
  22. What an excellent watch. It would be good if Discovery+ showed this as part of their speedway coverage and maybe also on the big screen at Cardiff during the racing interval or before the meeting starts.
  23. And when he was alive he had the right of reply. When someone's died people should just pay their respects or say nothing at all, the only people who might be reading negative comments are his family who are left behind and I just hope if they are reading this forum they ignore the ignorant posts and focus on the overwhelming ones from people who realise he will be missed and also a great loss to Speedway.
  24. OMG, as long as its not blaring out who would it disturb the tracks in the middle of nowhere. Someone parked in the field had their car radio on which we could hear occasionally, what is it with these planning departments it's obvious they all hate speedway and people enjoying a day out. Oh well next time we visit I'll take my ipod.
