I think this one could be going down to the wire tonight. Ghostwalker, why are Gnistorna not using Max Fricke much this season? -

You can't beat "team" speedway, in my opinion. -
I think he would fit when the new averages come into effect on the 1st August. (4.40, I think).

I wondered if anyone knows whether Malmo TV are streaming Gnistorna vs Griparna tonight? -
I'd have to say that after 4 matches Krcmar doesn't appear to be an adequate replacement for Kyle. We probably have to win at Lakeside and Wolverhampton to have the slightest chance of making the play offs, as our other away matches are much tougher. Maybe if we do get something from tomorrow's match against Lakeside, we should be looking for a replacement for him before the Wolves match on the 10th. At the moment he's struggling to beat the opposing reserves and by signing him and Ward and dropping Kyle, the management have already adopted a "win at all cost" mentality, so I think that we need to be looking elsewhere.

Premier League - Too Big A Step?
Truro Robin replied to Truro Robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It's not a question of them not being good enough. The gaps between the 3 leagues just need to be evened out. If for one season a PL points limit of, say, 36 was put in place plus each team had to have a British 3 pointer as their seventh rider, then the points limit could be re-assessed the following season. -

That's a shame. I enjoyed watching Gnistorna's matches earlier in the season. -

The flag you're referring to is the flag of the Duke of Cornwall. A lot of balls in more than one way. -

Premier League - Too Big A Step?
Truro Robin replied to Truro Robin's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I completely agree. I think the points limit should be something that can be varied depending on the circumstances. The time seems right to lower it in the Premier League to encourage the flow of British riders up from the National League. Maybe another option would be to have an assessed 2.00 average for British riders with little or no previous Premier League experience. ( I'm sure this was the case in the old National League back in the 80s ). -
Premier League - Too Big A Step?

Cook, Kennett, King & Morris are all current Elite League heat leaders. Morris has ridden as No.1 for both Glasgow and Swindon this season. -
With the success of the British Youth Championships and more young riders coming through the MDL & NJL, surely it is now time for the Premier League promoters to grasp the nettle and lower the points limit for next season. The step up from the National League to the Premier league has become too great. Rider's such as Dan Greenwood, Oliver Greenwood, Max Clegg, Ben Morley etc. should be able to hold their own in a Premier League reserve berth, not struggle to hold on to a 3.00 average. You only have to look up most Elite League doubling up rider's averages to see how small the gap in standard has become between the top 2 divisions. There needs to be a steady flow of British riders up through the divisions to make British speedway more viable. The National League have done their bit this season, now the Premier League needs to follow suit, while the Elite League really has to think what happens next with the Fast Track system.

Are There Better Ways To Limit Team Strength?

If you read my post I said "in an ideal world". In today's current climate I would keep the points limit low in the Elite League and lower it in the Premier League to obtain more of a balance and flow of riders between the 3 leagues. -
Milik probably was too low but Krcmar won't be matching Milik's end of first season average I'm afraid.
