Bradley Wilson Dean the kiwi, was #1 for Eastbourne this season and had the highest average in the NL for 3 months at 10.38

Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?
Filth replied to Paul Johnson's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
His grandparents are British, his father is a British citizen, bradley has British patriality. -
Richy Andrews the local boy at 7 would be good, followed him in the NL for Eastbourne and he showed a lot of potential.
-
I spoke to brad yesterday as he was at a local race meeting in Auckland and from what I understand, he has said he has got to go in to the premier on a 5 point average but it's making it hard for him to get a team place and he's had no offers so national league for another season could be a possibility.

Eagles Vs Brummies Gold Cup Part 2 7:30 Saturday
Filth replied to Alex2000's topic in National League Speedway
Everyone has off nights occasionally, BWD had his first real off night of the season, considering he's been by far the most consistent rider in the team if not one of the most consistent in the league judging by his average.. Spiller I suspect was exhausted from the flight and he sometimes struggles to ride out in the dirt, German tracks are very slick I believe. -
Argos you seem to really have it in for Eastbourne. Where's the problem in flying a British rider over from his adopted homeland to ride speedway? He's a kid trying to live his dream as a speedway rider, I can't see how anyone can complain. It's common knowledge amongst the fans at Eastbourne that Daniel rides for free, because he's doing it for the love of the sport and to gain experience, Eastbourne only supply him with bikes and flights. Shall we have a whinge about how Branford learnt his trade in Australia and is flown down from Edinburgh to ride for rye house each week? Thought not...

Brummies Vs Eagles 7th October 7:30 Gold Cup Final 1st Leg
Filth replied to Alex2000's topic in National League Speedway
Eastbourne by 24 on aggregate -
He is in fact referring to the old silencers from 2010, which are still legal in New Zealand where he has learnt his trade. The old style silencers are straight through and allow the bike to expel exhaust gas freely which lets the bike power through the dirt a lot easier. The newest exhaust systems do in fact have a 25mm hole in the "silencer" but they are expensive and I can only assume that he is still on the 2011 exhausts which don't have any hole in the actual silencer. It was good to see that Bradley returned to Rye house after that speedway star interview, and that terrible crash, and won 4 of his 5 races last Saturday. Top of the NL averages multiple times this season, #1 for Eastbourne.

Wilson is his fathers name and dean is his mothers name and his mother. His real name is Bradley Dean, remember him as a lad at Rosebank in his early years riding only as Bradley dean, adopted his fathers last name after a couple of seasons. As for these young lads I've not seen JPB or waj in the flesh but have watched Bradley over the years and he certainly is a racer, gives 110% even when its not exactly necessary, have seen him have some huge spills fighting for minor placings in nothing meetings. Won his first New Zealand title at the age of 4 in motocross, again at 6 and then moved on to speedway as he got older. Certainly is a true born racer.

Buxton V Eastbourne Or King's Lynn - 13th September

I think he'll go wherever the money is. NL or PL -

That rule only applies to guesting in the PL, there is no reason why he couldn't do PL and NL next season with his 5.00 assessed average -
Only way for them to continue to progress is to make the step up. Waj is good, BWD is better but also comes on a 5.00 not a 3.00 I've been told. Would have to go for BWD in my opinion, he's a true racer and the step up will do him some good. I watched him at the start of the year go from third place and catch all the way up to pass James sarjeant and take the win, a born racer he is, and a professional off the track also.

Kent Vs Eastbourne Monday 17th August 6:30pm
Filth replied to Alex2000's topic in National League Speedway
Should be a comfortable win for eastie, BWD always goes good there, chessell hit and miss but hopefully a good night for him, Owen hitting some good form lately, hopwood doing well honk he can get the better of Shane's once or twice, sugars goes well around Central Park and he track is similar to a German track so will suit spiller down to a T -

Rye House Raiders V's Eastbourne Eagles Sat 15th Aug 7pm
Filth replied to Hob Nob's topic in National League Speedway
Looking forward to seeing BWD and Dan Spiller, with Ben Hopwood in the team this time and Owen riding well I can see an Eagles win hopefully! -
I think we will see BWD in the fast track at Swindon and for Eastbourne in the NL
-
Latest on that is that he comes in on a 3.00 next season in the PL :-) same as any other rider going from the NL to the PL

What Is The Situation With Wilson-dean?
Filth replied to Filth's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Because "technically" he has a PL average of over 4.00 which means he's ineligible to guest as a NL only rider in the PL. he would need to be named in a PL 1-7 to be eligible to guest. -

Filth replied to Filth's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think you'll find that he's said on his website and even in the speedway star that he's been given a 5.00 for this season, and a 7.00 for next. -

Scunny don't have 4 home and 4 away league meetings left so would that mean he doesn't get an average even if he did sign for them? -

He's been assessed on a 5.00 average in the PL for this season but has said he bspa will assess him on a 7.00 average next season. How does that work?? -
BWD has already said he would love to ride for GB. his grandmother was born in Portsmouth, his great grand father and grand mother on both sides of his family were from England. There's no doubt he has British blood in his veins, regardless of which soil he was born on.

What Is The Situation With Wilson-dean?
Filth replied to Filth's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
He's riding in the "national development league" which is classed as an amateur league, so as the rule states, he should go into the PL on a 3.00. He's said on Facebook that it's nothing to do with the ukvi as he has a visa which allows him to come and go into the UK and EU countries freely, He's evenly openly admitted that he would happily ride for GB if need be. It's the bspa making up these rules for him which is pretty disappointing.. This kid is what New Zealand has been needing for far too long and I just hope the powers that be don't ruin it for him. -

I thought the same. I see in this weeks speedway star Bradley has said that the bspa have told him next season he will have to come in to the PL on an assessed 7.00 average?! He's said that if that is the case then he will finish up with speedway as realistically no one would take him on a 7.00 average as even he knows he's only worth taking on a 3.00 or a 5.00 at a push. Would be a shame to lose him from British speedway as I really can see a young Ronnie Moore in him. -

I think you mean New Zealand not Australian SCB, Ryan Terry Daley is basically a kiwi anyway as he moved there at a young age and learnt his trade I New Zealand. But yes you're right the last 10 of 12 winners have been British. Sad that NZ is happy to let British riders race in their country and national championships yet when a young kiwi is trying to make it in the sport they do everything to hinder his progress. Josh bates can do 3 leagues yet BWD can only do 1, that just seems crazy to me.
