  1. Rain would definitely ruin belle vues home track advantage as it did in the last tie.
  2. 3. Ellis Perks - 2', 2', 3, 3, 0 = 10+2 Just last month he scored this in their away win as a heatleader..
  3. Ah so really a 45 point score home and away is a good average?
  4. I wouldn’t have a clue, now you say it that makes more sense as I guess they pay for the whole meeting so double that figure...
  5. Fact is.. whether you’re making a loss of 1p or £1m you’re making a loss. I personally can’t see how moving up will help Plymouth as the costs must be nearly tripled? I don’t know what costs go into running a speedway team but surely just thinking of it as a business I’d guess your costs are: track rent, medical, insurance, riders wages, mileage, track staff, referees I presume take a wage? Whats the average NL rider? £20pp x 45 £900 what’s the average CL rider? £70pp x 45 £3150 so just in rider wages as I’m guessing that’s the only tangible cost from those above. I guess they can charge £15/£16 for championship £3150 - 900 = 2250 / £15 = they’d need an extra 150 people through the gate. That’s a big risk as if you don’t get the 2250 each night 15 home meetings at a loss of 2250£ Not quite six figure but it’s a 5 figure loss!
  6. Ten teams prem & ten teams championship with Glasgow, Sheffield, Leicester and Somerset moving up Peterborough moving down. Plymouth & Kent moving into the championship. With the chance of one other club to join. Cubs, Heathens, potters I doubt will continue. With 3 teams moving up and 3 teams not continuing. NL is left with 3/4 teams if rye house come back leaving a glorified mdl type league. British speedway is not in a good way
  7. Very brave too. Can the crowdsize comprehend the added costs? Only the promotion will know
  8. Speedway needs an independent body or panel with no ties to any club and the head someone with experience but no ties.
  9. Yes unfortunately Eastbourne making the step up didn’t pay off results wise but I guess they will always have the history books of making finals in every year in nl something more than Kent have even without the big fish in Brum and Eastie
  10. I’m not picking on Kent..I’m just saying for some to say spooner is revitalised I think it incorrect. I do wish him well as I see he withdrew.
  11. Add another no score for spooner...
  12. Sorry I’m merely referring to the fact that the nl next year will be a glorified MDL and your 6 pointers now will be next years number ones. Hence why nobody will support to watch the racing at that price tag. And Cradley would not exist
  13. Hopefully a big crowd for Cradley. Clegg fantastic round perry Barr and will suit Smith more than wolves does. Equally so Perks is exceptional at this level round there as is Hume. And the Thompson twins grew up round there. But hopefully fans from all 3 clubs turn up and if it is to be the last of a NL Cradley bow out with a big crowd. Support your team heathens fans.
  14. I hope spooner has come back revitalised because he seems to be one of those riders that could end up as a heat leader in this league but then other times shows that he can’t? Obviously injuries have hindered him.. but again only looking at the updates Heaney only beaten riders you’d expect him to beat? 4+1 against young lions In which he beat sheldon Davies twice and leek once and James Laker. I see he then went to Cradley and got 9+1 from 5 beating McGurk, Chattin Wooley Chattin mcgurk,Harris, ledwith (fx) then mcgurk twice more so actually since his lay off he’s beaten one team mate who fell and a second string once and 6 2 pointers... I hope he proves me wrong as it’ll set up an excellent semi final if he’s firing.
  15. I heard he had retired too? And was back on the grass?
  16. Morley does seem to always pull something out of the bag at the nlrc. But looking at the field recently it’s only perks who is a heat leader in the championship. I think this could be his year of: premiership winner, premiership supporters cup winner, championship shield winner, championship winner, national league winner, national league ko cup winner, nlrc winner not bad for a kid who 18 months ago wasn’t coming back...
  17. Rathbone has also gained experience at 2&4 this year whereas spooner has spent the majority injured and Mulford only ridden Kent at number 7
  18. 2 appearances I make 6 (official and unofficial) He’s ridden: young lions 8+2 from 5 Mildenhall 9+3 from 5 Belle Vue 10+3 from 7 Stoke FX - from 1 cradley 5+3 from 6 Belle vue 3 +2 from 4 35 + 13 / 28 5 or 6.85 with bonus points not sure what your rose tinted glasses are seeing but he’s no Kemp/Brennan/Bickley/Jenkins/Palin/Gilkes/Flint 2 pointer - not saying he’s not good but he’s not set the world alight yet. Plus has he actually ridden any speedway tracks other than Kent and kings lynn?
  19. I have and I’ve also seen his machinery
  20. Belle vue I think are still too strong for Kent Rathbone should be able to clean up the other reserves.
  21. He is very frustrating and his points are usually wrong. I believe he used to race and seems to have a bitterness towards the powers that be and the sport as if it owes him a favour?
