  1. Can’t see Dugard running a team. I recall his interest in rye house but when you speak to him at Arlington he says how he enjoys being able to arrive a lot later and enjoying the less responsibility.
  2. As good as Kemp is I think his progression is more based on a false security. He spent months at reserve last year, and when it came to stepping up he was never really setting the world alight at the number 1 spot - although scoring points I think riding at mildenhall actually halted his progression.. he excels round the “circular type tracks” like mildy, scunny & the meeting he won in Germany. When it comes to a technical track I think all his trade he learnt at Ipswich he seems to have lost. Add in that being at number 2 all year (which is his and Ipswich fault) they would have been well aware that he would gain an avg almost immediately. Unfortunately for him he’s not going to have the nl to rely on next year and going to have to try and tough it with the big guys. A talent yes - how far will he go - I’m not sure.
  3. Which is Crazy! Look at the top british riders in speedway gb squad at the moment they all came from a nl team! Woffinden scunthorpe bewley belle vue lambert kings lynn cook Buxton Ellis IOW
  4. Surely buster should see past his top league? And try to help other teams working together to make every team a success or at least a break even rather than just buying the teams that are up for sale. The days have gone where gp riders want to ride here. Why not merge both leagues and then run a NDL alongside it for the teams that can’t afford it. Lower the rider wages and lower the fee entry to come in and watch speedway
  5. In fairness they did well to fit 7 fixtures in with all the external issues in running a team at monmore green
  6. Hagon connection to Eastbourne hagon connection to Dugard’s. I’m pretty sure Broc will be riding at Eastbourne next year.
  7. If cradleys play off hopes are still in the balance they need a point here. Not sure it’s doable though. Leicester far stronger throughout. Unless Luke Harris and Halsey can spring a surprise?
  8. I believe to own the rights to a speedway team you’re talking thousands of £s? Jayne Moss on here might be able to help with that answer
  9. Can see Eastbourne being near to bottom of the table after this weekend and will have raced 3-4 more fixtures than the clubs closely behind them. Play off hopes bleak for eagles
  10. I see your points I just think Bowtell is a better rider than Kingsley that’s all
  11. Surely milfenhall would have signed Bowtell a proven number one as opposed to Kingsley who struggled at one last year? I like Ryan. But any replacement for Ayres other than wood/mountain at nl level weakens them
  12. Well that’s a long read lol. I suspect with Vatcher being there, the referee will have reported the incident involving cook, Eastbourne will report it too. It will go to a hearing. Most likely cause is that the scb will like to nip it in the bud as if the trackstaff man looks for legal advice on grounds of assault it will bring the sport into disrupt. Didn’t something like this happen at Coventry with sarj & greaves. And the received a 24 month warning or something?
  13. In fairness to Bowtell he went under Kurtz on turn 3 the other day and didn’t make contact and not many people can go that tight into turn 3! I’ve only seen cook and Nicholls to it to Kennett so far this year
  14. With gilkes and Ablitt only needing to complete one more fixture to get an average it’s not looking great for Kent with the uncertainty of spooners fitness dropping to reserve and a big score from Ablitt could see him leapfrog ledwith too?
  15. Knew I wasn’t going mad in my old age just yet - thank you.
  16. I think Ablitt’s problem is he never really did much competitive racing on a 500? As opposed to the Thompson twins and Palin who did a lot of before meeting races and the whole winter amateur meetings at Scunthorpe etc. He only raced the 250 then when it came to racing the 500 he actually had very little experience on it hence why he’s so raw and crashes?
  17. And in fairness to bowtell he has ridden at 3 something which Brennan wood nor Morley have done..and he’s been out at 6 the harder number of the two reserve spots
  18. Wasn’t there a review in the speedway star at the start of the year saying there would be potential injuries at Kent due to the nature of the riders I can’t remember if it was a fan like previous years or club one by the press officers of the clubs but I believe I read it somewhere?
  19. There aren’t many riders on 6.53 or less averages to go in place of ledwith so Kent will just have to run rr for spooner (not terrible as Ablitt and Gilkes can take rides) and use guest like Edwards for ledwith
  20. How one earth can they fit 9 point riders in?? They had the chance to replace Kemp with Bowen or bowtell who would never drop their starting average by 2 points and they’ve missed that chance now the averages have all inflated (mainly ledwith). As it is apparent Kemp a great talent his average was mainly attained from spending so long at reserve last year at Mildenhall)
  21. Yeah they’re over the limit? Limit goes from 38 to 40 so eagles have actually lost potential points to use?
  22. To say there is nothing wrong with the track is quite a bold statement.. since day one there has always been an issue with the track at Kent. There are many issues mainly with shape and size. They definitely did not use the potential of the site to its fullest which is a shame as no curfew and you have a championship team waiting to go.
